This book has everything! Love , betrayal, family druma. I spice of bdsm with some romance and true love. So like I said everything. I won't give the story away but I will say the love alejandro has for Thomas is the love we should all be lucky to have. I stayed up until 2 in the morning to finish the book. And it's so worth the lost sleep.

I loved this take on the age old vampire story and especially the twist of the appearance of the most famous vampire of them all.
Alejandro Nicoara is a 600 year old vampire and he is on the run from an angry mob in London. To escape he jumps into a trunk, discarding the books inside and ends up in a Puritan community in America. Thomas Hanson is eagerly awaiting his shipment of books, as reading is his way of removing himself from the religious community that he lives in and where he can lose himself in the pages and be who he really wants to be. He gets the surprise of his life when he realises that it's not books in his trunk but sexy Alejandro. When the Puritan priest notices a man leaving Thomas's house late at night, all their lives change for ever and Thomas and Alejandro find themselves in a wild adventure into the vampires past and the love that soon grows between them.
This is the first book I have read by this author and it wont be the last. I was totally engrossed in the story and loved all the twists and turns along the way, especially the unexpected appearance of the best known vampire of them all. I think it's important to read the trigger warnings but if you love a good mm vampire love story, then you will love reading this.

This includes Triggers, so if your of faint at heart this isn't the book for you.

Sorry I got to about 52% and had to stop. Scenes included where triggers for me with Thomas.  Up to that point I was liking the story.

The book set in 1691 period. In Salem at this time religious men believed sodomites where evil and we'll you can guess what happens then, and it ain't good.
Tough scenes which leads to Alejandro finding a companion in Thomas.
Scenes of Master and Sir, virginity taken and more (no spoilers here😉)

When Alejandro jumps into a trunk replacing himself with books has new adventure begins.  Running from an angry mob after his vampire self he seeks safety on a ship.
Thomas was excited about receiving his books but what he gets is very different.
