This was a super interesting read. It combined real interviews with people who study artificial intelligence with a speculative fiction taking place in a not so distant future after a second American civil war. The way it was told is also super unique, and it is all available online for free!
Really cool idea. I'm still reading so I don't have a review yet, but since there is almost nothing about this book here, here's the deal: this is a novella available entirely online for free (link in the book's description). It was first published in 2019, I believe as a serialized newsletter, and is now available all together.
It's a futuristic (maybe sci fi? maybe speculative fiction? not sure yet) set in the year 2038 and is told entirely through emails and email newsletters. Another civil war has taken place, and the narrator is working to open a new Smithsonian museum about the history before that war - what we know today.
So far this seems super timely and relevant to the moment we're in right now. More when I finish.
