Wow. Auch der zweite Teil der Reihe hat es in sich. Bereits der erste Teil war ein Wechselbad der Gefühle. Teil zwei steht dem ersten Teil in nichts nach. Ihr müsst auf jeden Fall den ersten Teil vorher gelesen haben. Die Geschichte von Mason und Emilia ist einfach wow. Mason ist ein Arsch. Wie konnte er ihr das antun. Ich hätte ihn am liebsten schütteln können. Er merkt selber, dass es sein größter Fehler im Leben war. Die Jahre ohne einander haben beiden auf einer Seite gut getan. Jeder ist auf seine Art stärker geworden. Auch wenn es für beide hart war. Ich habe so mit den beiden gelitten. Ich finde es toll, dass Emilia, Keaton und Olivia sich durch Ereignisse näher gekommen sind. Ich konnte das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen. Ich war vollkommen fasziniert von der Geschichte. Die Charaktere sind super ausgearbeitet und kommen sehr authentisch rüber. Ich hasse Seth und Cherry. Die beiden kann ich nicht leiden. Das Cover ist wunderschön und passt super zum Buch bzw. zur Reihe. Die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven im dem Buch gefallen mir super. Durch die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven kann man sich super in die Charaktere hineinversetzen. Der Schreibstil der Autorinnen ist absolut fesselnd und mitreißend. Ich liebe den Schreibstil der zwei Autorinnen. Ich kann das Buch nur weiterempfehlen. Für mich hatte das Buch alles was man sich wünscht. Ich freue mich riesig auf den dritten Teil. Vielen Dank für die tollen Lesestunden. ❤️❤️❤️

I didn't like Cherry. That's why I had to put this book a lot of time away. 🐠 I hated that she were a part of Mason's life. So I will give this a 3,7.

REVIEW of ENGLISH Version

Mason, Mason, Mason . . . .
Was there ever a more gorgeous, arrogant, manipulative, egomaniacal, jealous, possessive, domineering ALPHA JERK?
NO, there is not.
(And considering who his father is, that is saying something HUGE).
And yet, somehow, someway, this reader finds him beyond sexy, mesmerizing, FASCINATING. I really shouldn't; in addition to the above listed traits, he's extremely selfish, stalker obsessive, indolent, self-absorbed, lacks emotional control & is concerned ONLY with HIS desires, wants & needs.
Why then IS this man so utterly & completely attractive to me?
All I am able to conclude is it is the sheer mastery of the authors writing. That they are able to make such a normally dislikable character so intriguing, so engrossing, so captivating, so d*mn DESIRABLE (at least for me).
And, make no mistake that is exactly what Mason is.
With Mason the authors have created a larger-than-life anti-Hero whose presence, thoughts & actions seem to vibrate off the pages enthralling the hapless reader. No matter WHAT Mason thinks or does, how much he messes up his relationship with Emilia, I want to forgive him, cross my fingers he or his parents will fix what seems to be damaged beyond repair. And believe me, Mason messes up, big-time. Because the only way he knows to keep Emilia as his is the equivalent of using ball peen hammer to kill a fly. He simply has no ability (or desire, quite frankly) to use his natural charm & charisma, his underused intelligence, his latent empathy, any MODERATION to keep Emilia permanently as his.
And the authors have also deftly created Mason's other half, Emilia. She too is extremely selfish, obsessive, self-absorbed, lacks emotional control relative to HER desires, wants & needs. Although Emilia's childhood & her parents played the majority of what made her into the person she is, as opposed to DNA & natural personality for Mason. Constantly unsure of her worth, insecure, rabidly in love with Mason, Emilia consciously embraces & accepts whatever treatment or punishment Mason chooses to dish out. As long as Mason's focus is on her, she is in his bed & she is the one he controls & lusts after, Emilia is sated, satisfied & relatively at peace.
But then Mason goes that one step too far & shatters everything for both of them . . . .
IMO this 2nd book in Mason & Emilia's story is a blistering expose of two deeply, deeply flawed people flailing about & thinking they've found The One. But at this point in their lives, they're both too self-destructive, too reactive, too emotionally uncontrolled to think of anyone but themselves & their own carnal & primitive desires. And so, they're like gasoline & a spark just waiting for the cataclysmal explosion to ignite.
And for me, the simply mesmerizing appeal of their story is HOPE.
I am so hoping Mason & Emilia grow; I hope they heal; I hope they somehow, someway, despite the daunting obstacles in their paths find a HEA. Together.
I know neither Mason or Emilia are likable, or at this point in their lives, good people. But their journey is utterly spellbinding & absorbing & this reader could NOT put this one down. For the reader who CRAVES being engrossed in the writing, the plot & especially characters who are not paragons of perfection, for the reader who DELIGHTS in being whirled into the journey WITH characters you CARE about:

Such an emotional rollercoaster!! My brain cannot process the amount of craziness that goes down in this book. And I say that in a good way! The characters are so deeply twisted and the story gets an unimaginable turn which genuinely shocked me. After days of reading this, I’m still hungover from Mason and Emilia’s story. I read this so fast but I didn’t want it to end because it was that good.
I would die for Emilia’s character development!! She had such a personality glow up, which made me love her so much. Mason is still the same old himself, the toxic, twisted and controlling guy who thinks the world revolves around him. My favorite character is Keaton, Mason’s dad. I also surprisingly ended up liking Riley in this book even tho I hated him in the first one.
These two writers are so good, to the point where they manage to make us hate and love a character at the same time. They can make a messed up situation make sense and make a fu*ked up character lovable. It’s just so damn good and emotional. The first book made me feel everything but this one?! It shattered every single atom in my brain. I had to stop reading multiple times so I could calm down because I was so enraged and furious at some characters’ decisions. That’s why I love this book so much. Because it made me feel things no other book ever did. This not only is a 2020 favorite, but it made it to the all time favorite list. None of the toxic, abusive stuff in the book is romanticized. It’s just represented in an amazing way. Just AMAZING! Highly recommend it to romance lovers but make sure to check the trigger warnings first. It’s a dark romance so it contains quite some heavy topics.

ach du schande.
es wird nicht besser, ehrlich ich mag die beiden autorinnen eigentlich echt gern aber das ist so absolut brainfuck. das mason emilia betrügt war mir ja so klar und ich wollt dieses buch gegen die wand klatschen, jedes mal wenn er erneut versuchte sein verhalten zu erklären. auch hier wird gewalt gegen frauen wieder einmal verherrlicht, was ich super toxisch in diesem ausmaß finde. ach und, er verbietet ihr einfach zu studieren weil sie da ja neue leute kennenlernt??? mason bruder, such dir hilfe, deine eltern haben dich nicht so erzogen. ENDLICH hat emilia einmal ihre gehirnzellen genutzt und gemerkt „oh scheisse, vielleicht ist mason ja nicht so gut für mich“ und ist abgehauen. mein persönliches highlight, DER ZWEITE PART DREI JAHRE SPÄTER. emilia ist aufeinmal super tough und selbstbewusst, wohnt in new york und hat einen neuen macker (der auch ein absolutes arschloch ist) und mason arbeitet beim fbi und wohnt ALLEINE. emilia geht sogar zur therapie doch mit ihrem Therapeuten hat sie ein verhältnis🤡🤡. als mason erneut auftaucht da er ja NiChT oHnE sIe LeBeN kAnN tut sie erstmal auf eiskalt aber schon bald ist er wieder in ihrem höschen. alles in allem, ich hab mehrmals geschrien vor dummheit. Remember how i was head over heels with the first book? Well this one is a complete other universe. Words can not even get close to describe how good this book was.
I would part this one in three parts. In the first one, i cried my eyes out. I hurt for Emilia. My heart clenched at every word i had to read, especially from Mason POV. It felt like suddenly he was letting her go. And no matter how fucked up she was, she gave up a lot of things for him and didn’t deserve half the shit Mason put her through. I hated him a little in every sob.
The second part, will make you forget every stupid shit he did to her. And you will find yourself falling in live with Mason just like Emilia. You will adore him and his sense of protection.
In the last part, i dont know about you, but i got a little disappointed in both of them. Mason got back to being a caveman and Emilia got back to not having a bone and submitting herself to every order. She had just found some light and was confidential, strong, sassy. I liked the new her. But the ending entailed that she slipped into her old self. Cant wait to see what will happen in the third book.
Despite that, the writing style, as per usual was one of my favorite. The authors have such a way with words and narration that will leave you with wanting more.

This was such a strong sequel. As crazy as the first book. More of an emotional roller-coaster than the first book. I was all over the place reading this. I lost my sanity. If I had any left after reading so many dark romances, this book just took it all.
My not full 5⭐ is because of the cheating part. I hate cheating. I hate reading about it. I can't believe Mason did that. But on the other hand what goes around comes around in Emilia's case this was karma but still I can't stop feeling for her.
These two characters are one of the most messed up ones I've ever read about. They're different but equally fucked up. They love each other with such selfishness and they're prepared to destroy anything that comes between them, even one another, even themselves. So freaking toxic and yet I couldn't stop reading. It was so good in the most gritty, painful, poisonous and emotional way possible.

Mason and Emilia's twisted story continues! Can Mason and Emilia be happy together after all this time? Mason needs to control everything and Emilia's not one to be ordered about every step of the way. The development of the characters from the first one is explosive! the story more dark and twisting and theres more to come! how will this roller coaster ride end will they get a HEA or the best their gonna get?

I don't think I will ever get up, I am mad about the time skip. But I did not predict what would happen in this book, so I think I loved it even more than the first.
I found Seth a bit predictable and don't get me started on Daniels, can someone please just do their goddamn job. I beg.
Toxic, addictive, was a bit torn as I do not believe abuse is ever okay. Like, ever. So I am kind of rooting for Emilia to find her own happy ending away from these fuckers.
I think Keaton and Olivia have their own series, not sure if I want to read it.

Irgendwie fehlen mir bei diesen Büchern zunächst immer die Worte. Ich habe gelitten, gehofft, geliebt aber auch gehasst.
Der 2. Teil ist genau wie der 1. mal wieder total Psycho und krank aber Mason entwickelt sich und wird zum Ende hin etwas sanfter. Und auch Emilia ist total erwachsen und reifer geworden. Ich liebe die beiden einfach so sehr.♥️

5-TEAR STAINED Stars!
Cry Baby Cry, boy did I cry and cry. My eyes are so puffy and I got a headache from all those pain filled heartwrenching tears. This story took everything and more. It's endless pages of heartache and angst but worth every year and more and yet I still want more.

An entertaining read
This unconventional tale -- written in second person and with a singular dark hilarity I don't often find in dark romance -- is as captivating as the first book. Mason is still crazy obsessed, still destructive with his level of unhinged but becomes more introspective; Emilia has matured and developed a backbone and a level of self-acceptance. She is comfortable in her person and sensuality, not afraid to embrace some of her darkness. In this tale everything is good until it isn't, and the couple's relationship is tested.
While I enjoyed the first book more, likely due the angst and newness of the storyline, this book still held my attention without relenting. This story portrays individual growth but the maturing of the main couple's relationship. The dialogue from Mason to Emilia, Emilia to Mason, Keaton to Olivia, and other partnering was gracefully woven as to create an intriguing, steamy, emotional read. Burning betrayal and love's redemption, I loved that every character was flawed. This unconventional tale -- written in second person and with a singular dark hilarity I don't often find in dark romance -- is as captivating as the first book. Mason is still crazy obsessed, still destructive with his level of unhinged but becomes more introspective; Emilia has matured and developed a backbone and a level of self-acceptance. She is comfortable in her person and sensuality, not afraid to embrace some of her darkness. In this tale everything is good until it isn't, and the couple's relationship is tested.
While I enjoyed the first book more, likely due the angst and newness of the storyline, this book still held my attention without relenting. This story portrays individual growth but the maturing of the main couple's relationship. The dialogue from Mason to Emilia, Emilia to Mason, Keaton to Olivia, and other partnering was gracefully woven as to create an intriguing, steamy, emotional read. Burning betrayal and love's redemption, I loved that every character was flawed. This book made me feel things I didn’t know I could feel. I have yelled so many times at my phone, I have lost count. I have hated and loved characters, and had those thoughts change, multiple times. It has broken my heart and mended it.
If you thought the first book was twisted, you have a bomb dropping your way. These characters are sick and twisted and you will never know what is going to happen next.
I actually loved it even more than the first book, which I didn’t think was humanly possible. The character development was amazing and I loved seeing these characters grow and become themselves, they still have a looong way to go but the process is great so far.
I cannot describe how much this book has made me feel. I will have a hard time getting over this book for a long time. Definitely one of my favorite reads of all time.
I am excited and scared, but I cannot wait, for book 3.

I didn't love this book as much as the first, but I still found myself flying through it. For the first third of the book, my heart was completely ripped out and torn to pieces. I thoroughly hated Mason and found myself bawling with Emilia. Then, suddenly, everything shifted and I loved Mason's transformation and found myself hating Emilia. After going to college, she is suddenly portrayed as strong and confident, yet that just involves her sleeping with multiple people?? I hated her for the second half of the book, thinking that she brought most of her problems onto herself. However, after reading the sneak preview for the third book, I was cheering for her again. Argh! This book is an emotional roller coaster, but I did enjoy it. I hope later in the series we will see Riley find happiness too!

Enthralling!
This book had me enthralled from the get go, the way the story flowed from book one into book two, hooked me from the very first word to the last. It was fast paced, hot, dirty, wicked and action packed, then suddenly your hanging on a knifes edge, at the end of this story, wanting to see what happens next, but can’t! The different points of views allowed the reader to be fully immersed in the story with the complex characters themselves. There transformation was astounding, the shocks, twists and turns had me laughing but gasping in frustration too, but that ending though, that was the icing on the cake!

Die Liebe wird zerstört und die Zeit vergeht. Beide sind nicht glücklich in ihrem Leben doch die Frage ist ob sie zusammen glücklich sein können.
Mason ist wie sein Vater und will IMMER ALLES kontrollieren, doch Emilia lässt sich nicht kontrollieren und wieder ist die Frage wer vor wem beschützt werden muss
Für mich fällt diese Serie eindeutig nicht unter Liebesgeschichte, sondern ist ein Psychothriller mit sexuellen Übergriffen, stalking usw
Den dritten Teil werd ich auf jeden Fall auch lesen

Und so besessen wie ich von "Run Baby Run" war, war ich es ebenfalls von dem zweiten Teil. Diese Intensität und diese Ungewissheit wie sich die beiden Protagonisten entwickeln werden.
Ich habe den zweiten Teil ebenfalls verschlugen wie den ersten. Ich habe total mitgefieber, mitgefühlt und verzweifelt gehofft!
Mein Herz hat sich schon bei dem ersten Teil regelmäßig zusammengezogen und ich war so unfassbar aufgeregt was als nächstes passiert.

I guessed it right! The second part of the Emilia and Mason series also managed to get my nerves completely exhausted! You grieve, hate, love and suffer with both of them. At times I even had to take breaks from reading because the story is so nerve-wracking. And yet, it's just addicting! It's so crazy! The books should come with a warning ...
I can recommend the first two books to everyone so far. Again very well written by the two authors!

I have to say that I am quite taken with these two authors. They compliment each other's style so well. The story flows, and the characters come to life. Mason and Emilia are so dark and twisted together that they are so bad for each other but cannot be apart. I had to go back and read Keaton and Olivia's story one more time. I hope this comes out in a set because it is an explosive series.

5-TEAR STAINED Stars!
Cry Baby Cry, boy did I cry and cry. My eyes are so puffy and I got a headache from all those pain filled heartwrenching tears. This story took everything and more. It's endless pages of heartache and angst but worth every year and more and yet I still want more.
