It's basically 95% comedy; 1% mystery and 4% romance. If you are into that - you'll love this. I really liked some of the comedy but half way into it was a bit too much. I feel like this would've been better if it wasn't so comedy centered. Becoz of that I give it 3.5 and becoz I'm nice it's going to the 4 star side.
The Monster's Bride is more of a found-family than a true reverse harem and, as such, is chaotically wholesome. While the plot may seem out-there and random at times, it does all come together in a satisfactory, although almost too-convenient, way.
I absolutely love the art style and I laughed all the while reading this. It was interesting to see the incorporation of different monsters from a variety of mythologies and I appreciated the puns in their names (e.g. Chiang is a type of Chinese zombie, a jiangshi). Ultimately, however, the heart of the story lies in the characters and their backstories and how they grow to care and look out for one another. Haena's friend, Hyeonji, and Onisuke's assistant, Tama, were also excellent comedic relief. I do wish that some characters, like Wolfgang, had been more developed and, while I understand and accept why Haena ended up with , deep down I was still rooting for .
Overall, The Monster's Bride is an unexpectedly heartwarming comic about learning to accept yourself and others.
