What happens if the greatest, most important love of your life gets completely removed from your memory?

Jonny is a normal, music loving twenty-something until a mugging robs him of his favourite guitar, along with almost six months of memories. Living on his own means that his family and friends can only help so much. Fortunately, his girlfriend Jenny is on hand to help him put the fragments back together. But is everything as it should be, or is there more to Jonny’s story than first meets the eye? He has to work out the truth before it disappears forever.

Fragments is an exciting mystery, not afraid of showing some humour. It touches on the pains and pleasures of performing live, siblings and lifelong friendship; mixing music with mystery, intrigue with indie and romance with rock.

If this book doesn't make you laugh AND cry, then you may well be a total sociopath. -Review

Nick Hornby better watch his back... Great summer read for anyone who can play Gsus4. -Review

To be honest, I think that this book is ace. And not just because I wrote it. Fragments covers an awful lot of the rights of passage into proper adulthood. It isn't about growing up, so much as growing into a proper adult. The book covers that through the medium of mystery and romance, all served with a dose of comedy.

In short, if you like music wrapped around a good mystery, then you'll not be far from satisfied with this book.

Do yourself a favour...

...and check this one out.

Jonny loses six months' memories after a blow to the head. His family and friends are there to help fill in the blanks this leaves, but something isn't right. Join him as he comes to terms with what transpired during his lost time.

A quote in the Amazon blurb for this book compares it to Nick Hornby and it isn't wrong. Recommended.
