Ever since Shea Anderson laid eyes on hazel-eyed hunk Craig Clark Evans, she longed to feel his lips pressed against hers. But that would never happen, because Craig hated her from the moment he met her at his aunt's house. His dislike for her only grew after his aunt left her as the sole owner of her company, Luscious Lips. Craig Clark Evans is determined to uncover how Shea tricked his dying aunt into signing over all the stocks of the family business to her and not him, but every time he looks into her dark eyes, his desire for her grows and other more pleasurable thoughts enter his mind. However, it doesn't matter how much he might want the ebony goddess in his bed, he plans to do whatever it takes to get his family business back. Will Craig come to his senses before it's too late and Shea's love for him is gone forever?
"The Queen of Tease" offers interracial romance stories that will leave you eager for more and turning the pages faster than you can read them. If you enjoy that, Marie's writing is perfect for you. Marie was inspired to become a writer after reading her first "racy" book as a teenager. She started writing years ago to pursue her dream and create characters who embody the idea of "Happily Ever After" for her fans.
Great title and cover...intriguing concept...quite a slow-paced read...often found myself WANTING deperately to skip ahead...the dialogue between the main characters is a bit "CORNY". Definitely NOT what I expected after reading the synopsis and the reviews at amazon.
I am a huge fan of Marie Rochelle's work.. and i am trying to work my way through her back list..
While i will sometimes find little issues with her contend, all in all i find her books really good and with the tension filled scenarios and more than hot smut - I enjoy reading the work she produces.
All The Fixin however came from total left field for me.. It was like high school all over again. I like the girl, I don't like the girl - yet i tell every thing to my best friend and write in my diary...
OMG i wanted to like something in this one and to be honest the support cast give a better showing than the main protags... and then everything was wrapped up in assumptions and utter useless jealousy..
Too much drama which eventually leads to too much trauma and the outlook, i just could not see it.
I am not going to go further down the line of tearing this book apart - fans of Ms. Rochelle work - you need to read ( it's always good to see an author at their best and their worst), new readers give this a miss until you have a solid feel of Ms. Rochelle work - i have read a whole lot better from her..
I always love Ms. Rochelle"s characters and the exciting plots she weaves around them. Her heroine, Shea is sheer woman (forgive the pun) and she is madly in love with Craig who is just too arrogant and stubborn to realise it. We see him stumble and fumble his way through until he makes an unforgivable error smashing the feelings of the tender hearted Shea. It is fun watching Craig try to win her heart with the help of each of their best friends, Josh and Pierre -perhaps a new book from these two characters. Anyway thoroughly enjoyable read. One or two typing and duplication errors not enough to ruin the story; but Ms. Rochelle, you are a well respected author whose books are a similar price to many other renowned writers, these errors need to be amended. I would still recommend this book for Shea's sake!! A great read!
