From the international bestselling author of STOP THE WEDDING! (now a Hallmark Channel movie) and the wildly popular COMA GIRL serial comes a new story of comedy and small-town grit:
FACTORY GIRL Long hours, low pay, and big dreams...
Hi there. I'm Hattie Morehead, and for a 19-year-old, I've screwed up my life pretty good so far. I grew up in a town in Tennessee the size of a mud puddle, and I'd planned to be somewhere else by now doing something important. Instead I got myself pregnant, dropped out of high school, and took a job at the same sewing factory that sucked the life out of my mother and my grandmother.
My relatives are shady, my friends are freaks, and my romantic prospects are dim. But this small-town girl has big dreams: Someday I'm gonna get out of here. Someday everyone will know my name. Because someday instead of sewing designer clothes for minimum wage, I'll have my own clothing line.
I admit, at times that day seems far, far away. But I'm gonna make it happen. I simply have to.
For now, I'm hanging in and hanging on... by a thread. _______________________
This FACTORY GIRL, Part 2 novella is a month's worth of daily segments: AUGUST
The Part 1 novella is JULY, Part 2 is AUGUST, Part 3 is SEPTEMBER, Part 4 is OCTOBER, Part 5 is NOVEMBER, part 6 is DECEMBER.
(In total there are 6 parts to FACTORY GIRL.)
Don't miss out on this funny, poignant story everyone is talking about!

OTHER multi-part serials by Stephanie Bond:
COMA GIRL, parts 1-6 You can learn a lot when people think you aren't listening. TEMP GIRL, parts 1-6 Change is good... but not great. COMEBACK GIRL, parts 1-6 Home is where the hurt is.
USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.
Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.
In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,
Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.
i always enjoy stephanie bond's serial series. i like to wait until the whole story comes out though. i know that kind of defeats the whole serial part- but i still think the low-key, jut a few pages a day is a good format. doesnt take much to get me into her characters.
So a secret could be revealed and a possible romance for Hattie craziness. A custody battle would suck and would family power ruin a family relationship? I'll have to read the next one for an answer
Gaaa!!! So much is happening right now in Hattie's life! The decisions she is facing are enough to drive you crazy. I know, though, that she will make the right ones for herself and Jake. Hopefully, she doesn't get hurt in the end. I'm pulling for you, Hattie!
I love Stephanie Bond's strong heroines and the fact that they are struggling women who refuse to settle for the status quo. Factory Girl is no exception, with its scrappy teenaged, blue-collar, single mom taking center stage. Seems like most chick kit features someone in publishing/marketing/law who has every advantage in life but still can't get it together. Stephanie's characters are genuine and the dialogue and emotions are authentic. I love seeing the underdog succeed through grit and determination, not Prince Charming. Give this series a try -- you won't be disappointed.
I've been a Stephanie Bond fan for years. The Factory Girl has a little bit of everything you've been looking for in a series. Romance, hateful rich people, group of friends who have lots of life giving them lemons but making lemonade. Can't wait for the next installment!
Love these series by this author! Even if you’ve never lived this life, you experience it personally through the author’s storytelling. So many big, and little (because who wouldn’t love a little boy like Jake?!) plot lines and human conditions...I can’t wait to see what happens next! On to Book 3 ;)
These books are so good. I was gonna wait till December to start reading so I could read them back to back....well that obviously didn't happen. I'm going to be done with all but the last one and have to wait to see what happens. Lol. Oh well. It will be fine. Keep up the good work Stephanie Bond!!
I was hesitant to start because Hattie is only 19 and thought the story might be to ‘young’ for me, but I was wrong! I loved the first 2 and can’t wait for the 3rd to come out!
I am just loving Factory Girl serial, how the characters are written are great and you never know what to expect next, it's really getting good! The ending for August was awesome, looking forward to September!!
This is a daily serial and this is month #2. Each “chapter” is one day. It is a lot of fun! Hattie is a single mom with a 3 year old son. She works at a sewing factory. No one else knows who her son’s father is. There is a lot of interesting things going on in Hattie’s life! Very enjoyable!
this is the second series (Coma girl) i have read by Stephanie Bond, love them! Light entertaining easy reads with strong women characters Planning to finish this series and start another
