Snow: A Love Story Birthed In The Streets
A love story that was fueled by cocaine and birthed in the streets...

They say life comes at you fast and for Snow and Zo 2018 was not their year! In fact it was the year Snow went from having it all to literally having her world turned upside down. As the hood’s princess, she was the envy of everyone around her as she was doted on by her father. Whatever she could think up was hers and you couldn’t tell her ish. Gearing up to start college with her two besties, Snow was hit with a blow so hard that it rocked her world and stripped her of all life’s comforts in the process. Now at the lowest point in her life she can’t seem to come up for air long enough before she’s pulled back under.
Zo’s world wasn’t much different. Where Snow had it all and then nothing, Zo never had it to begin with. Fresh out of jail he is struggling to get back in his feet only to end up in a situation that leaves him fighting daily for a better life for him and his son. Just when you saw a glimmer of hope with Zo’s situation, life said “just kidding” and snatched it away.
My heart went out to these two as they struggled to find their way while caring for those that depended on them. There was soooo much going on in this story! True to Jessica’s signature style, it was raw and gritty and no one was spared from the wrath of her pen. Book one left me with so many questions. Will Snow find out the truth about her mom? Will she finally let Zo in? What’s going to happen to Zo? Lawd Bae and Killian! I mean whew this was a ride! I’m anxious to see how things will play out in book 2 but I have no doubt Jessica will bring it all together.

Surviving the Struggle
It's been so long since I've read a book by Jessica Watkins but I will say that I throughly enjoyed it. If I didn't read that lil note at the end I would have been in my feelings because I did feel like Azu had to many secrets and made Dawn look like the bad person. I swear I wanted to literally JUMP in the book and beat Joyce a$$ when I realize what she was doing just to get a high and I have a feeling Kelly is going to try asking for a ransom for Zo to get his baby back. Who would have thought Dex would steal from him bestfriend the minute he died. I felt to bad for Snow because everything was coming at her all at once first Bae, then Azu, Dawn, and then Tristan it's like she wasn't catching a break until she met Zo and it worked out for both of them. My heart and soul was with Zo the entire book because even though he was struggling and homeless he was still trying and manage to be a great dad. I just know this can't be the end for Zo and you can't possibly have Snow go through yet another heartbreak when she was finally feeling okay about the previous ones. Just when Bae get good news now this C.O comes and trying to get her in more trouble. Great read about to read the finale

This was a very good beginning to series as Snow and Zo's circumstances were well described as their situations seemed to change overnight. Great characters and storyline and stunning ending has me looking forward to next part

The ugly cry
When Jessica wrote this book her only goal was making sure her readers would cry like they actually lost their family members. Listen, I love her book but this right here had me clutching my pearls and taking a 5 minute break to continue. It’s a classic and I’m sure part two will satisfy our need for the final happy ending for them.

Amazing
The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because the error of confusing Zo and Snow by name. It was a bit confusing. The story line was great and I like that it touched on mental issues but it never got to the root of what caused it in the first place. I felt so much for Snow she was looking at every angle but somehow turned it around with the hustling spirit of her dad. When things are going too well something is bound to happen and that's exactly how the book ended. That moment had me like noon I please don't do this. So now I'm going to check out part 2.

You not from Chicago unless you live in Chicago
One thing I hate about people is when they are repping Chicago but lived in every city but Chicago.. Englewood AINT CHICAGO.... INDIANA AINT CHICAGO EITHER... if somebody ask you what city you from you literally can not say actual Chicago then baby YOU AINT FROM CHICAGO. That really irks my nerves. Snow was annoying, how you get in a mans game and not think you needed security? She was stubborn and that was annoying... How you got everybody not liking the mama? Why not bring the fact that this man had AIDS and gave it to the mother. Why you could bring out people who had it and make his funeral drama filled with people coming out saying he gave them that stuff? Do stapphany got it?? I cant stand that the mother was placed in a bad lighting. No good stuff really happened in this book, no excitement or nothing.. it was just aw ok. Humps shoulders, starch head. Idk

Page turner
I need part 2 immediately. I felt so bad for Snow. I wish she would have learned why her mom did what she did. I think that was only the missing element for me. Snow felt so highly of her dad, I wonder if that news would have affected how she handled things. That ending got me....I hope Jessica is not about to do what I think she is.

Pretty good book
This was a pretty good book. I enjoyed the storyline. Snow was a little annoying. My only issue with the book was the editing. Some of the names were mixed up. Other than that it was good. Now to book 2.

Good read. Definitely will read the next one to see what happens. My only draw back is the editing, there were quite a few times the names were mixed up, but I got the picture.

I was so sad about Bae, now she's being harassed in prison.... something needed to be done with C.O Jackson, because he was doing entirely too much. How C.O Jackson had that much power, was sickening, and he needed to be brought down a notch, along with Zo, and Snow's many other haters. Joyce and Kelly needed to be dealt with also. I can't believe that Joyce asked to watch her own grandson with ill intentions. Kelly haven't had Cameron all this time, I didn't understand what she wanted him for now.
Zo is going to go berserk, when he realizes that his son is gone. I loved how he loved his son, and Snow, and hopefully one day, Snow will realize that Zo was always team Snow. Zo was so much like Azu, that Snow didn't even realize it. He was loving, caring, an amazing protector, a provider, and an excellent father. Zo and Snow made a really good team. I just hope that Zo nor Snow let the money go to their heads, or let anyone come in between their partnership.

Listened to the audible version. It’s a great book wrong narrator to read the actual book. Joyce definitely needs her take whooped for saleing her grandson for heroine. I feel so bad for Bae because she didn’t deserve to be convicted especially for helping her friend. Snow mannnn wow where do I begin she goes from losing her mother mentally to losing her father by her mother milking him. Which in turns Azu definitely had secrets which didn’t help much of nothing. Snow also lost her best friend/first love to being initiated into a sorority at his school. Snow lost it all at the hands of her fathers “wife” including her truck snows fathers friend stole from him after he died which is crazy to snows brother getting arrest for 2nd degree mother. And possibly losing Zo from getting shot. Zo has also been through a lot from experiencing homelessness, his mother being an addict, while trying to do right by his son. So excited to read Snow 2 the finale.

I hate what happened to Bae. She was only trying to protect her friend. I hope like hell she get out of the situation she is in before things get worse. Nobody knew that Dawn was suffering in silence behind Azu and his cheating. It lead to unforeseen circumstances that changed Snow and her siblings lives. Snow was angry at her mother when in fact. She should have seriously been angry with her father. Snow really didn't know her father like she thought she did. I was sad about what happened to Tristan. I admire Zo strength and patience. It was sad to see what he was going through but he persevered. Zo is really good for Snow. He is helping her to mature. Zo may be a street dude but he has a good heart. However his good heart lead him to trusting his mother with his son. Something he shouldn't have done. Joyce and Kelly are trifling as hell

Poor Snow. She takes loss after loss. For her to be so young Snow makes her way to not only take care of her but her siblings to. This was a great story. I listened on audible and the narrators did a great job. My heart went out to Tristan because that was the one thing I did not expect. As far as Bae I know she’ll be coming home. She has too. With the way book 1 left off I already know book 2 is going to jump off. I like the blossoming relationship of Snow & Zo. Zo a real one and for once I want Snow to have a happy ending.

Man this book was so good I was hooked from the very first page😩😩😩. This is a new to me author and I can’t wait to dive into more of her catalog.
This story was the epitome of when you think you have it bad others have it worse and when you think you’ve hit rock bottom but even rock bottom has a basement. Kenzo and Snow just kept taking hit after hit after hit and my heart was crying for them both. I was rooting for them so hard. I just want them to win.
Can’t wait to see how she continue this story in the second book because the cliffhanger send my pressure through the roof 😩😩😩.

I love the loyalty that Zo gives! Also the wheel power and fight to not give up no matter the obstacle! He’s respectful and a complete man of his word! He’s a man of love, loyalty, honor and respect! He’s a protector and a great provider who doesn’t forget who’s been there and he lives to show and give his gratitude. I’m going to have my sister and friend buy this book.

This book is a mystery read. OMG, I can't wait to get into book 2. I can admit I secretly fall totally in love with Zo. Yes, I know it's a book. However, my goodness, he is what I call a 100 % true meaning of
a real Thug gentleman. I just know all he'll is about to hit the fan in the coming book. Thank you, Jessica, for giving me something that I enjoyed instead of something I felt is what every other author is writing.

WOW
I gave this book five stars because this book had me from page one. I felt sympathy for the characters and what they were going through. I also felt rage and hurt as well as pride when the book took a turn in a good direction. I am very much so happy that I picked up this book by: Jessica N. Watkins this is the first book that I have read by her and it won't be the last.

I loved this book and I can't wait to start part 2. Snow couldn't catch a break and she deserves so much happiness. Zo was everything a girl could want and he as well as Snow couldn't pull himself out of a hole. And then Joyce comes along and ruins that. I can't wait to see how this turns out for the 2.

It's Zo doing whatever he can to provide for his son. I love reading about our black men stepping up and showing what fatherhood looks like. Well done Ms. Watkins!!!!!!!

Mannnn it’s official. JW is officially one of my favorite authors. This book was so refreshing. Since the beginning I was voting for Zo. My heart hurt at the end and I’m starting part 2 right now. I love how Snow bosses up! Great read!

I’m so mad at Kelly, Joyce, and Officer Johnson. I hope that Zo is alright, b/c Snow is going to flip the bleep out is she looses someone else. Oh, I loved that you put the book on audio.

Phenomenal!!! This author has become one of my favorites!!! From When my soul met a thug to this!!!! Omg Jessica Watkins is a true gem. From the moment I opened this book it was 🔥. Straight page turner. On to part 2😍

It's seems like Snow just can't catch a break, this is one of the saddest books I've read, it's like Snow just takes one hit after another, I hope she come out on top in the finale and Azus wife needs to be dealt with.

Great book! Definitely a page turner. Keeps you wondering what’s happening next. Minor errors with the proofreading like Snow being called Zo and vice versa but if you’re really reading you can tell what the writer meant.

great read
I loved everything about this story minus the typos on kindle ! I love how Snow always did what had to be done and how Zo looked out for Snow.I can’t wait to read the next book !
