The Corbyn Factor: The Forbidden Truth Behind Labour’s Catastrophic Defeat
Only a handful of people in Britain understand the new political reality that determined the result of the 2019 UK general election. Cummings has fully grasped the new reality first revealed by Donald Trump, namely that we live in a post-politics age. Politics has been replaced by culture wars, identity politics, marketing and psychology. Labour didn’t stand a chance in the election because the party was operating according to the old paradigm where politics matters in and of itself. Labour still believed in political ideology, policies, manifestos, appearing on TV shows to answer probing questions by hostile journalists. It still believed politics was a force for good. It still took politics seriously.
How naïve! How Cummings laughed. Cummings, the supreme cynic, understood that politics is irrelevant. All that matters now is the game, the branding, the marketing, the advertising, the messaging. All that matters is data, audience profiling, audience targeting, motivating the audience to get out and vote. Voters are now just “bots” to be manipulated by algorithms.
Boris Johnson isn’t a prime minister any more than Donald Trump is a president. They are the front men of political brands, not leaders of political parties, not visionary political theorists.
A "Corbyn myth" is being constructed by the enemies of Corbyn to end the possibility of transformative politics in this country.

Labor VS Tories
Or perhaps Democrats VS Republicans. Or perhaps Likud with whatever opposition Israel can come up with to insane politics. Or perhaps the deranged right versus the Sleeping Left (or rather the centrist liberal). The Corbyn Factor is very simple. It explains how the consciousness and psyche of the English people are constantly being engineered by the Tories, the far-right, and the Super-Rich Elites to the point that they defend the hand that hits them and attacks the hand that feeds them. This is False consciousness in all its glory.
Obviously, the fight is between the Right and the Left. Between the Freudian Id and the Freudian Super-Ego. Between people driven by their Reptilian brain and people driven by their Limbic system. Between people driven by their Limbic System and people driven by their Neocortex.
The author presents all the weak spots of Corbyn and the Labor Party and explains why the results of the 2019 elections were as they were. He also explains that Boris Johnson and the Tories didn't win because they were the best or most meritorious or the salvation that the English people were waiting for, but simply because they were the ones who rigged the game and they were the ones who knew how to play that rigged game.
