Rate this book
Drawing upon themes of love, relationships, family and themes of anxiety, fear, and worry regarding the consequences of climate change, this book of poetry shines light on the ways we are all connected and the work we all must do, both for love, and for planet. Love in the Time of Climate changes is a book of poetry that is spiritual, personal, universal, and moving. It is a book that will touch hearts, inspire minds, and fuel inspiration for hope, activism, justice, and compassion. The poems in this book flow from poems of love, from poems of family, to poems of environmental issues, species extinction, air pollution, and the reality that we are living and loving in a world on fire. Love in the Time of Climate Change, A Book of Poems is a cozy, enjoyable, sweet, and serious analysis that celebrates the power of love while also situating it within the context of the anxiety, worry, upset, and grief caused by a changing planet.

Jenny Justice is a poet. Full stop. Dream sentence. Now, she is also a mother, a fiance, a Buddhist spiritual seeker, and a Sociologist who teaches Sociology to college students.

She enjoys reading, writing, spending time with her baby girl, who is 11, and laughing and joking around with her comedian husband to be.

Jenny was all set to be an English major, the first in her family to go to college, the first to go onto more education, somehow, and the first to get an almost PhD before life events happened that she sometimes writes poetry about. She ended up taking a Sociology class and loved it because of it's focus on justice and changing the world. She combines this deep stuff, with spiritual stuff, and general English major stuff every single day as a person on this planet and as a poet striving to be one of those "real poets" you know how it is.

She wants to write books and books and books of poetry that speak to people and maybe spark the sparks that might lead to social change - she writes love poems, poems for kids, poems about social justice, racism, equity, feminism, and poems about climate change, as well as poems about being a woman, being a mom, being a poet, and loving poetry.

She is a big supporter of indie work, indie women, indie poetry and of anything that changes the world in that Jim Henson, Mr. Rogers, Bob Ross, Reading Rainbow, kind of way that is rooted in kindness and wholesomeness and being good people who spread goodness.

This is brilliant! Jenny is a talented poet who takes everyday language and turns it into beautiful and heart-wrenching messages of truth and awareness.

"Love in the Time of Climate Change" is modern poetry, and the brilliance has no scent of pretentiousness. Jenny's work truly is for everyone. The scope of her work ranges from everyday love and relationships to world and social issues. But - it doesn't end there. Jenny's writing is so powerful it will literally bring you to action.

Connection, art, education, call-to-action - this is the brilliance of Jenny Justice.
