Prosper Worthington is a decorated war hero, a convicted felon, and the ex-cellmate and road companion of his best friend, Jack Winston. Different as two men can be, Prosper is rough, hot-headed, focused, and driven. He’s also had more than enough of Jack’s spur-of-the-moment decisions, faulty reasoning, and Peter Pan-like existence.
Magaskawee Whitefeather is living in desperate poverty on a Lakota Sioux Reservation in the Badlands of South Dakota. She sleeps on the tin roof of a decrepit, over-crowded housing unit, sells beautiful, handmade jewelry by the side of the road, and dreams of a chance at a better life in faraway places. On the eve of her eighteenth birthday, she is given that chance the moment she hops on the back of Jack Winston’s bike. When Prosper looks at Maggie’s shining eyes, gentle smile and graceful beauty he sees just another one of Jack’s very bad ideas. Until fate steps in and proves she is far from that. Set against a backdrop that spans decades, this is the story of three very different people who struggle to find their place in this world. It is a tale of deep yearning, unmitigated joy, and immeasurable heartache. Sometimes, the most beautiful stories are the hardest to take— This is Prosper’s story.
Hey all, Just a few quick words about me. I was raised on the North Shore of Boston and born in Salem. Yep that Salem! My childhood neighborhood was filled with kids and there wasn't one part of it that wasn't magical. I draw a lot on those memories when writing. My latest book, Trailer Park Girls, is dedicated to my first grade teacher. When I finished college I settled in the beautiful Berkshires of Massachusetts where I raised my children and settled into a career in teaching. I wrote my first book, Raine Falling, in 2014, and have been writing ever since!
Prosper is book 7 and the final book in the Hells Saints MC series. I have been waiting for Prosper’s story from the very beginning of the series. I knew from reading the previous books, his story was going to be a tough one, and I was right. This story is definitely an emotional journey.
Prosper Worthington had a rough and heartbreaking past that was filled with violence and betrayal. It was also filled with a love for a woman, Maggie, the love of his life. Of course, that brought more complications and heartache. Nonetheless, Prosper turned into the father figure for many, and the backbone to the Hells Saints MC as their President. Now, life has thrown him a curveball, and he is forced to “retire”. That doesn’t mean life is quiet for him, especially when Maggie’s daughter, Claire, makes a discovery.
If you have read the previous books, this is a must read. You could read this as a standalone, but you will get confused during the epilogue. The author wrote an epic epilogue where we get to see the entire gang.
I can’t tell you how sad I am that Prosper’s story and Hells Saints MC saga is over. It has been a hell of a ride.
I've loved Prosper since book 1 in the series so I was kinda nervous to read his story, knowing that he never got his Maggie. Welp I'm so glad I pulled up those big girl panties and dove in, because I loved it and what a fabulous way to end a series!
Prosper didn't have the easiest of lives yet he was always the first one to step up to the plate. The love he had for not only Maggie, but her girls was beautiful.
Like I said, I'm glad I read it (even though it made me cry) but am sad to see the series end.
Didn’t get past the prologue. Once I read Prosper’s thoughts on those he loved, I returned it (thanks KU). I think I'm the only person in the world who loved Pinky and thought she deserved better.
I think I fell in love with Prosper in book one (Game Changer/Raine Falling) after seeing how much he loved the girls and while sad to see the series end it definitely did justice to Prosper. The beginning focuses more on Maggie, the mother of Claire and Raine, and how she met her husband Jack and his friend Prosper but soon delves into Prosper’s tale. You saw how strong and caring he was, even as a tough biker and how his love for Maggie carried over into her children. Along the way we also see how he met his old lady Pinky and how the love developed. It does have some carryover scenes from book one, but from an adult perspective. The epilogue was epic. There are some sexy scenes but it’s more about the relationship in this book an how that created the Prosper we all know now. I would highly recommend reading the previous books in the series for the greatest pleasure. 5 stars
Prosper is Paula Marinaro’s 7th and final release from her Hells Saints Motorcycle Club series ... sigh ...
I have to say that his story knocked me on my a$$. Those of you who have followed this unforgettable MC series know Prosper as the unyielding, no-holds-barred president of the HSMC, who is the baddest of the bad with a heart of a lion. His story is filled with a touch of humor, a ton of heartbreak, and all the history that makes up Prosper Worthington, the man who has worked his way into the hearts of all Paula’s readers. I’ve never fallen in love with a character as much as I have Prosper. His story is as complex and as beautiful as the man himself. The epilogue will rip your heart out and leave you picking up the pieces of yourself off the floor. Paula Marinaro could not have written his story and the final installment of this phenomenal series any better. ✨PROSPER IS BRILLIANT!✨
I'm sorry but I read this book because I wanted more of Pinky and Prosper. I was hoping it would be their story. Instead it's a story about how Maggie is the love of his life and Pinky will never compare( oh he loves her but will never ever love her as much as he loves Maggie). To be quite honest it pissed me off. Pinky deserved better 😤
Prosper never loved his wife, and finding out she was only a placeholder for the woman he truly loved, was an arsehole move. Pinky deserved better. I wish the author would have cared enough about that sweet woman to give her a believable and true HEA.
“I believe in fate. I believe in mystery and magic and dreams that tell the future. And I believe things are written in the stars.”
Love, Love, Love Prosper’s story. I am so sad that this series has come to an end, but as heartbreaking as it is~it was done beautifully. This book is filled with so much emotion. I love how everything is revealed and brought full circle.
“The thing I learned most about courage is that it’s something brave people call upon when they are so scared to do a thing that they can barely breathe, but they do it anyway because it’s just the right thing to do,”
I have one word for this book wow I have loved this series and have waited for prosper book since raine's falling and omg it was amazing. Paula has amazing writing skills and she slayed me with her words the best biker series I have read and will always be my go to books. Love you xoxo
My heart will never be the same again. I have read every book in this series and have fell in love with each character. My heart belongs to Prosper.....such a brilliantly written MC series. I don't want it to be over. I would love to just say thank you to Paula....you've kept this avid reader enthralled with you're MC world through these years. Definitely a one-click author for myself. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
I haven't read all of the Hells Saints MC books but I couldn't resist reading about Prosper. It's KU too. It's about the history between Prosper and Jack and Maggie. I liked reading about Prosper's past. It was sad at times but I still enjoyed the novella.
I really loved this book. I have been waiting on Prospers story..sweet beautiful Maggie....I felt sorry for her so many times. My heart hurt for Pinky, such a sweetheart and loved Prosper. She was always second best but to me she was number one in many ways. It hurt me just reading about it . I guess in a way Jack was second best also. He did some questionable things but I believe he loved Maggie and their girls. I wish there were more books coming in this series. ❤❤❤
I read this years ago when it first came out, and this is one of the reviews I made that disappeared several years ago. I just re-read this book and loved it, I think more than the first time. I loved Prosper and always did and after this book I love him even more but as crazy as it sounds Pink shines in this book for me, I just loved her character so much. I forgot how much I love this series and hope there's more to come. Also a note don't read the epilogue in public if you don't like people seeing you cry, I knew it was coming and still cried.
Sorry!!!! Pinky deserved way better I am angry at her for settling for less and angry at prosper for doing that to her, she deserved way better. Too know the person you love the most thinks of you as second best and also to accept with daughters of said women with open arms i mean Hats off to Pinky. I hope author had had given Pinky that, hoped she had given her someone who loves her equally if not more.
Any time that I see that Paula Marinaro releases one of these books I already know it is going to be a good read and this book was no exception hearing Prospers story was awesome hearing about his and Maggie and also the beginning story of Raine and Claire. I will continue to recommend this series to everyone. Please keep writing more amazing stories
If ever a book should come with a warning label to have a box of tissues at the ready, it is this one. You can run the whole gamut of emotions with the characters. This whole series will take you on a ride of a lifetime. Keep your wheels down, wind in your hair, and the sun on your back.
Thanks for this look back on prospers life. I have loved this Helps Saint family. So sorry we have come to the end but have enjoyed all the ups and downs
A heartdful story of escaoing fate, of taking a chance to get a bvetter lofe, of love a,nd passion, of lotalty, betrayal, lasting love. I really cried several times, I loved the pace and the fierce tenderness of the characters of Jack, Maggie, Prosper, Pinky, Raine and Claire. I loved that Prosper wasn't a saint but what a Man!!!!!
I put off reading this because I hate when a series I love ends. This book is actually a prologue to the whole series and while I knew what happened I still loved knowing more.
Prosper has been the HSMC president for years, I’ve loved him in all the previous books in this series and I knew how he was connected. But this book showed the triangle of him, Maggie and Jack. It also showed us how he met Pinky, which was awesome.
The epilogue was amazing and to be honest, I cried multiple times while reading and while super emotional it was just beautiful.
I read the first two books in this series. I’m glad I didn’t read the books in between. Prosper and Pinky were the long married couple of the club. He had two daughters that he had adopted from a couple that he was very close to after the mom died of cancer. He was in love with the girls mother. It is stated in this story that he loves his wife and he never cheated but he loved/loves Maggie more. Maggie is the girls mom. I felt bad for Pinky for being the second best. She was aware of the situation too.
I would love to see what happens in the afterlife. Does he spend it with Maggie or Pinky?

A book has been closed after a long reading journey. And what a journey it has been.
I cried when I read the last chapter. Prosper is a character with wisedom, hard love and pain. This series have been hard. Not hard to read but hard in a way the characters have been following their stories, good and bad.
This series made me think and feel. Thinking about why people make certain choices and what I would do. It made me think about how short life can be and how to make it your own without fear of making a mistake. Mistakes are a part of life, something Prosper would have said.
I’ve been dying to read the back story for Prosper, Jack and Maggie. This book didn’t disappoint!! Seeing from Maggie’s eyes why she fell for Jack and Prosper was awesome. This book really makes me want to re-read Raine and Claire’s books! This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions for me! I’m so sad to see this series end but loved the ride!! Paula is an excellent story teller and look forward to more from her in the future.
What an end to a series, book and family story. I feel in love with Prosper in the first book I read by Paula Marinaro, it was Raine Falling. What hooked me on Prosper was when he told the child Raine he had saved up a lot of brave just for her, then answered her, that 'yes he had it'. He did the same for the woman Raine. Then at his end Raine said the same to him. Man I wish and wait for more books by Paula Marinaro.
