Murder and mayhem. Revenge and romance. Terror Isla, Book #5 in the Isla Mujeres Mystery series is an absolutely gripping whodunit full of twists and turns. Isla Mujeres, a tiny island paradise in the Caribbean Sea, is rocked by a power struggle between a Mexican cartel and a Romanian gang as they battle for control of the illegitimate ATM skimming. Big changes are coming for Carlos and Yasmin, while Jessica Sanderson fends off an angry lover from her past. Sparky, Jessica’s stocky beach mutt is once again at the centre of another Sparky-situation. “I want a super-hero cape. A red one,” Diego Avalos said. "I am feeling very underappreciated.” “In Jessica’s opinion, Sparky is the super-hero with the red cape. We’re just his minions doing his bidding,” Pedro rejoined. “I’ll pick you up in ten minutes.” Who’s going to save who? Join the adventure to find out.

Death in the Vineyard Mysteries; love, lust, and loot in the affluent Okanagan wine region
Isla Mujeres Mysteries; sun, sand, and tequila with a twist of murder and a dash of revenge.
The quirky cast of characters, plus Sparky the multi-breed rescue pooch, scramble to solve the mysteries and catch the bad guys.
Sparky is an island beach-mutt who invited himself into our lives in 2013. He walked into our house one evening at dinner time, and never left. He has curly terrier fur covering pink and black polka-dotted skin and long silky Spaniel ears. His front paws are larger than his back ones and his sense of smell is extraordinary.
I have a very diverse, some might say eccentric, work history that frequently sneaks into the backstory of my main characters. I have been a bank clerk, antique store owner, ambulance attendant, volunteer firefighter, supervisor of a cutting-edge transit control center, partner in a Canadian micro-brewery, partner in an awarding winning bed and breakfast, and a hotel manager.
Another spine tingling thriller from Lynda Lock! Once again Yasmin and Jessica are involved in a dangerous escapade and the jefe of a Cancun drug cartel is in the middle of it. I also enjoyed the references to all things Isla and the descriptions of very recent actual events that occurred on the island.
Now that I have adopted a dog from Isla Animals, I feel even more affection for Sparky, who Jessica adopted on Isla as well.
I recommend this book to all mystery lovers, especially those who know and love Isla Mujeres.
Good morning from hot and sunny Isla Mujeres. I just recently published Terror Isla #5 of the Isla Mujeres Mystery series. It is an absolutely gripping whodunit full of twists and turns. Murder and mayhem. Revenge and romance.

I really enjoyed this read of 5 novels written by Lynda Lock. Twists and turns in this book Terror Isla had me running late for work just to get to the next chapter...! I’m looking forward to the next in the series, and can’t wait to meet Miguel, Jessica’s newest love interest!!! Hopefully Sparky loves him!
The Isla Mujeres Mystery Series is always fun. The author gets better with each book, and I am sorry I only have one more to go. Anyone who has spent time on the island will enjoy all of Ms. Lock's books, as she brings Isla alive, its places and its people, and its laid back approach to life. I am now onto the sixth and last of the series. Lynda has moved back to Canada, and I am sure the books she is now writing from there are equally good. I, however, shall miss both her presence, and her writing, here on Isla Mujeres.
I’m heading back to Isla Mujeres in a few days, so to get me even more excited for my return back, I finally read Lynda’s Isla Mujeres Mystery Series #5, Terror Isla. Once again, Lynda pulls you back to the island we “Islaholics” love and can’t wait to return to, by perfectly describing the beauty and fun of the island, while creating a “can’t put the book down” suspense story. And the friendship between the main characters, Jessica, Yasmin, Carlos, Diego, Pedro & of course, Sparky (the Wonder Dog!) are #friendshipgoals! Looking forward to #6 😊
The story was so entertaining, as usual, and I couldn’t put it down. I love all the Isla references and was so happy to hear the Limon and Sergio shout out!! Great job, Lynda and Sparky! Hope the next one will involve Boo!
