A race of lizardlike aliens are rampaging their way through planets, Vile is the ruthless leader, and the warriors that once caused his submission have been encased in seven distinct necklaces so that when the next service of warriors find them, the powers would be available.

Ezmer is a fifteen year old farm boy and artist. Little did he know, his parents fought against Vile during the first war and upon Viles return to a destructive force slain Ezmer's parents. This starts the journey, Ezmers life changes forever.

With all heroic journey stories, the main character does not go it alone, Ezmer starts collecting his cast if heroes, helpers and enemies. While there are many he meets on his journey, they are all unique and creatively created.

My two cents... I met this author at a comic con. I wasn't really impressed by the cover, but the author was nice. I was looking for something appropriate for a young adult reader as well as me, that still had the adventure type story that us role playing geeks enjoy. This did not disappoint. I would surely let my 11 year old read this. The characters were described pretty awesome, I loved the uniqueness of the cast. I never got bored reading or felt like it was too overwhelming. I also bought the second book and I am looking forward to seeing how the story continues.

I have to be honest I didn't even finish this book. The writing style was incredibly sloppy and didn't get me interested. The plot was lacking and I just didn't have a good time reading it, it kind of made me cringe. I hate to sound mean but that's just my honest opinion. I won't be continuing with this series, but I hope that this author continues to write and continues to get better at writing and learns from their mistakes.

It was a great thriller and lots of plots. It was way different then any other mythical book I read before. Can’t wait for the next book to read from him.

Very interesting book with a mix of sci fi and super natural. There seemed to be some gaps that could have been filled in to make the story flow smoother. Overall, it was a good book.

This book is amazing! The author adds amazing detail. When I read this book I felt like I was in the room with the characters. I connected with this book really well. This book is awesome and I really recommend this book for anyone who likes fantasy, fiction, and sci-fi(kinda). Once you read the prologue(I highly recommend it to get a better idea of what happens) you will never want to put the book down.
