#2019 #YearInBooks Book 55

The language is simple enough for children to understand while reading or being read to, and it is engaging as well. The adventure is interesting, kind of like a treasure hunt with one clue leading to another. In a way, one of the events even reflects Kali Yuga.

I like the illustrations in the book too. If they were a bit bigger, it could have doubled up as a colouring book for kids (it still could, but I think the lines are too small for colouring in, tbh). I also think that the naming might have been a little more consistent. But these are minor things.

The story is around 80 pages including illustrations and in large print. It's a one hour read for me, although children may take more time I guess. I wish it had been a longer book because it had a promising adventure in it, but it's a good debut nonetheless. Definitely worth a read. 4★.

A Princess's Quest For Knowledge by Soumya Torvi is a fiction based on mythological facts and is appropriate read for children.

The story is about Princess Vaishali who wants to gain knowledge in the era of Gurukul's where girl's were not allowed to study in gurukul as per the protocol.

She decided that no one can stop her from learning, so she decides to find the answer to her queries, and ends up being a squirrel.

And the real story starts from this point, as how she became squirrel and will she ever become a princess again?

The story is full of adventures of princess Vaishali, how she faces the situations after becoming a squirrel and how she saves her kingdom that is in danger, how she gains knowledge through Gurulkul.

You can find out by finishing this book which is just one hour read.

Coming to the plot, it is structured beautifully with strong characters and knowledgeable content about the mythology facts, and it is specially presented in a manner that children can read and understand the whole facts and story, the narration is smooth and pacy and is suitable for every reader from kids to adults.

Characters are very strongly built, especially of princess Vaishali as the whole story revolves around her character, she is shown as a brave girl who has a strong desire to gain knowledge and can face any hurdle with strong will power, her brother Bhuvan also has a prominent role to play as he supports her sister in the difficult of situations. All other characters are good and increases the curiosity in the story.

The book has a suitable title, with quite an attractive cover which can easily grab attention of kids as well as adult readers who love reading children stories, the illustrations along with the chapters are also very helpful for kids to create an imagination of the story.

Author has immense potential to be a great writer for children fictions, as her imagination power is of great capacity which can be found in this book.

Overall i highly recommend this book, as it's a short and quick read which will hardly take 1 hour and also help you relive the moments of childhood and the era of storytelling by our grandparents and then you can recite this story to your kids or little siblings.

🌼I love when it comes to children's book and I am so happy to add this book to my collection. This is a story of a small princess, 'Princess Vaishali' who sets on an adventure to find secret and find a way to gain the knowledge which was prohibited. This was such a lovely short read but more of all it was so impactful.
.
It started with a normal pace and it was really descriptive, I am a person who reads many children's books but this one was really well sorted in terms of what it wanted to portray/convey to the readers. It's not at a hard or a bulky read, a short simple fairy tale filled with excitement and anticipation, this book is sure to bring all the bright childhood memories back. I will definitely recommend it to everyone, even adults.

Who else still loves to read books meant for Children?
If you do, then today's book review will surely interests you.
I loved reading this book. Although it is meant for kids, but still it has a strong story line and a message. It is a story about princess Vaishali, who is hungry for knowledge and exposure. Since she was denied for the admission in the gurukul, she herself goes for a personal quest for learning and knowledge and end up turning herself into a squirrel. Will she ever be back as a princess again? What all adventures she would face during this journey...
Starting with the cover, it is super cute as well as relevant.

The writing and narration is simple and smooth, perfect for kids. Language used is easy. It is a great book to introduce kids to mythology fictions. On page X, author explains all the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu known as 'Dashaavataar'. I think it is a nice book for kids. It is a quick read. Kids will find the book engaging ans simple.

A princesse's quest for knowledge by soumya torvi is a fairytale for your kids that shall precisely yet fantastically teach them to value their education and freedom.

This story revolves around the life of this princess who loves studies and wishes to go to the gurukul but as the tradition says, girls aren't allowed to be educated she is not permitted to go there. Her quest for knowledge leads her to prayers to the almighty who then challenge her to complete her puzzle and grant her wish. Will she be able to? Pick this book up to find out.

A Princess's Quest of Knowledge
By Soumya Torvi.

First of all, I would like to thank sma review for this opportunity and for making me relive my childhood days.

The story of this book is perfect for children, as the language of this book is extremely simple and easy.

In todays era children are all intrigued by mobiles and forget everything as technologies has taken over their minds. We really need books like these to give a knowledge about Indian mythology.

Though this book is a mixture of mythology and a story, it will make it even more interesting for children to read or you can read for them.

I have a nephew though, he is small and I still read him this story.

The author has done amazing job by writing this story. She did well by explaining the Dashavtaar of Lord Vishnu.

The cover of the book is not just interesting, but really cute though. The author gave a very strong message through this book.

P.S. In today's era, we need books like these for children to keep them hooked, not just with books but with indian mythology as well.

The cover of the book is simple and the title perfectly matches the storyline. The theme of the book is perfect for the children and the narration is very smooth. The writing style is simple but at times certain words may make it difficult for the kids to understand the meaning. The book is a perfect mix of mythology and adventure. The author has made an effort to explain the avatars of Vishnu and other words mythological words which is a plus point. The message given in the book is that of a princess's yearn for knowledge and her efforts to fulfill that yearn which should leave a positive impact on a kid's mind regarding education. In short, it's a perfect quick read for a kid with simple language and a good plot.
