Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

I read Heavy Metal Magazine and I understand that some of the stories are duds and some are pretty good. It can be a toss up. This book had some good like Micro Penis Camp and Blue Haiku were both funny and actually made me laugh out loud, but everything else was a bit of a dud. There was something interesting going on with the Watchmen spoof, but I felt that it was so layers in inside jokes that only hardcore Alan Moore fans would get. The history article for the satire also never was completed. There is stories in here that just right in the middle of previous works and some that are just not completed... which having uncompleted works is fine, but from what I understand about the magazine, they were not really planning on making another one. Like this was a project. I feel like this was sloppily put together.
