The Indignities of Isabelle

Rate this book
Nineteen-year old Isabelle is a refined youngwoman of cultish tastes and a deep sexual yearning, which she's yet to reveal. The pleasures of domination and the female form are obvious to her, but now, in her first year at university, she's set to discover that there are many more excitements of the flesh. Isabelle's sensual education is about to begin. A Nexus Classic.

Isabelle Colraine leaves her family's Scottish estate and heads off to college at Oxford, where she majors in indulging her favorite fetishes, mainly spanking other girls and playing dress up with a vintage clothier. Through him she meets a corsetiere, Jasmine, and her slave, Caroline. Isabelle loves spanking Caroline, but Jasmine has other plans for Isabelle, she wants her to be her slave. Isabelle is soon being put through her paces, submitting to Jasmine and basically having to do whatever, and whomever, Jasmine wants. Isabelle, though, can't discard her dominate ways and is soon looking for a way to dominate both Caroline and Jasmine. Will she succeed? Will she fail and become Jasmine's slave?

Out of all of the Nexus smutty book authors, Penny Birch is the best selling, and it's easy to see why. The scenes in this one are scorching hot and always seem to have an element of playfulness, with no hard edge to them at all. I also like that she makes it a point to describe the protagonist's emotions during the action, where most author's just describe what is happening to the body and forget about the mind's contribution. This is the first Penny Birch book that I've read and I definitely plan on reading the rest of the 'Isabelle' series, of which there are three so far. Highly Recommended!
