This was interesting. I kind of have a big bias against self published authors, but he did his research and has a great story to tell. There are certainly places that feel a bit overwritten and could have used a tighter edit but that in no way takes away from this fascinating story placed in excellent historical context. I don't think you have to be an aviation nut to find this interesting.
