Not for me
I like the first one, it wasn’t a 5 star read but it was cute. I just couldn’t get into this one. The couple broke up because their parents got married. They were dating first so it seemed like a stupid reason to me, something time might have taken care of. If the heroine hadn’t broken up with him (a guy she dated for two years!) and immediately jumped into bed with a guy he couldn’t stand. She was in high school, so it just seems extra sleazy. She got pregnant and broke his heart, yet it didn’t seem like she cares about him. She stayed with the other guys having more kids with him. 3 kids in under 6 years. I cannot believe realistically that she ever gave a crap about the H after that. There is some lip service to her feelings in the present, but actions speak louder than words. I’m left with the thought that he deserves (and should do) better.

Years later Lee is back in his hometown and the connection and chemistry between he and Tilly is stronger than ever. He wants a second chance but Tilly’s life is much different as she is now a single mother to three children. Will this be their second chance or is the past and their very different lives too much to overcome?
This is a sweet and sexy story that will not only have you laughing out loud but is heartwarming as well. It is a story about love and family between two people who were meant to be.

JB does it again, there hasn't been a book of hers that I didn't love, and this one was no exception! Silver Bush is downright cute, funny and super romantic.
Lee is every woman's dream, he makes sure to rectify a mistake that cost him dearly, and Tilly is a Wonder Woman, with three kids by herself, she deserves some happiness in her life.
This book will make you sigh, laugh and fan yourself all at the same time, congrats JB, you did it again! I'm super proud of you! <3

Yet again JB has hit it out of the park with her new romcom page turner! I loved the dynamic between Lee and Tilly but what was even better was the way Lee was with Tilly’s children. The glimpses of previous characters in the series, Reagan and Charlotte were a fabulous addition but my favourite by far was the introduction of Reagan’s protege! Hilarious!! This wonderful book was an easy read that I didn’t want to put down (sorry kids!).

Silver Bush is a short and sweet romcom that showcases a second chance romance of a single mom. Her kids are a hoot and bring life into this story as they try and figure out their new family dynamics.
I greatly enjoyed the entire family interactions and how the ex, and his mother, genuinely wanted Tilly to be happy. There was no sabotage, or hurt feelings.

I loved this friends to lovers romantic comedy, mixed with a bit of taboo. The author never fails to write fantastic stories with characters you can’t help but fall in love with. I found myself so engrossed in this story that I didn’t even realize how quickly time flew. In fact I laughed so hard at times it woke my dogs and husband. One not to be missed and the tidbits you can learn are certainly worth it as well.

Another great read from j.b Heller down right hilarious! This is the 3rd book in the awkward series and it’s about Tilly! The advice char gives tilly is funny

This was such a surprise read for me. I have not read anything from this author before and I really enjoyed this book. This was a great story filled with nothing but love and laughter. It was completely drama free and such a pleasure to read with its sexy scenes. This will not be my last book from this author.

This is the third book in the Awkward series that I really liked.
This book has a second chance trope. This book is really special and has * almost * a kind of taboo (but only almost because it is a step-brother and they became step-sibling *after* they were a couple when they were young)
Lee has always loved Tilly. They were a couple and loved each other until their parents decided to get married – her mother and his father got married.
Tilly could not think of the so-called taboo of – step-brother – and ended their relationship. To show him she was serious, she ran into the arms of someone else. Lee was broken and left the city.
Tilly’s kids were a great addition to the book! Sailor was a real sweetie—4-year-old boy with OLD SOUL – really adorable.
Lee was amazing. He loved Tilli very much when they were teenagers, yet he still loves her and even more six years later.
It’s possible to understand Tili’s dilemma and think if you would not react the same?

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Silver bush is book three in the ‘’awkward’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and hilarious. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Tilly and Lee was once a young couple in love. When their parents got together, married and had a baby, Lee and Tilly went separate ways. Six years later and Tilly is a single mother of three kids. Lee is back in town and soon as he sees Tilly again, he decides he is getting his girl back.
The chemistry between Lee and Tilly is clear to see and I loved them together. They made a cute couple.
I really liked Tilly’s kids, especially Sailor!

This book was amazing and had so many of my favourite tropes wrapped in one - best friends, step-siblings and second chance.

Throw in Tilly's 3 children and moments with the girls from the previous books and it was an awesome, quick read and I loved every minute of it.

Let’s not forget Tilly’s awesome friends who support her every step of the way. These characters are fabulous as in every JB Heller book.
With the perfect amount of passion, fun and a rollicking great story, Silver Bush is a wonderful addition to an already amazing series.

I just want to say that I really appreciated the positive, involved, co-parenting relationship Tilly had with her ex-husband Curt. Gia, Tilly’s ex-mother in-law was a doll, and the kiddos were cute. Tilly and Lee were blah, they broke-up when they were seventeen because Tilly’s mom and Lee’s dad got married and Tilly couldn’t deal with the ick factor. Lee moved a way leaving them separated for six years and then they just seemed to pick-up where they left off. Lee jumps right into family life with Tilly and the kids; everything is smooth sailing and then scene. I don’t necessarily mind easy especially for a novella length story but they never even really addressed the hang-ups that Tilly had that caused her to end the relationship the first time.

Super funny and sweet! How do you handle things when the love of your life becomes your step sibling? Yep, you freak the F out! However, when what you two have is true love, will you let the step sibling stuff get in the way? Well, Tilly and Lee split up because their parents screwed things up royally for these two. Three kids and six years later they are going to see if they can make it work. Tilly is a divorcee with three kids and her stepbrother, Lee, wants to be her baby-daddy too! The chemistry between these two is palpable and you know they truly love each other. The extra craziness the kids bring to the party is soooo pure and sweet. The banter and wit with the entire crew is sure to keep you turning the pages with a smile on your face.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 3rd book in the Awkward series. The romcom is the perfect mix of funny and sweet.
Tilly and Lee were best friends turned lovers. That is until their parents decided to get married and they thought it was too weird to be dating your step sibling.
Six years and three kids later Lee is back in town and of course the first time Tilly sees him she's wearing his old shirt and miss matched shoes. Just a look her way and sweet smile to her kids has all those old feelings coming back.
This book was a quick but super funny with the sweetest HEA ending. Loved it.

This book could have been really good, but it felt like everything was sped up.
I liked Lee and Tilly, but their second chance was very quick. They didn’t really spend much time together, and just sort of continued from where they left off in the past.
I really liked how happy and friendly everyone was in this book. It was very refreshing, especially seeing Tilly’s ex-mother-in-law being supportive of Tilly finding someone.
The kids were funny, but they were only shown in short scenes.
I think that this book could have been great, if it was longer as there weren’t enough details. I might try the other books in this series, specifically Reagan’s book.

Oh my, this series is THE BEST! Lol. I absolutely loved Tilly and Lee but little Sailor stole the show. He's a mini Reagan!! 💙

When Tilley and Lee were 17 and in love, planning their future, Lee's Dad and Tilley's mother got married and got pregnant leaving Lee and Tilley to call everything off. But then Tilley got pregnant by a boy waiting in the wings. Now six years later, with three kids, she's been divorced for a while when Lee comes back to town for a couple of weeks for his mother's wedding. The rom-com begins! Imagine Lee wooing Tilley with a three, four, and five years olds constantly at hand with a small town that knows everybody's business. Lots of fun. Highly recommended!

Här kan man snacka feelgood-bok på hög nivå. Allt är så positivt, gulligt och sött att det är ett under att det gick att komma igenom den utan hål i tänderna. Men, den klarar faktiskt att ändå hålla nån slags balans på rätt sida illamående-gränsen och dessutom leverera en underhållande story. I huvudsak tack vare sarkastiska inte monologer och smågalna bi-karaktärer som bryter allt då o då. Klart väldigt lugnande att läsa en bok utan hat och avundsjuka eller ångest och ilska. Australiensarna verkar ha fattat peace & love-budskapet fullt ut.

Oh my lord! What an amazing read to start my 2020. I’ve been slack with reading but this has kicked my butt into gear.
Strong, funny, relatable with the right amount of passion, heartfelt reality and characters you can’t help but love and laugh at. I loved the energy and flow, it was easy and pleasant to read and I never wanted to put it down (damn you life for needing attention). I actually may have snort laughed 🤭

Rekindled love
Lee and Tilly were best friends, then lovers, then step-siblings! With the change in relationship, Lee left Fast forward 6 years and Lee has returned and they seem to pick up right where they left off. This is a hilarious story of rekindled love, second chances, and fun random facts! Loved the cameos from other characters in JB’s recent stories. Definitely worth the read!

This is a hilarious story of rekindled love, second chances, and fun random facts! Loved the cameos from other characters in JB’s recent stories. Definitely worth the read!

Funny, short and sweet are the three main words to describe this book. Tilley is hilarious and quirky and just plain likable and Lee is hot and just what she wants. Even though Tilly feels it’s not acceptable or the right thing she can’t help to love Lee and he love Tilly. After years of denying themselves happiness they finally allow themselves to be together and in love. The kids are an added bonus and the hilarious bonus you can’t help but love.

Loved it
I adored all three novellas in this series. While this one was shorter than the other two there was still an amazing amount of detail that was put into it. I relate so much to Tilly in the sense that I have three young kiddos and understand the craziness that comes with that . My current husband and I are one of those couples that got together at the wrong time then years later meet up again and the rest is history.

Sailor; my absolute favorite kid!!
I know that this was a love story between Tilly & Lee which was great, but her son Sailor totally made this book for me. That little boy was so smart & hilarious that I just couldn’t get enough of the scenes with him. He totally reminded me of Reagan & I would have loved for there to have been a scene with the two of them. Great story & lovely writing.
