Would you recognize the flutter of true love if it stood right in front of you?
What if it disappeared with no explanation... until thirty years later? As a young lawyer, Frank Tarallo had just landed a job at a big law firm in Manhattan. He and long-time girlfriend Lizzy Moretti had been living together in an uptown apartment, much to the disapproval of her nosy Catholic family. Her dream of becoming a college professor was materializing before her, and he was on track to make partner in a few years. Life was good. Until Frank met Sophia Rossi. Until Lizzie got pregnant. Thirty years later, a premonition of Frank's untimely death sent him into overdrive. He knew he had little time left to make things right. He had to find his one true love, even if it cost him his marriage, his family, or his life. But would she be willing to give him a second chance?
“Gina DeNicola has written a short book that will touch your heart. “Frank” is about love. Different kinds of love at different times in life, but all love.-Green Gables Book Reviews
Frank is a good man. He is an honorable man.
He is starting his job as a lawyer, starting to think about getting engaged to his live-in girlfriend and to let his life begin. Whoever would have thought stopping at a bakery would change his life?
Lizzie is waiting for her big chance! She’s been waiting for her career to take off, it’s finally her time to shine. She knows her family isn’t happy with her about living with Frank, but it’s what she wants. She’s proud of herself for finally standing up to her brothers.
Life doesn’t always go the way we think it will. Can something that happened thirty years ago alter the paths we take?
I love the way this book is written through time and I’m struggling not to tell you everything that happens in it!
“Frank” is a love story, but a story of pain. A story of tears, and how fear can make you do things you may not expect. A story of honor, a story of sadness, a story of the perfect place at the perfect time. A story of family, two searching people, and love.
Thank you, Author Gina DeNicola, for sending me your book!

Such a powerful, well-written book that'll make you laugh, cry, and root for love. For our hero, Frank. A man who was torn being doing the right thing for his family and following his heart. Through Gina's wonderful storytelling we see the story unfold through Frank and other characters that show the reader the many different paths life can take us on. And how, if we're lucky, we just might get a second chance. Frank is a story of love, hope, and redemption. Highly recommend.
Big thanks to Gina for sending me a copy to review. I absolutely loved this book and her writing.
A charming and relatable story! Family, drama, a little suspense, and a lot of love, support and hope. This is wonderful novel with characters you will fall in love. You not regret reading this wonderful book and I can’t wait for more stories from Gina!
I absolutely loved this book. Once you start reading, you won’t want to put it down. The author has a way of writing that you are so engrossed with the story. It was very touching and emotional. Make sure you have Kleenex! Waiting for another book from this great author.
A truly heartbreaking love story! Gina’s beautiful descriptions consume you like a hug, and you can’t put this book down until you finish. Such vividly painted portraits of characters, and you can just smell the mouthwatering croissants!!! Don’t miss this read!
Great Read. Definitely heartbreaking. Brace yourself. However, this is the first read where I didn't root for the main character. Yes, Frank was stuck in a rock and a hard place, but I felt Lizzy was faced with bigger struggles. I felt more sympathetic towards her.
I could not put this book down! It is beautifully written in detail that paints the scene impeccably. The story left me with a sense of hope and will definitely tug on your heartstrings.
Frank is a wonderful story about one man’s struggle to do what he believes is right, or follow his heart. This story is beautifully written and truly involves the reader in the emotions of the characters. What would you do? Follow what you believe would make you happy? Or, do what’s expected of you because opinion says it’s the right thing to do? Do we get second chances?
Gina DeNicola wrapped so many emotions in her story about Frank. The struggles Frank goes through we either have heard about or experienced ourselves. Though the book is a fast read, I won’t say it’s an easy read. Have tissues handy, you are going to need them with this story.
I loved the story of Frank. I read it in just a couple of hours. I definitely cried when reading certain portions of the book. Some happy tears and some sad tears. I definitely recommend this book!
Gina has a way of painting a clear and simple picture with Frank. Everyone has either had this feeling or is scared of someday having this feeling. Be warned that spontaneous crying may occur while reading so choose your reading location wisely!
