Amazing story of two great chiefs and of the Apache tribe’s transition from their traditional way of life to accommodation/subjugation with white American society - perhaps cultural genocide. This tells of two+ generations of their battles with Mexican and American society and military. Amazing adventure story, but also a tragic tale of subjugation by force and treachery. The two authors paint very accurate portraits of both Cochise and Geronimo by accessing a very wide range of sources.
