Omg I can’t wait to try some of these. Including making homemade ricotta and cream cheese. Lots of healthy, clean recipes. If I was buying cookbooks, I would buy this one.
Robert sure is lucky that I can't marry cheese, so I married him instead! But this cookbook does look pretty fabu! For instance, next time the hubby smokes a beautiful succulent steak for dinner, I know I'll whip out the recipe for Cheese Mushroom Skillet (which looks much better than it sounds) and serve that alongside of his perfectly smoked and seared steak. Can't wait! I'm also thrilled with the Creamy Roquefort Chicken Gnocchi, the Twice-Baked Butternut Squash with Gorgonzola, and the Brie Rosemary Potato Bake. Heavenly!
I can’t lie, I didn’t actually read this cookbook. But I’m sure it has lovely recipes and I may check it out one day!
I am using this as a replacement for the most disgusting, foul book about cheese I have ever read in my life. I genuinely did not want my friends on here to know that I read a book like that, so I decided on this lovely cookbook to be a stand in. As a cheese lover, this cookbook gets 5 stars automatically.
My sincerest apologies. I will be speaking to my therapist.
So I didn’t read this—though I do love cheese so it’s probably amazing. The book I actually read was so vile and horrific that I don’t want my friends on here knowing I put myself through something so traumatizing lol but I desperately needed to count it towards my yearly reading goal. So this delicious looking cookbook will be a stand-in for an extreme horror novella that made me question my life choices.
Highly recommend! The recipes in here are amazing, and they do hit on different food allergies (offer alternatives) which I can't say I've seen before in cookbook this specific before! Tons of variety, and the recipes I have tried so far are AMAZING.
Metaxa-Albu gives a nice introduction and her love of cheese. Broken down into the types of cheeses: fresh, semi-soft, soft, firm, etc. and substitution ideas if some aren't available to you. She includes many delicious sounding recipes but not many photos.
There were a few recipes that genuinely made the read worth it, but don’t sit here and say “Ooey, Gooey” and dedicate 1/2 the book to tossing feta or parmesan on avocado toast or a quinoa salad. I’m not here for that.
This was a fabulous cookbook! The pictures were stunning and the recipes weren’t overly complicated. Any cheese lover should have this in their cookbook collection!
