Get when you cross a shifter and an assassin. Finding a mate. This time it's Marcus who finds his true love but she has been sent to kill him. Both of them have a way to either compel someone to tell the truth or like Cassidy who can tell if someone is fibbing.

Fast-paced storyline, with strong, sensitive, family oriented characters. Marcus is shocked to discover that his mate is an assassin sent to kill him. I loved the witty conversations between Marcus and Cassidy, and I really loved the fight scenes. This is another great book in an awesome series.

I've loved reading about the Le Beaus and Marcus is no exception.
Marcus the protector, was around in previous books helping the new ladies settle in, getting used to their new surroundings.
It's been great catching up with the rest of the family too. I love how they live, love and laugh together, each of them having the others backs should it be needed.
And love that we get to meet the New mates, who idependently are interesting and equally explosive on their own, but once they accept their new situation, how seemlessly they settle into their new lives.
It always intrigues me with the instant connection, between shifter and Mate with the natural resistance of the mate, but its as if they have an inlking of whats happening. Cassidy was no different whilst she denied any attraction at first she soon realised thigs were different. Even though her disguise wasn't much of a deterent for Marcus.
These stories have the huge love story at its core, but you get so much more - there is action, thrills and spills, lots of suspense which all keeps your interest piqued, as to what's going to happen next.
I also love how each mating or pairing whilst the same for each couples are uniquely theirs.
We still get off the chart sexy pages, but the thrill of seeing the story unfold and being concluded is a lovely journey to be part of.

Marcus is the intended victim, but who will get the job done!?
Wow! What a beginning! At first, when I began reading MARCUS I was thrown into a vicious car scene which was not going to end well for either Marcus, or myself. Marcus, a wolf shifter, would obviously survive, but as an onlooker I was taken down into a ravine, ultimately hanging upside down and trapped by the metal of our car! And so it begins.... The author, V.A.Dold, is known for writing books that encompass strong family (whether shifter, alien, or vampire) values, respect for good vs. bad, the melding of souls when the shifter meets his/her mate and the love of well-endowed female characters.
Despite the mystery of why Marcus was being targeted and by whom, Dold is always true to her basic theme for the LeBeau men:

I was gifted this ARC in return for an honest review.
It's a fun, fast read. We get to revisit lovable characters from the tight-knit Le Beau family as Marcus finds his perfect mate. Too bad she's an assassin sent to take him out!
Cassidy is assigned by JARVS Corp to take down Marcus Le Beau. Too bad JARVS has an assassin with a conscience and who does her own research on her hits.
We get an action packed romp, through NOLA, as our H/h romance develops. They both have secrets, personal and professional. Can they get to the bottom of them, without Cassidy "finishing off" her assignment? If she doesn't, what will happen to her brother, who's being held as collateral?
As always, V.A. Dold brings us characters we can't help but cheer for. I wish I could become part of the Le Beau family too.
We get a bit more information fed to us regarding the origins of shifters, and others. I can't wait to see where this journey takes us next.
Well written, with multiple threads to pull from, the storyline slowly keeps building. I kinda want to shake the author and demand she tell me where this is heading. I'm very impatient. Ah, well! I guess I'm just going to have to keep reading. What a shame!

It is now Marcus’s turn to meet his destiny and mate with Cassidy. Cassidy lost her parents at a young age. A man she does not know claims to be her uncle and takes her from foster care and trains her to be the best assassin in his employ. She also has a younger brother Colin who she took from foster care when she turned the legal age. The newest contract put out is on Marcus Le Beau. She goes to Louisiana and gets hired on his security team as an undercover job. Marcus knows all about his mate and has finally met her. She looks totally different from the picture he saw. They discover who she is, her past, and why she is there. Marcus is relentless in his pursuit of her~ The man who took her when she was younger kidnapped Colin as an insurance policy she will finish this job! She has fallen for Marcus…but what should she do? She cannot choose him over her brother~ Will they have the chance to be fated mates? Will Cassidy finish the job and break her heart all at the same time? What will Marcus’s family do? This is the 10th book in the Le Beau series and each book gets better and better~ The characters endear themselves to your heart and it is great seeing them in each book as well. I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

This is the tenth book in the series. They can be read as standalones but I like them better in order. Marcus has found his mate, Cassidy. But there is a problem. She is an assassin who has been sent to kill him. Cassidy isn’t like other assassins though. She researches and gets to know her target. If she thinks they are innocent she won’t complete her mission. Turns out her boss has had enough of that. He knew that she would find Marcus innocent and he has taken measures to make sure she follows through. Marcus must not only woo his mate and convince her they belong together. He must help her break free from her boss. I love this series and this book doesn’t disappoint. I took my time reading this one and savored it. Marcus definitely found his match with Cassidy. She is wonderful and sweet but deadly at the same time. I can’t say enough about this book. There is romance, danger, suspense, and more. I can’t wait for the next book by V.A. Dold.

Light, easy read.
A slightly different take on shifters which was lightly entertaining but a couple of silly things niggled.
I feel this series could be much better with more depth.
I have missed a couple of books in this series but it was enjoyable to revisit this family and get caught up.
If Marcus had told Cassidy the truth when he found out about the parents, Cassidy may have reacted but she would have trusted him sooner.
In chapter eight they mention Etienne’s vampires but Cassidy, this elite assassin, doesn’t pick up on that.
Also found it funny they go out for dinner, just wandering around and not being alert.
Would have liked to have had more explanation of why Jones did what he did and some closure on the others from Jones’s stable of Jarvs Corp.

This is Marcus and Cassidy's story . Marcus's story is soooo good !! Cassidy has gotten a hit assignment on Marcus but since she will not end anyone without proof she decides to go to work with him to learn more about him . Marcus knows as soon as he scents and sees her that she is his One . He also knows that she is not being honest and is in a disguise . When he catches that she is there to assassinate him he knows that he will hire and keep an eye on her . Man this story will grab you so quick and will keep you reading until the end it is so good !! This is well written and recommended to all !! Grab this one along with the rest of Le Beau series you will be so glad you did !!

From the first LeBeau book I read in this series to this one; I’ve fallen in love with these characters. Marcus and Cassidy are the best yet and that’s saying something. Cassidy is my kind of woman. She wasn’t afraid of anything and doesn’t take any crap from anyone. Marcus LeBeau is a LeBeau through and through. He was willing to give Cassidy a Chance and believed in her. This book by far was the best. I usually don’t pick one in this series but these two characters are off the charts great. Thank you for letting me arc this book.

Be careful purchasing this book if you have important things to do, because let me tell you there is no way you can put the book down! The characters are raw, funny, charming, and we have one bada** who can take care of herself. It made me love Marcus even more knowing he respected where Cassidy came from, while still being the big scruffy guy we all want. If I could give this book more stars I would! I can’t wait to read all the other books in the series they just get better and better!

Simple enough, right ?
She did not count on the fact that the target would be her mate.
Marcus is a protector. He is one of the good guys.

Marcus finally meets his mate. They just have to overcome the fact she was hired to assassinate him. Cassidy has been trained since childhood but she won’t kill innocents. These two bond and overcome differences while learning to accept their destiny. I love these characters and how VA Dold brings in the family as well. This story has humor, emotional swings and passion LeBeau style. Marcus will put a smile on your face and in true Le Beau fashion a little fire in your heart.

You know what I like best about V.A. Dold’s books? Her heroines are strong women. Her men are not only alpha males but romantic and chivalrous. They put their women above all else even when they drive them crazy! Each book is better than the last.
Marcus and Cassidy are the perfect pair. She gives him a run for his affection in this story! I loved the action and the tenderness these two share while finding their way to becoming mates.

I ALREADY WROTE A REVIEW BUT IDK WTF IS GOING ON SINCE APPRENTLY ITS NOT HERE!!
Marcus has to b on top of his game especially when he's head of security but when he is targeted more than 1 from a unknown source he finds a unexpected woman that is possibly his mate but he needs 2 understand her better and get answers from her 1st. when she is not what she is supposed to b theirs red flags coming up. when things come up of who and what she is. with everything she does is with pesision and to find out the truth about who she investagates. when their lives intertwine they both learn how to love and help each other by all means necessary.

Facing challenges to win their mate is nothing new to the members of this family, although Marcus may have the biggest challenge to date!

Marcus has found his mate he should be thrilled BUT she’s been sent to assonate him. Great heartwarming story of a couple overcoming all obstacles to their HEA. The whole Le Beau family and some familiar faces make cameo appearances. His wolf just wants to claim Cassidy and Marcus is funny trying to slow things down for Cassidy. I can’t wait for the next story in this saga.

Funny and hilarious! Cajun boys on the hunt for their mates!
I was so excited to read the next book in this series! I couldn’t put it down. I loved how the LeBeau family gathers round and the crazy antics the brothers pull on their siblings. You’ll laugh out loud and giggle like crazy! It was a lot of fun to read the next part of this series. I hope the next book is longer!

I loved reading about Marcus and Cassidy. It's amazing how Cassidy didn't lose her humanity after everything she went through growing up. Marcus is a sensitive hero. This books was packed full of action, danger and sex. Was really great catching up with all the characters again. The author hit a home run with this book. Can't wait to read Krystal.

I love this series
This series turned out to be one of my favorites. I was just looking for something to pass the time and I found Cade the first book. By the time I read that I was hooked I have the whole series now and I've read and reread them all. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

Loving the wolf shifters 😍
I really enjoy the wolf shifter family books. Marcus and Cassidy she's a tough little bird 😄 not too tough for Marcus though. I'm always excited to read how their mates react to them exposing their wolf to them 🤭. This was a wonderful read I can't wait the series 11 to come out.

Marcus gets a surprise when his father Isaac hires a new security officer. She is his mate. She has hidden her identity with a wig and a disguise. She is actually an assassin. She is there to kill him. Of course, the Le Beau family will not let that happen. They flickering off. Marcus woos her. Loved it. Light, funny moments. Scary, action momeents. Great book.

Looooved the story. A kick-ass heroine, a drop-dead gorgeous and sensitive hero, Jam-packed action, extreme danger, and the sex and love were written extremely sensual and beautiful. Awesome addition to a magnificent series The author knocked it out of the ballpark with "Marcus".

It felt like a long wait. But, it was worth the wait! I've loved this series from the start. To love and be loved exactly for who you are is special and V.A. Dold did a wonderful job bringing this to life. Ready for the next one!

Great story with a few unexpected twists
I love the LeBeau series but I was uncertain if I would like the assassin heroine. She was the most unusual assassin I've read about with a strong set of morals. This is a great addition to a great series.

Ok. Not as interesting as some of her other titles in the series. As an adult with a hard (and sometimes uncomfortable) backstory to read about, sometimes Cassidy was a little too childish to stomach. Also Marcus is a lil too alpha for my liking.
