Darkest in the series

Okay just a warning this is just as dark as the other books in this series and perhaps even more so than the last. Basically be prepared and brace yourself.

I’m on the fence on whether to give this story 4 or 5 stars. If we were able to give half stars, I would’ve probably given this story a 4.5 out of 5. I enjoyed this book to the point where I couldn’t put it down, but it definitely frustrated me more than the other books in the series did. I found myself frustrated with the men, even though it wasn’t really their fault and most of all I found myself frustrated with Itzel. Don’t get me wrong she’s a sweetie pie, but spoiler....

Her not putting her foot down when it came to her sister didn’t come off as an act of benevolence to me but rather an act of complete idiocy. I adore Itzel I really do but she came off as a bumbling idiot in this book because she just refused not to see her evil ass sister without rose colored glasses. It was upsetting and ultimately frustrating as I didn’t think her sister could do any worse and she really truly did in this book. It could have been prevented if Itzel had grown a backbone sooner where her sister was concerned but instead it felt like her ignorance and forgiveness for her sister was dragged out for the sake of the storyline. Don’t get me wrong, I relished in her eventual defeat but we all know the b-word should have been dealt with sooner. Now in regards to steam I have to say this book is a 10/10 and for the most parts I liked all of Itzel’s mates but they pissed me off and I know it’s childish but I didn’t think they would have fallen under a spell so easily. Tadeu rubbed me the wrong way and I felt like he still had a long way to go in redeeming himself. I liked their rough Sex but he was a complete and utter asshole to her and at times, I wished he just wasn’t part of the harem. I’m all for a large harem but he’s given me bad vibes from the beginning of the series and I kind of hated how he seemed to fetishize the fmc’s virginity and how he even seemed upset with the fact that he didn’t get to take it himself. Dude wasn’t a virginal flower sooo misogynistic much? I get this is a dark read, but it really didn’t do any favors in endearing his character to me. I get he went through things but I wish we got a scene where he and Itzel talked it out. Also, the idea that Camila may have touched one of them, not confirmed but the 1% chance it may have happened threw me out of orbit. I literally want to start a hate group on that bish, because I feel like any type of punishment wouldn’t be enough. Kudos to the authors for writing a character who gets my blood boiling with the mere thought of her name. Anyways. I’m still a little melancholy about how things turned out in the midst of the story in regards to a certain male character but the ending was considerably happy even though I wasn’t completely happy with the way the story played out. I definitely think I’d come back to it just for some of the smut scenes.

Whelp that's done

I didn't think this storyline was terrible. I didn't even mind all the mates. That all made sense... mostly. As powerful as the fmc was. It made sense that she'd need tethers to keep her grounded but how unfortunate they couldn't save her from herself. Seriously, the decisions made in so many situations in this book were utterly ridiculous. The fmc was honestly too stupid to live at times. Forced love overcoming a true mate Mark? It's like the men were suddenly and completely different men. It was mentioned time and again that the love from the amulet could create feelings of love, the rush of the endorphins but... big but.... it couldn't overcome a true mate mark or the connection to the true mates. That's a huge plot hole and while I understand what was trying to be achieved, it made reading this book frankly quite painful. I mean she brought these men back from death. The bond that would create should supersede false magic. Not to mention, she's supposedly this insanely powerful priestess who has a mentor and not once did she try to talk to lilith or her mother about it? The explanation of her relationship to gao as well as best described by her other mate, convenient. And the scene with her sister.... no. Just no. Loyalty to one's family only goes so far. Seriously? I feel let down. The character started so strong and then ended up looking weak. So this wasn't the best book, it wasn't the worst but it definitely wasn't of the same quality of the first two books.

Well this was quite the journey. Very horny yet infuriating. Heed the trigger warnings but if you've come this far, you probably can handle it.

I HATE Camila. I want to punch her face and spit in her food. The WORST.

I love, love Gabor. He might rival Lord Balam for being my favorite. I just realized I don't think Lord Balam was given a first name. He's just Lord Balam. Huh.

I liked all her guys even though Tadeu took it to the very end to completely win me over.

The men all seemed different. Sometimes it seems in RHs the guys don't always have distinct personalities or two might and three other ones might as well have been one dude. So a big kudos to that.

I spent a good portion of this book angry. I knew it would probably work out in the end but gosh darn did it do a number on my heart.

Itzel was a good herione even though she was annoyingly loyal to her sister. But that was very in line with her character. She's not a vindictive person but when it came down to it she stood up for herself.

Oh also her dad. Yeah F that guy.

I really did enjoy this series. Was it perfect? No. Was it a fun and wild ride and had me going "wtf?" Yes. Definitely yes. Glad I finally came back to this series and finished it.

I'm glad where it ended but there is one aspect that left me sad for Itzel. Lucky for her she has 7 hot hunks to console her.

I think this was by far the darkest in the series. None of them are happy books (there is a very large content warning at the start, so you know going in and it expect it by this point in the series) but this was the most horrific for me, and I don't think anyone's going to argue. This book will make you feel everything, and most likely make you want to run off and shower.

Boy where to begin with this book. They say you cant pick your family but my god Itzel's father and sister were truly nasty pieces of work. Just shocking!! The pace didnt slow in this last book either. With trying to get hold of the last amulet and plenty of drama with her mates. I genuinely wanted to punch Tadeu for whole attitude and how he treated Itzel. On the other hand Gabor............swoon!! He was my favourite in this book. What a gentleman. It was cracking read and all the loose ends were tied up perfectly. Loved it

I don't know what to say other than this books is crazy and I really liked it. The whole series is kind of out there but I think this one might actually take the cake. It's definitely a bit all over and the MC's make some really dumb choices that I seriously questioned and don't really think anyone would ever make but I still enjoyed it. The whole series could use a good round of editing but I can't say I regretted reading the series.

I have no idea why I powered through and read this series but it was not worth it. 0/10. Do not recommend. Way too much sexual assault and then making her brother one of her true mates. This story just didn’t make sense.

I absolutely loved this one! This was a fantastic conclusion to the series. I would highly recommend reading the previous books prior to this one as well since they all pick up pretty much where the last one left off and are part of one continuous story. Itzel has been through a lot on her journey to get all of the amulets and has learned a ton about herself and her family as well as all of her mates. I loved watching Itzel in this one as she comes more fully into her strength and fighting for the people in her kingdom and wanting what is best for their. This is not a light story and there are quite a few dark and twists things that happen to Itzel in this story that she has to deal with and figure out how to overcome. Her mates also have some growth to do as they get pulled in different directions and have to figure out how to become a solid group. I was pulled in from beginning to end and truly enjoyed this story and this series!
It was a fantastic listen and the narrators did a phenomenal job with all of the voices and accents for the characters. I was highly impressed and you could tell the difference between the characters by the voice and they did a great job with all the emotions as well. I loved these narrators and they really brought the story to life.

In-fuckin-furiating!!! So I discovered Alexa B James when I came across the Academy of Sorcery series. Which I loved and could not put it down. So I’m the type , I then want to read all an authors books. So I got the Feline Royals…….

Let’s put aside all the non-con scenes. Which there is a lot. Her. Father. Raped. Her. That needs a trigger warning. Non-con does not in any way cover that. Nor does it cover her “dad” having other men sexually assault her. Again, non-con does not cover that. Someone might say “well he wasn’t her biological dad”. She found out five minutes before. That mother fucker in her eyes is her dad. That needs a separate trigger warning. For women/girls like me who have had these things happen to them. It’s beyond triggering.

You’re a good author but you’re irresponsible. I didn’t even go into how having love interests who sexually assault the MFC yet she still will love them in the end. Is also irresponsible because it perpetuates that women should lay down and take all the awful things a man does to her. Sorry wound up mentioning it.

I’m actually sad cause I loved the one series but because of this on I just won’t read any more of your books.

Wild ride

This book was all over the place! Ups, downs, sideways.... I mean that in every conceivable way. Tons of steam, emotional roller coaster, twists and turns, it was great.

So you may wonder why only 4 stars instead of 5. Wellll.... its more like a 4.5 really but I felt it wouldn't be fair to my other 5 star books to put this on that level. The reason that is is that there was some statements about how the magic works that didn't jive with what we had been lead to believe in the previous books. It wasnt too bad but it bothered me a little. It was definitely not as crazy pants as the prior book though. Most of it lined up but not all of it lined up with the image that was put in my head in earlier books. There was also some sort of convenient solutions it didn't bother me that much but I still noticed.

Itv really was a good book but just shy of 5 stars for me.

Super Dark, Super Taboo

But perfect. This is a series for people who enjoy the darker side of fantasy and the horrifying reality of sick individuals. While obviously, none of the things that occurred in this book should be emulated. It is wonderful to read someone overcoming such darkness and becoming victorious. I've read books where the author has written about the darkest parts of humanity and sometimes they work others it just comes out crass. Don't ask me how, but James has written horrible things that somehow translate in a way that as taboo as it is, you're on her side. I also feel like James might have a higher understanding of power dynamics and kinks. This book was super messed up and I loved every second of it. So thank you James, you letting us join you in fantastical darkness then return to the safety of our own lives.

Seriously though, well done. I can't wait to read more of your work.

Soooo Naughty!

Daaaaang! James ended this series with a Huge Bang!

Fallen Princess picks up with Itzel and her True Mates still on the hunt for the last amulet while trying to beat her ragging brat of a sister..Camila.

There is a warning at the beginning of the book... Please read it and decide if you're okay with extreme taboo. If you're not or you have lots of triggers this book will not be for you.

That being said.. Good God Almighty.. there are sooo many naughty things going on in this book! Some super extreme and some .. well no they're all super extreme. If you have an open mind, enjoy lots of sex in books, good with shifters, ready for lots of angst... Then get to clicking! Make sure you read the first three books prior to starting this one though!

Two stars because the series as a whole had so much potential.

Unfortunately it just fell flat. I’m not going to talk about the dark or taboo plot lines as those have already been added as a disclaimer. Fair enough, I respect YKISNMK (Your Kink is Not My Kink).

What I really couldn’t stand was the lack of any actual resolution to any of the challenges and problems in the book. Every single thing was just solved by sex.

If I could summarise the whole series, it would be: Find amulet. Sex. Get amulet. Sex. Backstabbed. Sex. Betrayed. Sex. Lost. Sex. Humiliated. Sex. Cry. Sex. Imprisoned. Sex. Kill. Sex. Victory. Sex.

It could have been an amazing series…. If not everything was solved by sex.

Book 4 of 4 - Itzel has all of her mates, fated and chosen, and just needs to decide whether she can lead or not... simple right? Not really, the 'dad' is just gross and the sister who drove me mad all series is actually like evilllll. Hold your seats, it gets tougher and toughter but the HEa is there... eventually!

The heat is fab, the complex mix of the shifters along the way, shows unique and wonderful world building alongside such wonderful differences in skills, magic and personality of all those involved that eventually become Itzel's family.

An absolutely amazing series, once again from Alexa B James! Bought on Kindle and Audible - the narrators are frigging awesome! 30 hours if you buy the complete series for just one fee or credit, it is so good!

That Crown is mine...

Dark, intense, will have your toes curling, Itzel has gone through a lot of crap just to get the amulets for her bratty pain in the Arse sister who deserved everything that she had coming to her towards the ending of the book. The king her so called dad was a real psycho, evil, and deserved what he got, but totally worth the binge read, amazing series, like the author says has some triggers and scenes were it might make you uncomfortable, get over it. This Book is so worth the read!! Congrats on an Amazing book, Bravo!!! This Book was reviewed by a Book Loving Vixen

Glad I stuck around for book four!

There are definitely some trigger points in this book but if you have made it through the first three books, you should be fine. That being said, this was probably my favorite of them all. This one tapped into a lot of emotions. There were multiple twists that took me by surprise. There were some truly messed up moments with some of the characters that added a nice dark element to some of them. The story really came together and gave a great ending. So although the first book had me undecided as to whether it was really worth continuing the series, I'm glad I continued reading. It definitely got better and better with each book!

This finale to a fantastic series was great. We get the big showdown and watch everything come apart and come back together in this latest installment. There's lots of darkness (triggers) so make sure you're ok with that before reading. This last book definitely upped the dark factor. The characters were great, so much diversity of personalities... Some you'll live and some you'll hate. The plot was solid and gave us readers everything we could want in a final. Really enjoyed it. I hope we get some novellas or even a spin off series one day. I'm not ready to leave this world!

when taboo meets perfection

This series was dark, real, and felt impossible at times. Her sense of selflessness knew no bounds. Itzel wants the kingdom so that she can improve the life of others, whereas everyone else in a position of power wants to use her.

She has lost everything, but never strays. She is always seeking connection to help others, and never believes that all is lost. This series was perfect, a great HEA, even when you ask yourself how things can get worse, how did she suffer again.

I loved it.

I'm glad she got her happy ending. so much happen oh lets not forget how sick her father was, okay i know it was her real dad but still how could he do that to her. sick he got what he deserve.

This final book will answer all your questions for you. This is a dark, intense book. Itzel wants to united all the people but her father and spoiled brat of a sister want it for themselves. What Itzel has to do to collect all the amulet, she does for the hood of the people. A lot of sex talk, triggers, if you don’t like it then don’t read it. I enjoyed it. It wasn’t my kind of book at first but I glad I read it. Itzel kicks butt. The narrator’s did a excellent job with all the characters.

This is the last book in this series, . Book 4. Of a fast paced series. The author Alex B wrote a paranormal story that is hot. But it’s full of mystery and suspense. You won’t believe where this story will take you. With all the twists and turns . Does the princess get what belongs to her

The performance of all the narrators Bridget Bordeaux, Jake Bordeaux, James Brunt, Peter Trinh were great. How they did all the characters with their tones were spot on

There’s a lot of TW and some really gut reaching scenes and actions between the characters. The storyline continues and just when you thought all is good, nope, not at all. But then the story ends and happy ending, kinda, ensues, if that’s your thing.

Overall, good read, plot and how to get the amulets seems a bit redundant, best storyline was in the ghost world and learning about her history/future there.

Lots of drama, fights, emotional train wreck.

Delicious

This book was absolutely delicious and the perfect end to the series. I love Itzel and her strength, even when faced with traumas, and she had her fair share in this book. However, she also has amazing passion and love with her mates and partners. These men, whew, they really rock my socks off! Great read!

I’m not even sure what just happened! What a completely gut wrenching, soul destroying, darkest emotional roller coaster! My heart broke and shattered completely for poor Itzel. I can’t even describe how destroyed this book make me emotionally! Although a very satisfying ending if you can manage to stick through! A satisfying finish to the series.

Fantastic Conclusion!!

DAMN!!! This is a fast paced, very intense and extremely sexy conclusion to this fantastic series. It all ends with a bang and is highly entertaining from beginning to end.

It's dark, it's twisted, it's really intense and it is highly erotic. Prepare to be riveted to your seat and having your panties melt right off you!!

Itzel goes through a lot to get the amulets making this conclusion that much more intense. Fallen Princess is the fourth and final book in the Feline Royals series and it is filled with unexpected twists, drama, some triggers, and a fantastic ending. I look forward to reading the next great series by this fabulous author. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Fallen princess

This is the last book in this series, and wow. So much happens in it that you will not believe. Some of the things that the people do to get or keep the crown will make you feel sick. The story does answer the questions you have been wanting to know.
The narrators do an amazing job with all the characters

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the fourth and final book in the Feline Royals series. This book contains some major taboo situations and possible triggers for some. Itzel has to truly fight to keep her mates and win the crown from her sister. By the end all works out. Bridget Bordeaux, Jake Bordeaux, James Brunt, and Peter Trinh did a great job narrating this series.

Love this series!! FMC is amazing and has inner strength that amazes me. It was a bit of a roller coaster but her mates are sweet, caring, brutal and hot as hell. Fun read. I love this world.
