This was a lot of fun. It's based on a YouTube channel I've never watched, but the idea is that the parents get trapped in a video game and the kids go in to rescue them, but first they need to beat a few games and their bosses. It is meant to be fun. The art is very good, especially when there's action. Lots of detail and variety.

I read this book with my boys. They loved it. It was a good story and was suitable for my kids ages 6-8. They love this show and we watch it daily.

My 7-year old read this book and then begged me to read it aloud to him because he wanted me to enjoy it with him. He loved the story, laughed out loud, and pored over the illustrations. I would never choose to read a book based on a YouTube gamer family if not for my son, but I can see the appeal here.

Hard pass. Zero stars if I could. It'll go back to Barcelona library tomorrow.
This mediocre graphic novel begins with adults and kids slamming the door in the face of the fat, socially immature 'gamer brat' neighbor. He wanders back in for a tantrum and an eating joke at his expense because he doesn't understand that 'later' means 'you're not welcome here.' Spun off from a popular YouTube channel (that I've never watched), this is a reminder that popular doesn't equal good. I can imagine someone pitching the part of the story where the mother tries to rein in the father's intensity about gaming time so that it's fun for everyone. I even liked the idea of her designing a more mellow game to play together, but the rest was rubbish centering squabbling siblings and bad parental priorities. Kids who are inured to fictional fat children being dumped on might still like this, but it's sad if they do.

This book was pretty good; not great but still pretty good. It was about these parents who create a video game together, and it turns out to be super boring, and they get sucked in. Later on the kids play and get sucked in as well. Throughout the story, they go into different games, and have to do different tasks, in order to beat the boss and save their parents. I liked the idea of kids/people going into a video game, as well as it being a graphic novel; however, I do think the story could have been a tad bit more organized, or not in so many places, that you may forget certain things. Other than that, it was pretty good

I found this to be a rather interesting story about a family that enjoys gaming but has a hard time actually enjoying it thanks to Duddy’s constant taking over the game from the kids. They learn that they need to respect one another as gamers as well as a family to defeat the final boss. The family felt realistic, bickering, taking care of, and playing with each other, and I was able to relate to them very easily. The artwork was fun and the expressions were great as well in this book.

Read with my grandson.
Rating is his ~ he gives it 5 stars
good illustrations, he enjoyed the story line, the print was a good size for a 1st grader to read.
I wasn't impressed with the story but I am not a 6 year old boy, but it was fun to watch him get excited about a book that was more than 30 pages long.

This book is amazing its about 4 child's going in an adventure to save there parents who some how went inside the T. V. and try t escape the villain fish and crab. There adventure ended in a bad way in real life. don't play to much games unless what happened in the book will happen to you unless your me.

This family is a favourite in our house hold and we were very excited to read this book of theirs. Full of fun and adventure. Looking forward to reading the rest of their books. Keep up the good work fgteev!

For Christmas my son asked for this book. After he opened it Christmas morning we began going back and forth between the first two in the series. The graphics and adventure pulls a kids attention in and keeps it.

My kiddos LOVE the FGTeeV family's youtube channel. So when I bought this book, they read it right away. My 4 year old son wanted me to reread the book to him, so I did. Honestly, I enjoyed this story. It's full of adventure, fun, and the family working together.
