Streaming on Twitch: Lessons From Experience
One year from today you are live streaming full time on Twitch with twitch.tv. You are making enough money to pay all your bills from subscribers and donations in bits. How did you do it? First, you found this book and read all of it in a day. Next, you immediately began applying the suggestions on your own Twitch channel and started streaming every day. Despite not immediately getting the huge response you hoped for, you knew from reading this book that persistence and innovation would pay off. Every day you asked a few friends to come watch your stream on Twitch and within a month you made affiliate.
Ten months ago as a Twitch affiliate you made your first $100 in one month and you were certain that continuing to try would yield enough to go full time within a year. The next month you earned $200 and by six months in you made your first $1000 in a month. With a strong community established including hundreds of subscribers and moderators, you hit the home page one day and earned $1000 in a single day from bits and new subscribers while coincidentally the most amazing moments so far on your stream happened.
Three months ago you were feeling a little unmotivated as growth continued steadily but the success of the homepage stream had not come back again. At over $3000 a month from hundreds of subscribers and regular donators, you are earning enough money to not need another job but still not enough to make significant upgrades and hire some help for the stream. Jerry doesn't really have a huge Twitch channel and you'll also need to endure some honest selling of his stuff along the way.
BUT, he transfers a lovely message and has tons of energy. I liked a lot of his points & detailed insights. I learned things that I now can experiment with, not only on Twitch but also in life.
