Vampocalypse

Rate this book
Vampires have infiltrated the highest offices of the United States government. Secretly working with top scientists in the CDC and the nation’s most prestigious universities, this clandestine network creates the ultimate weapon for the undead: a particle bomb that, once detonated, transforms any humans within the blast radius into vampires.

The world’s human leaders deploy nuclear weapons in a desperate attempt to quell the out-of-control vampire infestation. In their quest for global domination, the vampires propel the world into the greatest of all wars. A nuclear winter envelops the planet, which provides a haven for the vampires to rise up and fully realize their domination over humankind.

Prater Saxon, a half-human/half-vampire survivor in the post-apocalyptic aftermath of the war, lives alone in a world in ruins. Despite his efforts to maintain his solitude as he makes his way through the desolate wastelands, Prater finds himself drawn into a new war brewing between the humans and vampires.

For millennia, humans ruled the Earth. Their rule…may have finally come to an end.

VAMPOCALYPSE introduces the characters that make up both the pre-war and post-apocalyptic world. The tale is told like a serial adventure, bringing the reader into the lives of both the vampires in power, as well as the humans who fight to live each day in a world in which they don’t belong.

The dead or should I say the undead are rising but this time it is not zombies. No this time around it is vampires. Vampires are rising to the top of the government and are trying to rid the world of humans by turning them all into vampires or getting rid of them all together. Vampires want to take over the world and make it theirs but humans will not stand by and let the undead take over.

War between the humans and vampires is on the horizon. To try and control the vampire infestation the humans bring out the big guns, nuclear weapons resulting in a nuclear winter leaving room for the vampires to rise up against the humans.

I was drawn into this book by its title Vampocalypse I knew once I saw that title I had to read it and it was everything I was expecting and more. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Vampocalypse is a new twist on vampires and the undead.

I really and truly love the world that was created for Vampocalypse. I have been looking for a book like this for a very long, long, long time, a book with vampires instead of zombies. I have always loved vampires but I fell hard and heavy for zombies and have thought about a book like this lots of times since. I think we need more books like this.

Vampocalypse has all of my favorite things in it like post-apocalyptic world, the undead, vampires, war, fighting and just trying to survive in a world that is no more.

I highly, highly recommend Vampocalypse to all fans of post-apocalypse, apocalyptic, zombies and vampires of course. One click your copy today to begin this wonderful journey into a new world of the undead apocalyptic.

This story has all the key plot points for a B rate horror movie in all the best ways. It’s also nice to see vampires that are evil and grossest but not completely inhuman to the point of wondering if you can call them vampires.

It’s not a cute fun story but if you like mayhem and carnage and over the top villainy it’s great.
