In this epic culmination of the series, Andar must venture deep into the ever growing rift in hopes of destroying it as the rest of his allies take on the massive beast that guards it. But when a problem forces Andar to deviate from the plan, his allies are left wondering what they must do now. Andar and his allies will have to overcome their most challenging obstacles yet as they face the people who were responsible for creating this rift in the first place. They will have to act quickly and courageously to take back everything that was lost, even at the risk of losing the people they love.Andar must grow to become a true Ascendant if he is to have any chance of not only surviving but changing the fate of Aathon for good. Risks will be taken, battles will be waged, and sacrifices must be made. The time for surrender is over.
This was too clean, too neat, too cheap. The third book started down this direction, and this closing chapter of the series clinched it. Sadly the ending was so much so a letdown that is sours my impression of the series as a whole.
I don't se why these books gets such high rating. The lack of any any smart plot twists made everything feel generic, cheap and predictable. I mean, This series started out great describing the struggle of our protagonists as the lowest of the lowest in a broken corrupt system. But at the end I really struggled to even finish this final book.
I did not like how everyone is a the o' master of deduction, in every book. That did not feel believable at all, even though they know each other well. I did not like the magic system. The system pretty much is used to bind arms and/or legs together or summon a pet. All in all one of the most boring magical systems I've read about.
The conclusion was predictable, rushed and welcomed.
This series is sadly 3 books too long. I’m a fan of alternative magic systems but only when they actually make sense. It all ends up being completely irrelevant and illogical without building further on anything from the two first books.
This series introduced me to BT narro. This series made me realize that there are so many other great works by smaller authors if you take the time to look. I had stumbled upon this series by looking at what books were available on audible plus. The first three were fantastic so I bought the fourth one. Sadly I have to give this finale 4 stars. While I enjoyed the ending, and I'm glad Andar was able to find love. I feel like this book was rushed, or even a fifth book could have been written. The final battle lasted a chapter and a half, and Leo and Rygens love story wasn't finished up. A 5th book could've started with the beginning of a long battle, followed by a bit of an after story of Darren's rule, and the main characters lives. Other than that I'm glad I found this author and will read more of his books.

A satisfying conclusion to an excellent series! I couldn’t be happier with this last book. The plot was unexpected, fast paced, and enjoyable. The characters all grew as people and we got to hear from all of our favorite perspectives. Andar in particular really shined in this book, and without giving spoilers away I’ll just say he’s a real badass! I absolutely recommend you check out this series if you love complex magic systems, romance, war, etc. Narro’s other series are excellent choices as well, although I would say this series is geared to a slightly younger audience (YA more than YA+). However, if you love the things I’ve mentioned, you’ll definitely love this series! I’m sorry to see it end but it was absolutely worth the read!
The Stalwart Link series is one of the most amazing book series I have ever read. There are great action scenes, and a wonderful magic system. I have zero complaints about the writing, the stories, or the characters. The only thing is, the first book seems to me to focus mainly on the younger brother Leo, but by the time you get to the final book it seems to mostly follow the older brother. This is by no means a complaint, I guess being a younger brother myself I half hoped the younger brother, Leo would be more heroic or at least stronger than Andar, the older brother. All in all a wonderful series that I read in 5 days, I just couldn't put it down.
The pacing was fairly good. The story was engaging. It did feel like there was some aspects left unexplored that had good potential like the link btw brothers.
One part of the writing in the series that did annoy me was the constant rehashing or retelling. It seemed as though every progression was preceded by a recap. Maybe just my personal preference not to have it since I read all 4 books in sequence, and maybe others who read them with gaps btw would appreciate them more.
Good read! Action filled wirh realistic descriptions and outcomes. Of course the heros of the book remained. I like that they all survived, why read sad stories as the world today has lots of it we deal with each day. Enjoy it when you read it as well..
The story was moving at a reasonable pace and those in it remained a d connected throughout.. action was described very well and was described with details. I hope you enjoy as well
SAD. So sad I feel compelled to create an account to accurately rate this final chapter in Leo and Andar’s story. The book is terribly rushed and disjointed- filled with needless fight scenes and the first boringly detailed sex scene of the series.
I couldn’t believe after all the effort the author put into these characters and the readers that he (or his editors for that matter) would do them the disservice of rushing the final book but… well… he did. Boo!
An Incredible series of family, hope, courage. I could hardly wait to find out the next turn of the wheel. I give an unqualified recommendation to this series. Each book seem to get better. I was anxious to discover the outcome, but sad for it to be over. I will be reading more BT Narro in the future.
I must lernd English !!!
a fantastic ending to a thoroughly enjoyable series
This book felt shorter than the first 3… or it could just be that so much happened it felt impossible it all fit in one book.
This fourth and final instalment of the Stalwart Link series is action packed from start to finish… I kinda saw the ending coming… but the journey was well worth it!
An oddly abrupt ending to a perfectly decent series. If the book was 1.5 the length it is it probably would have been the best of the series. But wow what an abrupt ending, it just skips the conclusion entirely. I am almost sure this was an editor/publisher thing, like it was ment to be a 5 boon series or something
Up to this point the series was great. This book really disappointed me. A rather rushed ending and an unnecessary and unnecessarily explicit sex scene ruined this for me. Explicit sexual descriptions ruin books for me. Save them for the romance novels or adult book stores. I just want a good story that let's me fill in the blanks with my own mind.
Brilliant book great characters fantastic story all through the series I couldn't stop reading it I look forward to more from n t narrro in the future ,good look for the future stoties
This was an amazing conclusion to this series. I’m so glad I stumbled across it in the audible plus catalogue. The action and story and world building were all impeccable and the story wrapped up really good. Well written and well narrated .
Really like the authors twits and turns throughout the series. I'm not sure if this is the end of this installment. If it is I'm happy with it. I am curious if the series will continue. The author does a really good job with characrer devolopment and has a knack for keeping a series going with aging characters.
