All I Want #5

Stay with Me

Rate this book
Wyatt
We were high school sweethearts until she left without a backward glance. Now Lucy Perry is back... more beautiful than ever. I wish I could stay angry with her but its nearly as impossible as resisting her.

She wants a fling but I want forever.

I’ll take her on a trip down memory lane—the drive-in movie theater, picnics on the beach, even a boat ride to our favorite spot. She’s going to fall back in love with this town and with me. There’s no way she can walk away from me twice.

Lucy
I never thought I’d be back in my hometown, but here I am living with my parents. I keep telling myself it’s only temporary but the hardest part is facing everyone I left behind—including Wyatt Carter.

He might not have been the reason I left, but he‘s the reason I never came back.

Wyatt is no longer the easy-going predictable guy I fell for. An officer of the Department of Natural Resources, he's an intriguing mix of cocky and bossy, which is almost as sexy as the way he fills out his uniform. I couldn’t resist him then, and I don’t want to now. I want to explore our chemistry but he wants a commitment—the one thing I’ve never been able to give him.

He thinks two blue lines change everything... but he’s wrong.

4 Stars!

Lea Coll is pretty new to me, having only read one other book by her before and just like the first one, I really enjoyed this all-new romance and especially loved her new swoony hero, Wyatt!

Stay With Me was a sexy, sweet, safe, and slightly angsty second chance, surprise baby romance that had me all in my feels from the very beginning and left me on the sidelines the. whole. book. rooting for our heroine to get her noggin on straight (she was so swishy washy in soooo many moments mannnn!). This book took me on a fast-paced, up and down roller coaster of emotions with many highs and lows and by the time it was over, I had a huge smile on my face because it was sooo worth it.

WYATT- one of the best, sweetest, wholesome, most genuine heroes I've come across in a long while y'all. Just wait until you meet him. 😋😍🤤

This book was really good and I totally plan to check out her backlist.

I definitely recommend this book.

I was given this as an arc for my honest review

I could have given or taken this book. I loved the main male character, Wyatt. He is what made me give this book a 3-star rating. As for Lucy the female main character, she just was irritating. She seamed to project everyone’s negativity onto to herself and wouldn’t allow herself to be happy. Here is a strong loyal man willing to do anything to help, protect, honor and love her and she just throws it all away.

She was such a negative Nancy and a Debbie Downer for me. She was also selfish and didn’t think about anything but how is would look on her and what she wanted. Not how others would be affected and wanted.

I started skimming over her parts since they were repetitive…would he leave after the baby…will I her a new job away from Wyatt (making it hard for him to be in his wanted child’s life)…how would people view me after they know I’m pregnant…my parents wont be supportive (even though dad apologized to her, seams she like to hold grudges)…sigh…eye roll.

Lucy leaves her high school love, Wyatt to go off to college and live her dream job and dream life all while leaving her high school love. When she is fired from her job and running out of money, she comes back to her hometown where she so desperately wanted to get away from.

What Lucy is so immature to realize is that she still is in love with Wyatt and it wasn’t really the town that made her unhappy. Instead of looking at the brighter side of life, she continues to ignore the best thing that is right in front of her. Wyatt does everything he can to keep the love of his life and child home with him.

After graduating Lucy couldn’t leave town fast enough even if that meant leaving her high school Wyatt behind as well. Years later she finds herself at a crossroads and returns to her hometown to regroup as she decides what direction her future would hold.

Wyatt is a man that any woman be lucky to have in their life. He was devastated when Lucy left and he has never been able to truly leave her in the past so when she shows up his head tells him he should be upset but his heart wants the life he knows that they could have together.

The chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever but her plans for the future are very different from his. Will he be able to convince her that the only place she belongs is next to him and they can achieve their dreams together?

Wyatt was exactly what Lucy needed as he was determined to show her that true happiness comes from the people in your life.

I fell in love with Lea Coll and her small town romance series with the release of her last book Trust in Me. I want to give a huge thank you to Wildfire Marketing Solutions for continuing to feed my Lea Coll addiction and allowing me to participate in these blog tours. I love that these books can be read as a stand alone. Granted some of the characters cross over but you don’t need to know their background to understand the current book you are reading.

Lucy and Wyatt’s story was decent. Wyatt is so easy to love but I just couldn’t get on board with Lucy. She was not a likable character for most of the book. She was just very selfish and I’m not used to the female leads in romance books being like that. I felt some of the book was a bit repetitive with her internal arguments and struggles. I guess I just miss Stella 🤷

🌟🌟🌟💫 (3.75 out of 5) I really liked towards the end of the book where Lucy finally grew up. It was interesting to see how that all came together. This book was a bit more heavy on the sex scenes and I feel that takes away from the story telling at times. It was a cute second chance, surprise pregnancy romance.

“Was that the issue? She made things worse, not better, for me. It was always about what she wanted. What her dreams were. How her home was unbearable. How she had to get away from here. How she only felt safe with me. But in the end that wasn’t enough. I wasn’t enough.”

Lucy is back in her hometown for her brother's engagement party. But her stay could be extended, since she lost her job and cannot afford to pay the rent. Being back after so many years is not easy, especially because she left and never looked back. Her dreams and goals have always been too high for the small town. And besides all of this being messing with her, meeting the ex who she left behind will be the greatest torture of all.
Wyatt was never able to forget Lucy or understand why she left and erased him out of her life. Seeing her again reopened old wounds, as well as bringing out the love he still has for her.
Two very different people. She wants the busy city life, the famous job, long hours at the office. He wants tranquility, a good job and the quietness of the small town. Lucy and Wyatt are opposites that attract. And the two positive lines in the pregnancy test will further disrupt this already precarious relationship.
What to do now? Abandon her dreams? Stay in the city she never fit in? Give the guy who she never forgot a chance? Lucy has a tough decision ahead of her.
I loved Wyatt. He is upright, hardworking, centered, understandable and very passionate. Lucy aroused mixed feelings. I admire her perseverance and her dreams, but she is selfish for most of the plot. The feelings of others are always in the background for her, only her will matters.
Focusing on the romance between them and Wyatt's plan to remember the past, the book has a bit of drama, but nothing that weighs the plot.
A novel about second chances, about finding out what really matters and learning that sometimes what you thought you wanted may not be right for you.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is my first book by this author and definitely will not be my last. I believe this is the 5th book of the series but can be read as a standalone.
Wyatt and Lucy were high school sweethearts but before leaving to go to college she shattered his heart and left him behind. Wyatt never expected to see her again but now that she's here he's going to do everything he can to show her what she's missing from their small town.
Lucy just lost her job and her apartment. So she moved home to her parents. It's temporary. Just until she finds another job. She can't handle this small town living.
I really enjoyed this book and I'm going to go back and read some more of this series.

A small town, second chance romance with all the feels! I've been anxiously awaiting this book as I've read all the others in this series. I couldn't wait to read about Wyatt and Lucy. The wait was worth it - I absolutely loved this book!

Lucy is lost and confused. She returns home after losing her job in the big city. She isn't quite sure what her next steps will be but she knows she can’t follow her dreams in her hometown – her visit is temporary. But the moment she sees Wyatt, memories begin flooding back into her mind. She knows she hurt him all those years ago but she still feels an unmistakable desire to be close to him.

Wyatt is strong, sexy, and sweet. But he is not happy to see Lucy again after all of these years. He is still hurt that she left him all those years ago and isn't sure that he can handle having her back in town. He knows that he still cares for her but can he get over all of his hurt?

As with any small town, Wyatt and Lucy cannot avoid each other. The heat between them is undeniable. This book was a quick, fun read. Once I started, I could not put it down. I loved all of the interactions between Wyatt and Lucy. Their love is captivating.

Every book in this series gets better and better. I love all of the characters and their stories. Ms. Coll has done it again with this amazing book!

Sweet and sexy, small-town romance at it's best:
Another winner by this talented author. It was lovely being in Chestertown again and having some of the gang from the previous books make an appearance, however the story line has moved beyond the original core group of friends. This is the story of Jack's sister Lucy and his buddy Wyatt. There was just the right amount of small town romance, drama and angst.
Wyatt was so sweet how he wooed Lucy and tried to convince her to give them another chance. Lucy is fiercely independent and confused about her own identity and what defines her as a person. She has to learn to open herself up to both love and new dreams and I liked exploring her personal journey even if she frustrated me at times. This book contains a challenge for all of us to evaluate our priorities and determine what truly is of value and worth in our lives.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

This was a brand new author to me and I wasn't sure what to expect. That being said, I really enjoyed reading this book. Lucy and Wyatt were high school sweethearts and broke up when Lucy left for college. Lucy's need for financial indepence drove her and when she lost her job and apartment, she ended up coming back home to live with her parents. While she was planning her brother's wedding, she and Wyatt are forced to be around each other. Things happen and she is faced with hard decisions. While some may feel that Lucy was selfish and immature, I felt she was honest and upfront about what she wanted. She was headstrong and rash at times but you couldn't doubt her feelings. I really enjoyed reading their story.

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️

This is the first book by Lea Coll that I have read and I really enjoyed it! It's a quick, fun, and sweet second chance romance. Lucy and Wyatt were meant to be together but just not their first go round. She couldn't get out of her small town fast enough after graduation and he wanted to stay. She ends up back home after losing her job and her apartment. I liked watching Lucy's view of her hometown transform the more she's there and see what she missed out on moving away. Wyatt still harbor the hurt from when Lucy left but he can't deny the feelings are still there. You will have all the feels watching them fall in love again.

That’s a tricky one for me. I loved so many parts of this book, so many, they were very relatable for me and there were parts, specially the middle part that I wanted to smash Lucy’s head somewhere.

Telling the story about Lucy and Wyatt was so beautiful. They were high school sweethearts and then she left the small town, Wyatt and her family to go live her dream in the big city and being independent and self-reliant. And hey, I’m 90% behind that, you are young, free and facing a lot of possible opportunities. The other 10% was that they could have handled the break up better, but they were immature and ok, life goes on.

7 years later she is back to hometown, without a job (she was fired) and her house, back living with her parents. She was feeling the residual rejection from being fired and panic at not finding a new job yet, and that my friends I could relate so much that I actually cried, I AM living this nightmare and I could understand her situation so much that it hurts.

But then she got pregnant and Lucy went off the rails. Her actions were ridiculous, from thinking only about herself (not even the baby) to doubt Wyatt and his intentions even though he was upfront with her all the time. You know what? Sutton (Wyatt’s twin) was right she was too selfish and Lucy needed to hear that!

What I was happy towards the end was that she was the one who left AGAIN, did everything wrong, like she said “I’d chosen to do this alone” however she learned the hard way and went on a road of redemption. Which I really enjoy reading it.

Wyatt was perfect at all times, I don’t have a single fault to talk about him, he was all in and just wanted to be respected and to be considered. He deserves a medal!

The epilogue and the bonus scene were both perfect I was elated. Congratulations to the author for making me feel all these emotions, from understand, to wanting to throw my Kindle on the wall, to love!

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I am glad that I took a chance on her. It was a great storyline from beginning to end. It was enjoyable, non-stopping touching moment, great characters. Lucy and Wyatt were together for a little while before she left for what she believed would be a better future. Wyatt was destroyed when she left. Lucy comes back to town for her brother's wedding and for other reasons. Her and Wyatt have to work together on wedding stuff. But Wyatt wants more. One day at the lake ends up changing both of their lives. Will it be enough to keep Lucy in town and with Wyatt? This was a great storyline. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Lucy and Wyatt. I loved how these two work on things. Lea gained a fan and I cant wait to read more from her.

Lucy and Wyatt were amazing. I loved this story. I love the evolution of there love.

Lucy is looking for herself again. She's lost her way when she lost her job. Now she had to go back home. She's not sure what the future holds for her, but seeing Wyatt, wasn't on that list.

Wyatt is everything I could have wanted in a strong, kind character. I loved how much he loved Lucy, but sometimes the hurt is just too much. With Lucy back in town, Wyatt has to figure out if he can move on past the hurt or if everything they once had is over.

These two are bound to find their way into each other lives again, even if they don't want too. I loved getting lost in this story. I loved the words. I loved the characters. I loved getting lost in this book.

Absolutely loved this book! I loved Wyatt and Lucy from the very beginning. The storyline was captivating and felt very real, Wyatt is the sweetest guy who loves hard. The writer didn’t keep you in annoying suspense for half the book or drag certain parts out that I find irritating in other books. Was a lovely read without any bad memories, tragic events or abused pasts. I was easy going with some great steamy parts and a HEA. I’m definitely going to download the rest from this series and read them too as I loved not just the Wyatt and Lucy but their group of family and friends too so can’t wait to read their own stories. I read this book as an ARC.

A spectacular second chance romance. As things unfolded I wished so hard for a HEA for these two. Quite a few times I wanted to throw my kindle in frustration. This author did not make anything easy for this couple.

Lucy, dug her heels in and stood her ground. Wyatt, though pained by their past, was the voice of reason in all this. This couple lit up the pages when together. The steam was off the charts. They fought as just as hard as they loved.

My very first read by this author and I am not disappointed. I truly enjoyed reading Lucy and Wyatt's journey. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author!

It’s a fast, sweet, easy read and I loved both Wyatt and Lucy. Second chance, small town is not my favourite trope but it was a good change.

I could easily understand the choices Lucy made even if I didn’t agree with all of them. It’s not easy when you think you have to choose between love and fulfilling your dreams.

Wyatt is a perfect book boyfriend. Strong, sexy and very caring. He was a great guy and I loved the way he supported his girl. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely read the rest of the books in this series.

Oh gosh, Wyatt is everything and I was upset at Lucy for giving him up and still trying to resist him. But the hearts knows what it wants and Wyatt and Lucy are meant to be. The angst in this had me on edge because I kept pushing for Lucy to admit what she wanted the entire time. Their connection is undeniable and sweet and passionate. I couldn't put this down.

This was one of the sweetest second-chance romances I've picked up in a long while. Wyatt was a breath of good-to-the-core fresh air, and while I wanted to shake Lucy a few times, she was very relatable. You can't help but want the HEA for this pair!

The small town vibe and group of friends / family around this couple is fantastic and so comfortable.

Recommend this sweet & steamy read!

I couldn’t put this book down. I fell in love with Wyatt and Lucy.

Wyatt and Lucy dated in high school. She broke things off with him when she went off to college to get away from her small town. Now after getting fired and has no place she is back home. Wyatt tried to forget Lucy but can’t now that she is back he will do everything to make her fall in love with him again.

It is very hard to find your true love in high school but Lucy and Wyatt need. Now they just need to remember it all.

I received the ARC for this book for my honest review.

This second chance romance story is perfection. I devoured this book in just a couple of days, it is so good. Lucy and Wyatt are absolutely adorable. This story was filled with so many heartwarming moments and steamy scenes. I did find myself yelling at Lucy when she makes her decision.. you'll have to read the book to know what I'm talking about.

Lucy has an image of how her life should be but it all turns around after being fired from her job. Returning home she never considered running into her ex, Wyatt. Now that they are in charge of planning Jack and Samantha's bachelor and bachelorette party, they are spending more time together. Their connection to each other is so intense that it's hard to stay away from one another. A surprise neither of them were expecting happens, bringing them closer than they planned. Decisions need to be made and plans for the future need to be discussed. And I love what they decided on doing.

The ending and the bonus epilogue left me feeling so happy and content. I think Lea Coll did an excellent job with Lucy and Wyatt's story and I hope you give them a try.

I have been waiting for Wyatt and Lucy’s story to come out since reading Trust In Me. I have say it’s worth the wait. I love their crazy story of love, lost and finding ever after with each other. I love how there are both goal oriented, and stubborn alike too. Most of all I love how Lucy listens to everyone , but is determine to experience life. Above all I love Wyatt for his patience and understanding of Lucy inside out.
