There are approximately three hundred million people around the world who suffer from depression. In America alone, people spend a combined total of more than two hundred billion dollars a year fighting this terrible illness. Unfortunately, however, there is no pill that cures depression. Medication targets the symptoms of depression, not the cause. And because of that, the cure for depression will never be found in a bottle of pills. In order to cure depression, you must identify the cause, root it out, and put preventive measures in place to keep it from ever coming back. This book will show you how to do exactly that.
This book is inspiring and practical at the same time. I’m pleasantly surprised with all the research provided (I don’t like doing it), and I’ve always appreciated the advice and insight of someone who’s been through it and beat it. Some things that he’s talked about I’ve actually experienced and can now identify and put a name to it. Without providing any spoilers, I can tell you that he pinpoints to all areas in your life that are affected by depression; and gives you a good idea on how to tackle it, baby steps or big steps, it’s all up to you. I’ve learned a lot overall and I’m grateful for the author sharing this book with those of us who don’t like medication, or research, and want to get better.
