“A Ranger, a pilot, and a doctor walk into a bar...”

That was pretty much my life in Hawai'i until my two brothers got married.

Now I’m the last man standing.

Not a problem.

With an 8-pack and a Bronze Star, I’m not exactly lacking company in my waterfront condo on Mauna Kea Beach.

Toss in my M.D. and the mastery of female anatomy that comes with it, and I can make a woman beg for more.

Unless she’s Samantha.

Samantha’s got a life on the mainland that puts her off-limits.

So why am I playing tour guide for her... and discovering just how tempting she looks when the turquoise water of Kealakekua Bay soaks her too-skimpy suit?

She’s the best friend of my sister-in-law. Godmother to my niece.

A fling is not in the cards. A hook-up? Impossible.

But then, this is Hawai'i.

Anything is possible in paradise.

Island Fever is a full-length romance, Book Three of the Aloha, Sheridans series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Grab an icy margarita and enjoy... it's hot in paradise!

When Kate Aster was in fifth grade, she wrote her debut novel on a spiral-bound notebook–a science fiction which ended with the tragic destruction of all humanity.

Fortunately, she’s gotten a lot more upbeat.

Now preferring romantic settings and blissfully happy endings, Kate just released her eighth book available on Amazon.

Kate is an avid snorkeler, “beach read” fanatic, and margarita connoisseur. She is so grateful for the support and positive reviews from her readers. Thank you!

Dodger and Samantha meet at Annie's weeding. Now she's back for a visit with her god daughter Little Kaila. Baby K is sick and Annie tells Samantha she is staying with Dodger until the baby is better. Sam is having a terrible couple months. She lost her job and boyfriend and now can't even see her bestie. Dodgers luck with the ladies is no better now Hailey has left the island for a job in the states and Dodger finds himself single once again and the dating pool on the island is slim.

Both are attracted to each other both think the other is still dating someone. Trying to resist the pull of attraction they spend time having fun and becoming friends. Dodger loves showing Samantha how to relax and just let things go. Sam is loving seeing all the amazing things Hawaii has to offer.

Once the air is clear and they understand they are both single they realize they really care for one a other. Sam with a new job offer in DC and Dodger feeling unfulfilled they figure it out in the end.

Great series set in paradise

Finding a job to pay the bills AND someone to love, in Hawaii isn't easy. Tourism is the major employer by far, and those jobs don't pay all that much. You meet many tourists, who are only there for a week or two, so not a lot of love connections. I will concede that it must be easier when both the men and women involved are gorgeous. This series would be great as tourist guides (don't miss this) but add in romance and all you need to add is a fruity drink with an umbrella.
Mahalo to Kate Aster!

Getting hot on the big island

How is it that when Dodger spends time with Samantha, he feels more chemistry after a few days together that he did with Hailey after nearly a year of trying?

Well, it looks like those Hawaiian Sheridan boys have finally found true love. It sure took long enough.

Next on my reading list is the Special Ops: Home front series. I'm going to enjoy this.

Enjoy and happy reading!

great read

I really liked this read, was different yet the same but different. Even so, I like that Dodger starts to change how he thinks and Sam learns there is more than working 95 a week.

Sweet

This is a sweet take on true love, though I found it a bit fast. However, the characters are lovely, especially Dodger. Sweet quick read.

Standalone. 1st person dual pov. No violence. Steamy.
