Unfriend Zoning

3.5 stars - There's plenty of sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll in this friends-to-lovers novella. It's just not always between Logan and Madison.

Best friends since they were tweens, Logan "Drummer Boy" Young and Madison "Cricket" Daley have boxed themselves into corners. I don't always like what's going on, but the story as a whole was very interesting and did keep me wanting to get past the drama and heartbreak to see what was on the other side.

I hate emotions. They complicate everything. And falling for someone you have no business falling for is the worst emotion of all.

There are some characters I absolutely hated, others I loved, and a couple that surprised me. Most of the time I liked Madison and Logan. They do let their fears get in the way a time or three. Their HEA is very fitting though.

For those who don't like cheating, other partners, drug and alcohol use and abuse, or depression and self-harm, you may want to try another book. It's sometimes very in-your-face. If you can manage those, you just might find this a good read. I know I did.

I don't feel right giving a rating to my own book, but guys, you seriously have to read this! These characters owned my heart for the past few months and I can't wait for you to meet them. Mads and Logan will have you laughing, crying, and wishing they would just wake up and be with each other already.

I am new to this author and was given this book to read as an ARC. I would read more of Alyson Hale.

If you like your rocker stories slightly hard core and I do say slightly then this is for you; drugs, sex and rock and roll.

Madison the lead singer of a rocker band just starting to make it's way falls of stage apparently after taking drugs and for a few secs when she wakes up in hospital doesn't remember who she is when sees Logan setting by her bed she hopes his her hunky boyfriend but no they are best friends and have been for 15 years. Logan is in relationship with the owner of the record label they are signed with he has secretly loved Madison for years but his girlfriend threatens to get her drop to the group of he leaves her!

Drama is also happening at home - Logans mum is not in a good place and hasn't been for years, Madison's dad and his girlfriend are off all over the world and don't spend much time with Madison so she is very closed to her Gran - when Gran falls and is in hospital Madison rushes home and Logan goes with her. The chemistry between the two can't be denied and just when you think they can have their happy ever after - tragedy strikes, blackmail happens and it looks like these two have two many hurdles to climb.

I was slightly disappointed that Madison jumped into bed with 2 men so quickly and in some places the drugs were sort of just thrown in not quite sure why really it didn't add anything to the story.

But if you want to read a slightly different Rocker romance than this is for. I would read more of Alyson Hale.

This was my first book I've read by this author but it definitely will not be the last one! I fell in love with the characters and really wanted things to work out for them. It was a very easy read and a great story with lots of romance and steam. I highly recommend it!

Knocking Some Sense Loose!!

It took a stage dive for rocker Madison to open her eyes and not remember anything. After spending a few days in a coma she came to hoping that that the hot guy sitting by her bed is her boyfriend only to come to realize that her best friend of fifteen years, Logan was only her lifelong friend.

They grew up together and formed a band together and were just coming to the end of their very first tour when realizing that maybe there was more to their special friendship. During all of this time nothing ever came between their friendship…until Celeste. Her father was head of the recording company that signed their band and she had Logan on a short string and was manipulating him every way she could.

Would Madison stand for it or would she protect him at all costs? This was a rollercoaster ride from the very beginning that took you to smutville along the way. There was hotness abounding in this book. Don’t get me wrong because it wasn’t all sunshine and roses. There were some pretty heavy things that Madison and Logan had to deal with along the road from friends to lovers.

Madison ends up in the hospital after a stage dive and loses her memory for a short time. She hopes that Logan is her boyfriend but he's with the band's manager's daughter. His girlfriend causes all kinds of drama after things get hot and heavy between Logan and Madison. This is the sex, drugs and rock and roll life baby so get ready for a ride. A good recommended read.

Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

Get ready to be rocked!

I have been finding such great 'new to me' authors lately and it seems I can count Alyson Hale as one of them now. Not sure how I found this book, but happy that it came my way, however that happened. Rockstar romances are a big favorite of mine and so how could I resist a 'friends feeling more' story with a favorable rating? Well, I couldn't!!!

A stage dive gone terribly wrong has landed the lead singer of Malodie, Madison Daley, in the hospital and in a coma. When she wakes up 5 days later, she doesn't remember the gorgeous and caring man by her side. He's acting like a boyfriend but why then would she not know him?

Seems that coming out of that coma has left her with something extra- namely, major lustful feelings for her best friend of 15 years, Malodie's sexy drummer boy, Logan Young!!! Ooopps, that can't be right, what's wrong with her??? When she realizes her mistake, Madison is horrified- Logan is 2 years into a relationship with Celeste (that evil bitch), the spoiled daughter of the man that holds their rising star firmly in his slimy hands. These thoughts of hers must be squashed forever and never be revisited again!

This is the perfect setting for an exciting, angsty and emotional friends to lovers romance that did 'rock me senseless'! Plenty of rollercoaster drama, steamy scenes sprinkled around for some added spice along with a few obstacles, misunderstandings, sadness and regret that will tangle you into the web of tough, badass Madison, who only shows her soft, vulnerable side to Logan. He understands her like no one else, he feels like comfort and home. They are so connected to one another, like the family they've been to each other all these years as neighbors, inseparable friends and band mates. Other people may come and go in their lives but they chose and need the other to feel whole and cherished.

A few tests of their lifelong friendship are here in this story to stir up some feelings for the reader as well as these two clueless people who really do belong to each other. Blind soulmates, someone smack them please! I wanted to do just that a few times but even more, I hoped Mads and Logan would finally lift their heads out of the sand of denial and admit what everyone around them has known for years-LOVE, sweet love, it's theirs for the taking!

I loved this one and will definitely have to read more from Alyson Hale in the future. I've already have a few picked out! Recommend!

Rocked Senseless is a tightly written rock romance. Twenty-six-year-old Madison Daley and Logan Young have been best friends for fifteen years. Logan’s mom moved their small, broken family to South Carolina after Logan’s dad was sentenced to prison on prostitution charges. His mom wanted a fresh start, unfortunately distant her Korean-American parents, but without the stigma of her husband’s crime. Their relocation brought young Logan in contact with Madison, who was living with her grandparents, Nana and Papa while her indie-rock bandmate dad travelled with his group. Madison and Logan bonded in the hot summer heat of the south, and both turned to music as their outlet. Logan—Drummer Boy and Madison—Cricket with her voice and composing skills, became each other’s strength. The goth girl and the model-handsome boy opposites have each other’s back.

Now located on the West Coast, their band composed of the two friends plus Jay and Dalton are on their first professional tour when in a post-concert drug-induced high, Madison takes a dive off the stage, and for five days, is in a coma. Logan never leaves Madison’s side. During that wait, Logan confronts again his dark secret—that he loves Madison, and not just as a friend, and he has loved her for twelve years. Not able to shake that new knowledge of her attraction for Logan, and having it confirmed by her best female friend, Ana, as obvious, Madison has to acknowledge that she loves Logan. But, he can never know—his current girlfriend is Celeste Norman—Malibu Barbie and wicked witch, but daughter of Trevor Norman, owner of the record label that is representing their group.

Very few writers are able to tie a storyline tighter than Alyson Hale has done in Rocked Senseless. Carefully plotting the friends to lovers story of Madison and Logan, she provides perfect closure for the reader answering the questions asked first in the opening pages of the story. She offers an engaging read filled with the tensions of the friends becoming lovers and trying to find their path to each other.

Madison and Logan are members of a rock band who have been friends since childhood. Madison's ill-fated stage dive lands her in the hospital, where she and Logan are beginning to realize just how deep their feelings are for each other; but taking their relationship to a romantic place could ruin a beautiful friendship and destroy the band if things don't work out. This sexy best friends to lovers romance has likable characters and LOTS of drama. I enjoyed it very much.

I'm not sure there's not a more dramatic way to fall in love than a stage dive gone wrong, and frankly, I laughed just a bit when it was revealed but not too much. See, twenty-six year old Madison Daley & Logan Young have been best friends for 15 years, and grew together as musicians. He's the drummer for their band, while she's the voice & lyrical genius. They're opposites in looks, but perfect together for that forever love, though there are big hurdles to overcome. They're finally on their first professional tour, when Madison dives off the stage after a concert while on a mind altering high, and ends up in a coma for 5 days. During this time, Logan never leaves her side, and finally realizes that he's deeply in love with his best friend. There's just a couple of problems, one being the girlfriend he has, who won't take it lying down, and the fact that when Madison wakes up, she can't remember him. Those are some pretty big hurdles which made for some great drama, and a big push & pull in the coming days. She's told by her other best friend, Ava, that she's in love with him, but there's that girlfriend of his, the daughter of the owner of the label who signed their band. And again, she's awful so isn't going to put up with Logan leaving her for another woman. Rocked Senseless definitely gripped me from the get go, holding my attention hostage until I finished every last page. Alyson Hale took me for a crazy, frustrating, and amazing ride that I didn't want to stop to be honest. So one may ask, how does it all pan out?! One click this rockin' journey to find out! This book is unlike the books I usually go for, it's raw and doesn't follow your traditional love story. Rocked Senseless comes with many ups and downs that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that'll have you crying one moment and laughing the next.

Madison can be reckless but she would say adventurous and after a stage dive gone wrong she wakes up with temporary amnesia. During this few minutes she thinks her best friend Logan is her boyfriend however, she soon remembers that she can't ever cross that line so this book follows their friendship moving onto more.

Logan has been hopelessly attracted to his best friend for years but with the complication of Celeste who holds their careers in her hand he has kept his want in control. After he finds out Celeste is cheating all the control he had went out the window and he pursues his best friend hoping she feels the same way. Problems arise when Celeste starts blackmailing Logan and this is when the drama begins.

Their relationship isn't like others, there are times when they argue and make up and each time their relationship built on friendship gets stronger and while for a hopeless romantic like me this can be frustrating I appreciate that not all relationships are perfect and if I were to read one with ups and downs it would be one so raw and honest like this one.

I recommend this book to anyone who's tired of your traditional route to finding love and is looking for a book about love with troubles that'll have your heart racing the whole time.

This author is new to me. I was looking at the ARCs on Booksprout and saw this book and took a chance that a copy was available. I am so glad I did. I've discovered a great story and a new author. This book is about friends first and foremost. They happen to be in a band together. Rock musicians! Yes! My favorite characters. These people aren't stars yet. They have a new record deal and at the beginning of the story, they are on their first tour. Madison is their lead singer, and Logan, her best friend since middle school, is the drummer. Logan's girlfriend is part of the reason they have a record deal as her father owns a prominent label. But the woman is craaaaazzzyyyy. And unpredictable. And that's just one story going on. Madison was dared, by her bandmates, to dive off the stage at one of their concerts. And she did! And she cracked her head open, leaving her in a coma for 5 days. When she woke up, some internal barrier guarding feelings about Logan came down, and she found herself looking at him beyond friendship. He was sexy, and hot, and looked good enough to kiss! Say what was she thinking!!!?? Madison's fall had opened up a whole new can of worms! She wondered how Logan felt???? Read this captivating story from a delightful newly discovered author.

I’d love to give this story more but I’m fussy with rockstar romances, I guess. A lot of the elements I expect in this genre was missing and I found some of a little boring. But that’s just because I’m fussy, other will probably love the way it’s written, it just wasn’t for me. This was more a contemporary romance for me.

The characters were okay, though I found Maddison to be a little melodramatic and Logan to be a bit of an idiot. But they were great together. We only see the secondary characters very rarely and this book really is centred around Maddison and Logan, about their feelings and thoughts etc. I guess I feel I was missing all the story.

I did like the story, I’m definitely not saying I didn’t, I like the best friends-to-lovers stories and find them sweet and cute. And this really was one of those. It’s just I wanted more story. More rockstar. More secondary characters writing. Etc.

It’s a great storyline and touches on some deep issues, and ones that I can relate to wholeheartedly. But it was just missing too much for me to fully enjoy.

The writing style was good, maybe a little basic, but in places you can really feel like you’re part of the story and with the characters.

Felt as if I was missing something the entire storyline. This was a new author to me and while I enjoyed the book, I felt like it started pretty abruptly and without any backstory, which made it hard to follow along with because I felt like I was continually missing something. The book starts with Madison coming out of a coma from a botched stage dive, and her best friend/band mate Logan being at her bedside. Upon waking up, she thinks that Logan is her boyfriend but as she regains her memories, realizes who he is yet feels confused with her feelings of thinking he was more. While Logan has always had feelings for Madison, he continuously hides them away, until now. After a series of events and some blackmailing, the pair ends up realizing their feelings for each other and act on them. Throwing in some confusion and assumptions, everything ends up corrected and they are able to have a HEA while also keeping the band together and thriving.

5 still fanning myself stars!!! Wow... I never expected any of these feelings, but I have them!

I'll say that I came into this book totally blind... I had no idea what the book was about. And boy am I happy about that! I love a good rock star romance and this has all that and more! I was hooked the minute I started reading and two hours later when I was done, I was left speechless. But it was so worth it! If you love a good friends to lovers and rockstar romance, then this is the book for you!

A lovely friends to lovers romance.Rock musicians, Madison and Logan have been long-time friends but a freak accident lands Madison in hospital in a coma. When she wakes, all her breaks regarding not crossing a line with Logan seems to have disappeared. Giving in to their desires is mutual, yet both know that it is a rocky road they have just embarked upon. It isn't the best idea to annoy the father of the girlfriend who holds a record deal for the band in his hands. But the heart demands what the heart wants and the reader is taken on a sometimes rocky yet intense -including the language- trip. Both the characters were well developed and their interaction honest and steadfast leading to domestic harmony. It is a lovely book with a lot of heat and self-searching. We are rewarded with a HEA, that all romance readers love. I would highly recommend this book.

Madison bumps herself up good when she stage dives. Suffering temporary memory loss and she sees a good looking man in the room next to her...who is he?

He is Logan...her best friend who she has known for 15 years and who she has helped find himself over the years, as he has done for her.

"It's complicated" is their theme song. Falling in love is easy but communication is very hard for these lifetime friends in matters of the heart. They do have a lot thrown at them. Manipulation, twists, unexpected loss and dealing with very real and sad issues help these two find that voice that tightens their bond.

Bits of humor, heart, love, understanding and friendship will hit home. Loved this story because the writing is real. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Woah. I don’t know what I was expecting but Rocked Senseless blew me away. It wasn’t your typical bad boy rockstar romance it was so much better. I laughed and cried and then I gasped and legit cursed a couple of times. There were so many twists and turns in this book that I was at the edge of my seat almost the entire time. I read it all in one sitting and couldn’t stop.

I just adore Logan and Madison. They are really great together. I can’t spoil anything for you but I can say that this is the first book I’ve read by the author and it certainly won’t be my last. I need you all to read it so we can girl talk about Logan. *dreamy eyes*

Overall, Rocked Senseless is a scorching hot, intense story that took me on a wild ride full of ups and downs and sideways and slantways and in ways I never expected. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Madison and Logan have been best friends for 15 years now they are in a band together and on the first leg of the tour at a concert Madison was dared to stage dive so she did and she ended up in hospital in a coma for 5 days. When Madison opened her eyes she saw Logan sitting next to her and she starts to see him in a different light he’s gorgeous and Madison looked at Logan like she wanted to eat him all up but Logan has a girlfriend Celeste who is crazy but it’s her father who has given the band their chance and has signed them up to their record label so Logan will have to be very careful with Celeste. I loved this story but boy did I hate Celeste talk about a manipulating bitch she was horrible but I was glad for the ending it made me happy and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Madison is the lead singer in a rock band, and when a stage dive goes horribly wrong, she is left in a coma for 5 days, and wakes with temporary amnesia. Logan is Madison’s best friend and has been for years, and as he never leaves her side, he is the 1st person she sees when she wakes up a tad confused. These two have undeniable chemistry, but there are complications to them being together. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a beautifully written story with drama, angst, and is a humorous and emotional roller coaster, which had me totally enthralled throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.

This was my first time reading this author and it was an awesome read. It's a different kind of rock star story. The characters and story pulled me in form the beginning. Logan and Madison were a hot and steamy couple. They were best friends and had feelings for each other that they never acted on. They are also in a band together with a record deal thanks to Logan's girl friend. When Madison falls off a stage she realizes that they are falling for each other. There's plenty of action, twists, turns, suspense, blackmail, secrets, chemistry and a hot and steamy romance you don't want to miss to see if they get their HEA!!!

Madison and Logan have been friends forever. In the same band. There for each other. When a mishap happening while on tour and Madison ended up in a coma for 5 days Logan never left her side. It took a major crisis to happen before Logan realizes he is in love with Madison. One big problem though, Logan has a girlfriend that is not willing to let him go. Madison wakes up and don't know who Logan is. What a twist to this plot. How do you think the girlfriend is going to feel about him being by Madison side thru this. This was a very entertaining read. Most definitely a page tuner! Great Job on this book.

This is the first book I have read from Alyson and now that I have read this one, I need to read the rest of her books. I’m a huge sucker for rockstar romance. While most bookworms collect book boyfriends, I’m different and collect book girlfriends. Saying that, Cricket is mine! :) Don’t get me wrong I love book boyfriends but too many women fight over them. Plus I love Cricket’s sassy goth nature. I only wish I could have her strength to stand up in front of people and sing. Her way that she doesn’t care what people think about her is something I strive for. I love this book and can’t wait to read more from Alyson.
