Varnoth’s journey through the lush fantasy world of Albattara continues. After the defeat of the Derelict Gang’s crime boss, Atlas, all seems well for the countryside. However, a horrific event occurs that forces the shadow panther into leading a massive group of diverse refugees as they search desperately for a safe haven. This time around Varnoth is not alone. Interesting, fleshed-out side characters join the fight alongside the Black Blade. Varnoth will battle terrifying monsters and go on amazing quests as he grows into one of the most powerful heroes in all the land. This power will be needed as a new dark threat from deep underground threatens the fantasy world.

Will Varnoth and his new friends be strong enough to protect the people of Albattara in this epic LitRPG?

I loved the first book and this book did not disappoint from start to finish this book is fantastic. There's no wasted excess unneeded details, the MC does not spend chapter after chapter not knowing what the heck he's doing or what's going on. and the fight scenes are brutally depicted and are exciting My only disappointment or con to the book is that I don't have the third one already look it's a book you need to pick up you will love it.

On Audible Jack Voraces does all of the voices and he does them absolutely amazing you truly can tell the difference between all of the characters absolutely a treat to listen to.

Intensely Good

Another riveting story about Varnoth’s adventures. I’m really enjoying the path Varnoth is traveling and where his adventures are taking him. Can’t wait for the next book

I'm afraid the author has no idea how to play RPG games. For example, the main character, which is based on dexterity, has more points in strength.

The Black Blade Cat

Love this. A Black Blade Cat continues his adventure at a cost. A castle to call his own. Will things get better.

Upgraded action, skills, quests, loot, and characters

I recently finished listening to the first book and I have to say that the author has definitely improved upon his debut novel. The writing really draws you in more to this one than the first. The author definitely put more thought into developing the characters.

A few things that stood out to me a lot more in this book than the last.

More characters with unique personalities. Especially John - Son of Ray and Hennegarron.

The dialogue between the characters flows more naturally and you get more insight into who they are. Also, I am a big fan of the weapon/instrument the Hammertar.

Varnoth’s abilities get some pretty cool upgrades. I mean an ability where you can make daggers rain from the sky is pretty cool.

There are plenty of quests with corresponding rewards/xp. This story has a ton of action that works well for me since I need to stay engaged while reading. The author definitely focuses on the action and dialogue instead of focusing on excessive world building, which may or may not be your thing, but works for me.

One area that was improved for my was Varnoth’s stats. While sometimes the stats didn’t translate (Varnoth pretty much is an unstable beast no matter what his strength is) I still appreciated the effort. Again I think the new abilities/skills/loot are the star of this book.

I will definitely continue on with this series. If you like good/gory fight scenes and a lot of action with a unique MC, I’d definitely recommend this one.
