Immortal vampire operative Philandros “Landros” Mires has spent years withholding the truth from all around him. As an enemy from his past resurfaces, bringing with them a new threat, Landros knows everything he sacrificed to protect is in danger. He finds himself in a fight with evil and struggling to earn forgiveness, even if it means learning to forgive himself.

Clara is an absolute riot! She sparks off Landros and causes him such fits of debate! She could start a riot in an empty house! But she isn't mean or vicious or nasty, just very, very opinionated and stubborn!
Landros has had a millennium or two to reach his zen like calm. The only person who ruffles his feathers is his nieces best friend. Once Nicolette had moved out he should have visited less. But something keeps bring him back, like a deranged stalker. There is evil nearby and his warrior instincts tell him Clara is in danger.
Holy heck I love this series. Passion out the wahoo, tense storylines and a great comedy duo in Bill and Gus. Thar poor head has been through the wars. No spoilers but there is a BIG surprise coming from Gus!!!! I have no clue why one of Strikers cousins now speaks fluent Bill, it's actually quite scary! Landros maker is the scum of the universe! He has been determined to lead Landros to the Dark Side (i know, I know I'm mixing my genres LOL) but Landros is just as determined to resist!
Poor Wheeler. Doesn't get the girl, does get...well wait and see!
Wow! This book had me hooked! It had humor, heat, and danger all mixed together. Bill is up to his normal antics so pick your moments to drink something. Landros follows the Alpha male being clueless about his mate routine. It really was fun watching him fall. (snicker) Clare has been having fantasies about her best friends uncle. Oh boy... She also has a wicked sense of humor and an attitude that will make even the strongest alpha worry. Landros' maker is obsessive about Landros going to the dark side and is beyond mad that he continues on the side of good. He has hunted Landros and all he cares about for centuries. Too bad he picked Clare as his next target. I loved the way this book played out! Even though there was a bit of a cliffhanger at the end, Landros and Clare have their HEA.
Bound to Midnight by Mandy M. Roth is book 3 in the Crimson Ops Series. This is Landros and Clara's story. I have been waiting with baited breath for this paranormal romance and WOW, it totally was so good! There's tons of twists, turns, action/adventure, previous characters and red-hot romance that keeps you invested from beginning to end. Another hit in the Immortal Ops world.
Landros, the hot Greek & Nicolette’s uncle, finally gets his HEA. As with the other books in this series Gus and Bill steal the show. This installment answered a few questions and as with all good series reads brought up some new ones.
Claire is a victim of the consortium s experiments, rescued from one of their facilities as a child by Leandros. He arranged for her to be adopted by some close friends so he could stay involved in her life. Claire grew up to be best friends with Leandros 's ward (also a victim of the consortium) Nicolette and when the two for older they shared a house, but all that changed a few weeks ago when Nicolette met her after mate Garth and was then attacked by his evil twin Grim. Now Claire is alone in the house and feeling scared that the consortium may attack again. Learners finds himself drawn to Claire more and more, spending hours just watching her home, he is confused by the feelings he can feel growing inside himself for Claire. But it's not meant to be, a great evil shadows Leandros, the demon who made him into a vampire so long ago has made a point of destroying anybody close to him so he cannot afford to let his feelings for Claire grow and just maintain his guard for he knows Midas is close just waiting for an opportunity to strike. It's been over two thousand years but Midas will not rest until everyone Leandros loves is destroyed.
I have read every book in this series. Some more than once. This particular book I have already read twice. Mrs. Mandy has the ability to reach out and grab your attention within a few sentences. Once she has you, you find yourself unable to put the book down until you happen to look up and see the sky lightening with the dawn and The End on your Kindle.
I was hoping that Landros would be the next story released. I was so happy to see that his Mate (Clara) was the girl that has had the "hots" for him for ages. But I have to say that my favorite part of this particular book was how much Bill and Gus were included. I loved the tie back to another book in another leg in the Ops Series about finding the children in that lab and then finding out that Bill was one of those children. And then, AND THEN, to have him talk directly to Clara?!?! So freaking wonderful! I know that Mrs. Mandy will not leave us hanging on Dead-Wheel but I hope we gets un-stoned soon!
Landros has been a vampire since the Greek Spartans having been turned by an enemy soldier who has persecuted him through the centuries. Landros’s ‘niece’ Nicoletta is now happily mated, but he realizes that he still drawn to her old house and the roommate who still lives there.
Clara has known Nicoletta’s ‘uncle’ Landros was a vampire for years and she is also working for the ParaRegs. She also has a secret attraction to Landros. All behind and unknown to her best friend, until now.
Another new villain, one that’s been unknowingly around for a while. But he’s dead now. Yay!
I just love, love Bill and Gus. They make the story much more interesting as they run rings around the hunky males. They have got to be more than human. We got to see some of Gus’s backstory, but will we find out more?
Fave scenes: Bill meeting Mirza, Gus talking to Clara, Gus’s backstory and Landros’s kitchen.
For years Landros has been on the run trying to escape the brutality of his nemesis and maker. Until he finally decided to change things up with his niece. Landros created bonds and one in particular is with Claire. Claire can be a spitfire, but we also see a very human trait in her that made it easier as a reader to connect with her. She was dealing with some traumatic things along with her attraction with Landros. I very much enjoyed to see Bill and Gus. Gus is a oddball and the things he spouts are very hilarious. Things come to a head with Landros and his enemy. I enjoyed the villian in this story because he enjoyed playing the long games but in the end revenge is very sweet for one of them. I highly recommend the audiobook. D.C. Cole is a wonderful narrator. Some narrators just tell a story, but D.C. Cole breathes life to the characters. The variety of tones and inflections used for all of the characters are easy to follow along, and distinguish who is speaking.
For centuries Landos has fought the darkness in and around him. He must protect the one that calls to him in every way from the darkness that has has followed him. The darkness that stole everything he loves from him. The darkness that would do it all again. Clara has known about Landos' secret since she was ten. She has wanted him for so long and if she can help it, she's not going to let anyone hurt him. I was hoping these two would get together every since I read about them in Act of Brotherhood! Everyone should have a friend like Clara in their life. She's hilarious, strong and even though she has no filter, she's not ignorant. I can't say enough about Bill and Gus! Their mystery keeps unfolding. The villain Mirza is K and Z. Passionate characters along with laughter and intense action story line are all the ingredients that make this a great read.
This is one of my favorite series! Bound to Midnight was a great addition. Landros is thousands of years old, born in Athens, Greece he was sent to train in Sparta at 7 years old. He was turned into a vampire against his will by a demon named Mirza. Electing to fight the evil in the world sed Mirza bent on wiping out all of Landros's family, through the years it has become a game Mirza played with Landros but now the stakes are higher with Clara.
Clara was born and for the first part of her life lived in a lab, rescued by the immortal ops team and placed with living parents her life has been low key until she finds out she isn't human and the man that saved her is a vampire and her mate.
Another great Immortal Ops World story from Mandy Roth! Totally enjoy the close camaraderie all these characters share. You can read this story as a stand alone, but a richer experience is reading the other stories as well as the characters cross books. I am always delighted with the sense of humor infused throughout these stories that lighten the seriousness of the continued presence of the Corporation that hangs over every one's lives. So fun how Clara continues to try to get Landos to show her his fangs!! And I have always wanted a hunky Greek god carved in stone for myself. I found it very clever and a different mode of operandi that Mizra uses to gain access to those for which he has evil intentions. Ms. Roth always has a unique story telling technique you will appreciate. Enjoy!
Normally I would give a novel like Bound to Midnight four or five stars: it has a detailed storyline, interesting characters, great dialogue, etc. The one minus, for me, was this infusion of characters into the story and the author's assumption that somehow the reader would just automatically know who each person was and how they fit into the scene. I found myself confused as often as I was delighted by antics of Landros, Clara, Nicolette, Wheeler, Garth, Bill, Gus and company. Again, it was a very entertaining, if somewhat confusing novel (perhaps I need to read one of her older books first?) however I still recommend it.
In the continuing Psi/Ops Crimson Ops series, they’ve been hints before that vampire Landros had feelings for his nieces’ best friend Clara. So, now that Nicolette is mated to Garth and away, Landros has an urge to protect the friend Clara, not only because he is drawn to her, but also because his maker Mirza destroys everything he’s ever loved. It’s another fun instalment with insane weirdos Bill and Gus causing havoc, Wheeler running support and Scott’s Mac and Car causing trouble. Sexy, funny with a dash of intrigue, it was good fun
While all of the books in the Crimson Ops series are good, this one, by far, was the best. I enjoyed the characters and the writing. The story of Landros and Clara was funny, moving, and exciting. The last fight scene had me on the edge of my seat (at least I didn't fall out of my wheelchair!) Ill be interested to see what they can do for Wheeler. Not saying what happened because I don't want to spoil the surprise.
Ms. Roth is a good author, and if you like paranormal stories, give this book (and series) a chance.
Crimson Ops book 3. Landos and Clara find out that they are mates. They have been circling each other for some time. Absolutely love Clara who is smart, snarky and Landos equal in every way. This book was dramatic, funny, hella angsty and passionate. The action parts was fantastIc. It was great to see other characters from past books. Love love love Bill and Gus. The twins make me laugh till my sides hurt.
Landros has protected his niece Nicolette and her friend Clara since they were young. His niece married Garth but Clara is left unprotected. Suddenly Landros finds his feelings for Clara have shifted and he's become insanely protective. It takes him a while to realize she's his mate. He claims her but then has to fight his evil maker Mizra to keep her safe. There's elements of humor, drama and romance throughout the story. Excellent.
Jumping back into these books as they come out if like finding family again after being away for months. Landros who we have met many, many times before stands front and center with the girl, now woman he rescued many years ago. Clara is a sassy and bold and the perfect counterpart for Landros as they deal with a threat from the past.
This book has the right amount of drama mixed with laughs. The only thing it was missing was Stryker.
Super evil villain, super hot hero, and a young woman in love with her best friend's uncle. Did I mention they are all supernatural? The hero, Landros, is a vampire. The heroine, Clara, is a mix of many species, with a heavy dose of Fae. The villain is pure evil, and he is out to make Landros's life a living hell. Throw in my fav characters Bill and Gus, and this ended up being a great story with a great plot. Loved it.
The past has a way of catching up to you and Landros has been running from his a long time. We learn all about the Evil that is his sire but what Mirza planned many people step in to stop. Love trumps all and we get to see lots of past characters come to check on them. Its always great fun to check back in the the Ops guys and this book keeps the story going brilliantly.
Loved this book and couldn’t put it down. What to do with a stubborn Alpha Vampire who thinks he knows best....teach him how wrong he can be. Bill and Gus are up to their antics again and Mac and Car just have to help them out......or make worse. Leandros’ maker isn’t back to cause more problems especially now that Leandros has found his mate. Between mishaps, stubborn males, interfering friends and Bill this book kept me laughing and holding my breath in equal measure.
Landros a vampire who helped form PSI Ops is drawn to Clara who he rescued from the corporation when she was small. Clara hasd been living with Landros's niece till she found her mate. Landros has been watching Clara's house unsure why he is drawn there. Landros's old enemy is out to make him set his demon free by killing Clara. Can Lsndros save Clara? Could they be mates? I highly recommend this book and series.
This one wasn't my favorite in that it didn't give me all the feels or leave a smile in my face at the end. It was funny and thoroughly action-packed, but it was hard to take any portion of it as a serious contribution to the series. I'm glad for the mated pair, especially considering who they are, but I would have much rather liked to see better in-depth characters and more value added to the series.
While most immortal end up in an age gap romance this one has the feel. An ancient who raised his niece and helped raise her beat friend. When things change. This is a fun story that has Bill one of my favorite characters. After coming of age he cause seem to resist Claire’s pull and continues to watch over her. This is a sweet take on immortal ops. There’s still action and humor but I found it very endearing. The narrator does amazing and loved listening!
Landros & Clara are total opposites. To bad they’re mates & have known each other since she was a toddler. Awkward doesn’t even begin to cover it. Not to mention Landros maker is a total bag of dicks. And OMG, what’s going on with Wheeler. I can’t possibly make it till his book comes out!
As I reach each of these books they get better and better! The characters come to life as you read. With the added touch of Bill and Gus you will laugh until you cry! Thank you for letting me escape into the immortal ops world again. Can’t wait until the next one comes out!
Read the entire series and pre ordered the next book in immortal ops world series
Read the entire series and pre-ordered the next book in the immortal ops world series. I absolutely love this series. Be sure to pay attention to the book order because it bounces around between 3 different series. The immortal ops series PSI ops series and crimson ops series.
I love Landros & Clara! I am absolutely obsessed with the Ops, and their determination to take on all the evils of The Corporation. Hot paranormals and daring drama, with just enough sexy tension to make me blush. I absolutely love the balance of storytelling, steamy romance, and military action. I am very glad I happened upon this series.
What a ride of emotions with so many twists and turns in this story but love every moment of it from beginning to end? It has everything you want in a romance with action, evil villain, humor, love, and steamy hot romance with awesome characters that leaves you saying ahhh? Definitely a must buy and waiting anxiously for the next book in the series?
This was a fabulous read. I have always loved the immortal ops stories. They are full of laughter and excitement, making for a great read. If you haven't read any of the books you have to try one at least. They are all wonderful reads. You will get hooked on them quickly.
As with all of the immortal ops books, I couldn't put it down. Not only do you get the story of Landros & Clara, you also get to catch up with other immortal ops and even learn more about Gus. I can't wait for Wheelers book.
