Chad Barrett revisits the story told in Luke 2:8-14 through the eyes of one of the shepherds. He infuses it with all of the requisite glory, majesty, wonder, reverence, and humility it deserves. Those who discover this beautiful little book will likely start a new tradition — reading it aloud to all who gather to celebrate the miracle of Christmas Eve.

There will be few dry eyes and no one left unmoved.

At a short 27 pages, Chad gives us a glimpse into what the shepherds might have experienced on that first Christmas night. The event was likely much more intense than our minds tend to always picture. After all, God's son had just arrived on earth. Chad's writing will leave you pondering that first Christmas night in a fresh new way. A good book to read during Advent each year.
