Sky Bennett is an events coordinator for Bali cruise line. Knox Hamilton is an internationally renowned pop star, and the dream boyfriend of teenage girls the world over.
When Sky’s boss decides to host a “celebrity experience” cruise for members of the public to interact with their favourite stars, their worlds will collide in ways neither of them ever expected. Sky’s friends keep telling her she and Knox are meant to be, but she could lose her job for being with him. Will she be able to keep away from him, or will he just keep reeling her back in? Or will Knox get too caught up fending off the teenage fan girls desperate to sink their claws into him to give her the time of day?
Maybe Sky will get to have her fairytale romance. Or maybe Knox will forget all about her when the week is up. Who knows what will happen on board the Faraday?
I fell in love with Sky and Knox. Their chemistry was explosive and they were so suited for each other. Their romance is taboo because of her job. Lots of drama, some twists, and romance galore. A good read with likable characters and an entertaining story. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.
What a great book. I loved everything about it starting with the well developed characters that are engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly making it one to read.

This story, isn’t bad, but it is the basic scheme of two ships passing in the night repeatedly. The theme is redundant and frustrating before any progress is made in the story itself.

I enjoyed the storyline but it was hard to jump to different characters. There needs to be a bigger space between scenes to let the reader know of a scene or character change. The story was incredible and definitely worth reading.
I only got one chapter in and decided it wasn’t for me. The POVs not being separated by chapter (or even headings within the chapters) made it confusing to read. Maybe I’ll try again in the future.
Rock star Knox Hamilton is set to go to sea on the Faraday "celebrity" cruise where he and his band will have and give full access to their fans who book the cruise. Sky Bennett is in charge of keeping them all straight and making sure that nothing goes wrong. It's her job to escort Knox to and from the activities that they have lined up for him. With so many screaming girls around him, Sky is a breath of fresh air for him and he appreciates that they can actually talk. Their time off becomes time spent together, as does the short time they have between activities. Sky's friends cheer for them to be together and Knox's bandmates can see that they have something special. But the contract reads that the staff of the Faraday cannot have any contact, outside of work, with any of the celebrity guests. Knox and Sky are very careful and meet in fairly private places, but not private enough. They are discovered and it's all over...or is it! This is a well-written story with an interesting plot, but it loses some momentum toward the end. Sky loses her backbone and runs from their problems rather than confront them head on. When she should fight for Knox, she hides and makes excuses. Even though there's a happy ending, it didn't feel really happy to me! I have to admit that the over-the-top behavior of bad girl Bianca had me cringing and laughing at the same time. The epilogue sweetened the story and puts a smile on your face!
Perchance to Dream is a fun and a sweet, low heat romance story; which creates a believable romantic situation filled with the progression of friendships developing, playful, and confident living in the moment; but, still uncertain at times. Hard set rules are charmingly; but willfully ignored and others are outright broken, then when reality sets in and with the result of the hard choices which must be made.
Ms. Jennifer Hartley’s crafting of this book makes the characters' thoughts and feelings about each other more important that the physical intimacy itself; that specific characteristic a book will pull in more readers. Explores the off-limits relationships of an on-board cruise ships; the playful flirting and frolics between guest and ship employees, well-written in a manner making it an appropriate book for readers of all ages. The beautiful and simplistic way Ms. Jennifer Hartley uses to demonstrated physical affection of her characters, makes her readers fall in love with; not only her characters but her books and become faithful and dedicated readers of her work.
Ms. Jennifer Hartley does it again and again, completing a well-written story with intrigue, and suspense, keeping her readers interest; even though there is a happy ending, it loses zing toward the end. Perchance to Dream is a certainly a must read for readers liking the action-packed, thrilling romance books, with a happy ever-after ending. I have stopped reading the synopsis of book before reading them, so that I would be totally surprised by the storyline and would not have any fixed prejudice about the book; either for or against it. Perchance to Dream, did happily surprise me with a satisfying quality to the relationship building experience; that is often lacking in some romance novels. I absolutely loved it! Well done, 4.5-stars goes to this segment of the book set.
I read the synopsis for the book and thought, this has promise.
Upon starting it the first thing that annoyed me was the switching between Sky and Knox. There was no clear cut ‘this is Knox now’ or ‘this is Sky’. It was frustrating to say the least.
The plot was excellent but it never followed through. You had this tension between the two but nothing. About 80% in there was a kiss. WTF!? After all this time THAT was all?
I was expecting hot and steamy and instead I got very, wry chaste. Not my cup of tea. Now rewrite it with some adult scenes and it would be better, in my opinion.
And nothing happened to the antagonist who was nothing but a conniving bitch. Seriously? Nothing?
I really wish it could have been improved by the epilogue but nope.
Sorry. If you are like me and like your hot and steamy rockstar romances, skip this one. You’ll be disappointed.
A well written fun sweet romance. This engaging storyline had me addicted page after page whike friendship develops, rules are bent while some are broken, and hard choices are to be made. The characters are interesting and well developed with amazing chemistry.

Sky works on a cruise ship. She was called last minute to work the celebrity cruise. When she meets lol star Knox Hamilton she's immune to his charm and surprised how his fans act. Knox is smitten by Sky. When they first met he thought she was a fan who snuck in to his room. He wants to see her more and more but Sky's boss Louis has rules. Can Sky follow the rules? Great read
Skye works on a cruise ship. Knox is a rock star. They meet when he is onboard her ship as one of the performers on a celebrity cruise. Add in other employees. Add in crazed fan girls. Add in some fun, lots of fun. Lots of laughs. And a few kisses. And a surprise happily ever after.
What a great read. Can't wait to read the next in the series.
The book is a softer; sweeter; low temperature burn romance that creates a believable romantic situation that avoids what I feel are trite '"insta-love," "insta-lust," and "alphaholes" tropes that seem so very popular with writers currently. There's a place for those items. I don't want to read about them over and over and feel like if I read one that I've read them all.
For this book, I didn't read the synopsis before reading it. I wanted to ARC it without knowing the gist so I would be totally surprised and wouldn't have a preconceived bias either for or against it. That was an excellent move for me.
The book did surprise me happily and satisfyingly with the quality of the relationship building that is often sorely lacking in more than a few romance novels. The softer, sweeter, slower kissing scenes feel amazingly and powerfully more intimate between the protagonists than some more detailed and explicit works I've read. The writer's crafting of the book makes the protagonists' thoughts and feelings about each other more important than how much lust they feel for each other. They become more central to the plot and story arcs than the type and detail of the physical intimacy itself. It is that specific aspect that pulled me into the story to experience what the characters felt and thought about each other. When the intimacy forms, it is a blend of mental, emotional, psychological that then puts the physical in context as not needing to be explicit to give contentment.
At several points, I was wondering when they would become physical after the continual flow of playful flirting and in what form it would take. The ways in which they demonstrated physical affection made me fall in love with them because of the beautiful simplicity. They did small things to show affection, yet those little things spoke volumes more than if they'd been doing hot, sweaty, steamy ones.
I do intensely love reading hotter, more powerful, steamier, very detailed, very explicit scenes of intimacy; I will make that clear. They engage and satisfy many of my mental needs. With this book, I didn't need to have that, any of it, to feel satisfied. Sky and Knox slowly build their pairing in a short, but intense timeframe like many romance novels do. However, it's believable, plausible. They get to the heart of things when they're together. They're vulnerable, playful, confident yet still uncertain at times, and live in the moment because of the reasons they came to cross paths. They thoroughly enjoy their time together because they know it will end due to the trajectory they are on.
What do they do in response to that situation? What do they do to show they like each other? What do they do to show they care quite a bit about each other under those circumstances? What do they do about the end of the arc they are on? How do they face the inevitable that is coming? That is where this book grabbed me. The turns that the story arcs and plotlines take took me by surprise because they were indeed different than I've read before. Could I sometimes guess what might happen next? Yes. Was I always correct? Not at all. Was the story satisfying? Very much so.

“What a perfect love story. Cuteness and romance on its major expression. A so well developed story.
Meet our couple. Sky and Knox. The definition on a match made in heaven.
Sky Bennett received a last minute call to fill in a celebrity cruise for a week. With no expectation and knowing nothing she embarked herself on the trip.
Knox Hamilton, a rockstar. The ultimate man.
When they first meet a misunderstood happened but the sparkles were settled. They just simply connected, a so perfect change from friends to lovers in such a very short time. They were perfect for each other but soon they realized that being together is more than just loving the other person. What quickly started quickly ended.
Destiny works in such mysterious way that always brings true love together. There’s always a way to the happily ever after.
Funny, cute and romantic. Sky and Hamilton story was perfect. Their chemistry was marvelous. Their connection was so powerful. Their story reminded me what butterflies feel like.
I didn’t want to fall in love, not at all. But Knox made it so easy. He was simply perfect. His story with Sky was flawless but seeing him as a star was fascinating. He shared a special connection with his fans, the ultimate love toward them. What a fantastic character. He owns my heart.
This book is a definite must read! I absolutely loved it! When Sky gets called to fill in at the last minute on a week long celebrity cruise, she has no idea what is in store for her. Namely pop star Knox Hamilton. There first meeting is when he finds her in his room, she forgot her phone while she was cleaning his room and went back in to get it. He walks in and sure that she is a fan that has broken into his room, immediately calls security to have her removed. Her best friend Anders does nothing to dispel this. The tables turn when Knox enters her room while trying to escape a gaggle of girls. From there, the two begin an amazing friendship that turns to a little bit more. In the end though, Sky ends it knowing their hectic schedules will never let it work between them. Two months later finds them in the same airport and Knox with an offer of a job. She accepts and the two get to continue with the relationship that started to build on the ship. It ends with the two of them still together and still in love.

Sky worked on a cruise ship doing whatever needed to be done. She thought she had time off but at the last minute she gets a call to serve on a celebrity cruise. She barely makes it. Knox Hamilton is a huge star and agreed to take the cruise to help charity. He is the surprised when he finds Sky in his room and not realizing she is staff has her escorted out. The next day he is running from fans and ducks into a cabin with the door opens, it just happens to be Sky’s. Over the next week they keep running into each other, but is theirs future?
This is a wonderfully written contemporary romantic love story. The characters are amazing, with interesting and diverse personalities. The narrative helps to set the scenes and also serves to further flush out the characters. The dialogue is simply great. The author has woven a love story full of romance, obstacles and barriers. The story line is easy to read. The emotional drama is enhanced by the internal struggles the character overcome. I loved this story and think you will too, if you like well written contemporary love stories.

#spoilers I absolutely LOVED this story!!! Knox and Sky were perfect for each other! There was plenty of adventure, teasing, flirting, fun, humour and some good old fashioned love (in the end)... The characters were all very likeable - well, except for some of the obnoxious fans (are they REALLY that bad?!?!). The celebrities and cruise staff all dealt with them well I thought. Just proves how incredibly down-to-earth Knox was... not at all how most celebrities are portrayed in, and by the media. This story makes me wish I had've had an opportunity to work on a cruise ship when I was younger... the fun that could have been had! And, I am DEFINITELY going to spread the word about the Sardines hiding game! How much fun would that be?! I would absolutely recommend this story to anyone that is a romantic or who has wanderlust personality, like ME ;) I actually wouldn't mind a sequel... a revisit of this lovely couple down the track (hint-hint)... Thank you for the ARC, and I cannot wait to read more of Jennifer's work xo
Sky is an event coordinator for a special celebrity cruise where she helps direct not only the passengers to where they need to be, but also heads up the special events for the celebrities. Sky meets Knox a well-known rock star with a following of a gaggle of teen girls following him all over the ship. Knox and Sky just “click”. But the cruise is only one short week. When the end is near a simple goodbye is hard for them. But there is no hope for it. Her life is on a cruise ship. His life is on tour after tour. Does fate favor them? Or must they part for the final time? I found the characters to be wonderful and endearing. The story line was strong and compelling. It was a laugh out loud, shed a tear, fun, drama kind of book. In other words, it had everything I like in a good read. I could not put the book down until I got to the end of the story. It was worth the loss of sleep. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I voluntarily review an ARC of this book. Love is on the waters. There is no telling what you will find on a cruise ship. From baby to grown ups, average people to rock stars and famous people. Sky working on the cruise ship and Knox a pop star. One week on a ship will that be long enough for these two or will they have to part ways and try to forget the other one existed? There is so much to do on a cruise ship when you are working or not. Ms. Hartley brings the story to life as if you are experiencing the trip yourself. The chemistry between Sky and Knox will have you sitting up all night wanting to know who the story ends with the two. Will she lose her job behind being with Knox or will he take her away from the cruise line. That you will have to find out for yourself. This was a fun story to read. Great Job on bring the characters to life.

Good sweet read! Sky Bennett is an events coordinator for Bali cruise line. Knox Hamilton is an internationally renowned pop star, and the dream boyfriend of teenage girls the world over. When Sky’s boss decides to host a “celebrity experience” cruise for members of the public to interact with their favorite stars, their worlds will collide in ways neither of them ever expected. I received this book free to read in an exchange for a review. I felt it was good read despite a few typos and editor misses. The story line is good and believable. The characters are well developed and realistic. I didn't like the way the transition between the characters perspective happened at the beginning of the book. I felt I re-read half the story when this happened. However. the author did fix it before the end of the book and it made the reading flow better. All in all I would recommend this book for anyone to read.
I enjoyed this fun loving book! The characters were wonderful! This was a clean romance novel. Sky Bennett works for the Bali cruise line. She is supposed to be off this week but her supervisor called her in to work the "celebrity cruise." She meets Knox Hamilton, international pop star. Sky actually meets Knox when she is cleaning rooms and he mistakes her for a desperate fan trying to get to him. After learning who she really was, they started hanging out together in groups. They tried to be careful not to let people see them together because the crew wasn't supposed to get involved with the customers. But that didn't stop them from kissing. That is where they drew the line. Sky tried to be realistic because she knew that at the end of the cruise they both had different lives to lead. They were from different worlds and it would never work out, right?
This is the first book I have read by this author. I enjoyed her writing style and will read her books in the future. This is a sweet novel suitable for all ages. It starts off slow and at times I felt it was a bit mundane in setting the background of the plot. I felt that could have been compressed a bit more. That being said the plot was good and the main characters, Sky and Knox were real and relatable. They handled their attraction with class. There were strong sub characters that gave the book substance and were very likable. A very annoying villain and give Knox a pat on the back for his patience with her and her friends. Knox was the most well behaved Rockstar I have ever read about. Overall an enjoyable read with touches of light humor, sweet romance, a bit of angst and a satisfying Epilogue.

It’s just another cruise for Sky, who has been called in to work at the last minute. She has cabins to clean, complaints to log and water aerobics classes to teach. She doesn’t have time for a shipboard romance. She has a job or jobs to do.
Singer Knox doesn’t know what to expect from this cruise. He and a number of other celebrities, from fashion designers to race car drivers, have been given the opportunity to meet and interact with their fans. What he doesn’t expect is to find a woman in his room the first day. He doesn’t know that Sky is a ship’s employee because she hasn’t had time to change into a uniform before getting to work. But when he keeps running into her, he realizes she’s nothing like any woman he’s met before. And certainly nothing like some of his rabid fans. He’s intrigued.
Knox is a famous singer participating in a celebrity cruise. Sky is a last minute addition to the cruise ship crew. A chance meeting changes the course of both their lives. Very sweet story. I love the chemistry between Knox and Sky. Knox is a rockstar without the over inflated ego and Sky is a wise cracking free spirit. (I want to be her when I grow up) I liked seeing the behind the scenes of both the celebrity life and working on a cruise ship. I fell in love with the supporting characters which I hope means we will see more of them soon. I definitely recommend this book and I hope to see more from Jennifer soon!

Sky, a cruise line event coordinator/Jane of all trades, is caught off guard by Knox, a rising rock star, on a “Celebrity” cruise. As the story progresses a friendship develops, rules are bent while some are broken, and hard choices are to be made. In Perchance to Dream Jennifer Hartley explores the micro-community of cruise ship employees, a sweet romance between a ship employee and a ship guest, and the fallout of the hard choices that must be made when reality comes calling. This fun sweet romance read had me smiling throughout due to the antics of both crew and guests. And is suitable for readers of all ages.
I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Welcome to the celebrity cruise. This was such a wonderful story. Sky works on a cruise ship, that this time has plenty of celebrities on it. One of the rooms she has to clean the first day is Knox Hamilton's room. He is very famous and unfortunately he mistakes Sky for a fan and calls security. Great characters, funny story. The only minus I had with it are titled chapters: I really don't know why writers do that, and it has been a long time since I've read a book that was written in the 3rd person. 5 stars all the way.

Worthy of 10 stars. Absolutely fantastic. I cannot wait to read more by this author. I love this book. Knox Hamilton, a rockstar is on a cruise ship where he meets Sky. Sky is effervescent, funny, sincere, has never ending energy, and an absolute delight to be around. Everything you would expect from a worker on a cruise ship. She does not fall all over Knox because of his celebrity status and that’s what makes her so attractive to Knox. Their romance slowly creeps up on them as they spend more time together. This book is funny, romantic, exciting, wonderful in every way. It is so much fun to watch them fall for each other. I absolutely adored it?
