I was so excited that this had the orchestra of Romeo and Juliet highlighted! Prokofiev’s music from Romeo and Juliet is something I listen to often. I hope that younger children reading this book learn about the music I fell in love with and have the same reaction!

The mystery itself was good, and I enjoyed the ending.

Love that this book was based around Violet! She is really so talented at the violin and was happy she got a chance to show it off. The mystery I did not see coming tho🥸.

I love it when my kids press a book into my hands and insist that I must read this because it's so good. Beyond just encouraging literacy, it's great to see what elements of pop culture resonate with a developing mind.

Any book that gets and holds a child's interest is good, and any series which goes into the multi-dozen volumes must have a lot going for it, so I won't knock this book too much. The story moved swiftly, the interactive elements effectively encourage readers to solve the mystery before the solution is revealed, and I really appreciate any story about young women supporting and empowering each other.

On the other hand, given that this is a book featuring a group of young women, it should feature more diverse body types in the art: every one of the protagonist mice is identically-built and of course, they're all slim and able-bodied. Yes, I get it, they're mice not people but it feels like such a missed opportunity to work against the rampant fatphobia and ableism in kidlit.

The Thea sisters have another mystery to solve. Someone is sabotaging the play which is violets dream play. While violet practices the violin her friends try to solve the mystery. This book is like all the other books in almost all the books the answer is 2 twins trying to cause the chaos. I knew it and its not a mystery if thou know the answer. Otherwise the book was good. 4/5.

I feel like identical twins are used too much in the (Geronimo and Thea) Stilton books as bad guys. Idk why but it bugs me.

This one was interesting. I may be slightly biased because it is set in beautiful London. This was a fun read. I just love how these are such easy reads. I’ll admit, the mystery aspect didn’t really hook me in. What really drew me in was the value of friendship. I just loved seeing the whole characters be there for one another. I’m slowly trying to get back into this series and I forget how unique each character is. For sure there is one girl you can relate to! This was a solid middle grade adventure read filled with beautiful illustrations and fun facts!

*REREAD at 2020*

So the author has the urge to sometimes make each Thea Sister have a slight point of view from some chapters, but that’s a good thing, right? We want to know what’s been going on inside their heads.

Takes me back to where it’s almost as if it has a similar vibe to their Orient Express mystery case.
