Second Hand Colt: A Western Adventure
“He’s nothing but a kid,” said the big man.
“Maybe so,” said Boot, “but I told you what I saw.”
“Was that before or after you started in drinking Boot? “
“Somebody ask him.” Looking at me he said, “can you do it again?”
“You mean shoot a bottle?” I ask him.
“Well that’s what you done last night ain’t it?”
“Sure I can,” I said, “but you fellows must be mighty hard up for entertainment around here.”
The big man shouted to the bartender, “give me an empty bottle.”
“Let’s go outside,” he told me and we walked out followed by every one of them in there. Even the bartender came from behind the bar and followed us.
The big man told another to take the bottle down to the end of the street. “Boot you tell him when he gets in the right spot.” When it was in place and the man had moved back out of the way the big man turned and asked me, “where’s your rifle?”.
“Don’t need it for this, “I said. Looking down the street I said, “the bottle’s laying different.”
He turned toward the other men and said, “and now the excuses start boys.”
Not liking his attitude, I drew fired and holstered that Colt before the shards of glass quit falling.

A VERY GOOD WESTERN READ & STORY!
This Story has lots of action & folks that I wish I could know!
There are happenings that are different from any other Western story's that I Have read! I really enjoyed this story & am looking forward to reading the next story (that I already have)! This Book is worth your time to read & to purchase! Enjoy!

A Good Surprise
I enjoyed a good surprise reading this book. It wasn't all blood and guts but "life" in between. Was pleasantly surprised by the ending. I would highly recommend this book.

Enjoyable
I found this book to be entertaining.
I enjoyed how it was written and the vocabulary was not offensive.
It is nice to read a book that has NO vulgar language in it.

A good, clean western story! Gunfights, trailing outlaws, love found and lost and found again. This book has all the earmarks of a a good story!

Good tale
This is a good story. The dialect seems pretty authentic and the plot is good with some twists.
There are some typos and grammar errors , but in my opinion , they added to the story. It was almost like hearing it around a fire or in a saloon from an old cowboy .

Not bad but it could be better. I found a bit of action especially when Sheriff Dan, meets the stagecoach, and he recognized a gambler Albert Meek, who worked the riverboats on the Mississippi River. A young woman also got off and headed toward the saloon. Sheriff Dan broke it down how the woman would signal him about the cards the players held. Sheriff Dan suggested they head for California, he heard the weather was nice this time of year.
Read it if you want, but you might be disappointed or maybe not. Different strokes for different folks.

GMG. has penned a western action adventure that starts in Southern Alabama then runs for four year on the Mississippi as the primary character becomes a gambler until he has a streak of bad luck, which causes him to head west where he becomes a small town Sheriff that protects the town from a Confederate gang. Then they find the hidden secret. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Unique.
A good book with lots of twist and turns. You will find that just about every chapter takes a turn from normal to the unusual. A lot of different things happen some good other stuff not to good some unique thinking.You're going to read about there friends that are different as can be. They find buried treasure and end up help the original town members and more.

Second Hand Colt: A Western Adventure
This was definitely a western with a few twists that I never saw coming, it had it all, an extremely smart man, strange happenings and even more inventive solutions for the problems. This author kept you on your toes for the whole ride. 👏👏BRAVO 👏👏 This is a great read!!!!

Hire a proof reader
The story was interesting and the initial premise seemed plausible. However, the ending was a little far fetched. Basically, a pleasant, quick read. The many grammatical errors just took away from the narrative and interrupted the flow of mental images. Maybe next time someone could check the writing before publishing.

Excellent story about justice
One of the best part of this book is how lifelike the characters are. The main character related well to the other people in the story. I recommend This book to everyone.

A very enjoyable read.
The author did a very good job building the characters and backgrounds Jim very plausible. I enjoyed the romantic part of the book because it was very human well thought-out. I hope to read more George M.

Grammar, punctuation,spelling and paragraph structure improvement would make reading much easier.
I did enjoy the book and will read others.

What A Different And Crackerjack Story
This was a Western in every sense. The plot takes you places you don't see coming. I also enjoyed the colerful cast of characters. It's an exciting and fulfilling read. I'm going to read the next one in the series.

Good book
There is no rape,murder,torcher,graphic sex or other sick stuff. There is ADVENTURE, FRIENDSHIP,HON ESTY,LOVE,and justice. A very good read!
