This book explores the changes that a tadpole goes through during their life. The book starts as the tadpole is still in the egg and then follows the life of the tadpole until it becomes a frog. This touch and feel book allows for the reader to be able to see a texture and associate it with features of the tadpoles life. In the end the author uses a pop-up to explore how big the tadpole has gotten when he turned into a frog. This book allows the reader to learn about the life of a tadpole while learning about textures.

This book is for much younger children than my son (he's five). However, I used this with Harcourt science readers to discuss animal life cycles and animals that change shapes. It can also be used for children who are learning to recognize rhyming words.

Cute story for very young reader or bedtime story. Another book shared by my niece.
