Lust

Rate this book
Plentiful. Enjoyable. Disposable.

Women were like toys to me, and I wasn’t at all ashamed to say so. I worked hard and deserved to enjoy my possessions. Those who discredited me for my attitude didn’t know a thing about life or how to live it.

Money. Motorcycles. Women.

They were all possessions in my eyes, and I had no shame in taking what I wanted when I wanted it. Even though I wasn’t stupid, I usually spat caution in the wind when it came to sweeties. It wasn’t like anything would ever go beyond the first night.

Of course, leave it to Alexina to derail everything I thought I knew.

Lavinia originally grew up in Cheshire and now lives in a small village just outside of Edinburgh with her husband, two children and two fur babies.
Writing has always been something that Lavinia has loved since an early age.
Over the years Lavinia has faced many obstacles but this has only spurred her on. In 2017 Lavinia was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. She has chosen to not let this define her, if anything it has given her the drive to do more.

Lavinias Seven Deadly Sins Series has had the best start with Lust by Rene Folsom.

Nero didn’t have much respect for women. He used them. That is until Alexina. She’s just turned everything he thought and believed on its head.

I liked how Alexina came out of her shell.

Nero.. well I do love a bad boy lol

This is a short read, an ideal quickie before bed.

A life taken too soon this series is for Lavinias family. This author did her proud.

This was a fun read for me. One character so use to getting women anytime he wants that he only focuses on his needs and not that of his partner. The other character needed to be more social and put herself out there. They meet and are instantly drawn toward each other but spends a good bit of time fighting it and getting on each others' nerves. However, when they finally settling down and slow things down a bit, they find themselves enjoying that which is not normal to them. I good quick romance story. A must quick read.

Lusty, yet kind of sweet, sizzling erotic hookup. Or at least that's what it starts out as. Nero's used to being chased, not having to be the one that does the pursuing. He's never had to worry about getting whatever female he sets his sights on. Then he meets Alexina. Not the usual sweetie he's used to and is forced to change his ways if he's going to get what he wants.

A fast read, that while it reeved my engine, it also tugged a bit at my heart.

I put my hands up before I start, reading these books was one of the hardest things I have ever done, Lavinia was a friend and an author I respected, I had to suppress any emotions I may have had regarding the fact she did not get to write these stories herself.

Rene Folsom was a new author to me but I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading more from her. The characters are well written, and it is easy to identify with two people not looking for love but meeting a person who should be all wrong for them but ends up being so right. These books are more along the lines of short stories/novellas, so I consider it natural for the story to be a little faster paced than you might wish for but that is in part down to the amazing effort made by these amazing authors to honour Lavinia's wishes and finish this series for her.

Most of the authors seem to have used characters from their own series, spun off into this collection, so not only does that make these stories worth reading in their own right, but also as an introduction to a whole new series of books if you enjoy the writer's style.

I would have been absolutely devasted if I had not been about to give this full marks but I have no qualms hitting 5 out of five stars for this first book in the series.

This story was just OK for me. I guess with it being a novella (it took me about 40 minutes to read it), it's sometimes difficult to get more depth or background on the characters and, as a consequence, I found it difficult to connect with either of the main characters.

On a positive note, I liked the instant attraction Nero felt for Alexina, and the way she turned him inside out and behave out of character. I also liked his poetic view of a particular number that is important to him. Initially, I thought Alexina was possibly a shy girl who had to push herself out of her comfort zone, but as the story progressed, she was actually pretty gutsy and confident.

Overall, not a bad insta-lust story with a touch of vulnerability.

I think it is wonderful that seven fabulous authors are coming together to write Lavinia's deadly sins series. The first to be released is Lust which has been written by Rene Folsom and I would rate this novella 3.5 stars.

Short stories can sometimes be the hardest to write I feel. What I really enjoyed about Lust was the instant attraction between Nero and Alexina. The sexual chemistry between them worked perfectly with the title of this story and I enjoyed the effect that Xina had on Nero.... I think he was quite surprised at his response to her.

I urge you to read this short story and I cannot wait to see which deadly sin is released next!

This is the first book in Lavinia Urban's Seven Deadly Sins series. It is a novella. Now, if you are on social media, you know the reason this series is written by different authors. If you aren't on, Lavinia sadly lost her battle with cancer before she could write this series. The proceeds do go to her husband and children.

Rene does a great job of writing Lust. Nero and Xina are full of it. Right from the start.

You will be left wondering what happened to them after this book. I know I am!

Seven deadly sins. Seven fantastic authors. One Lavinia Urban

Lust... This sums the book up perfectly
It takes an incredible author to manage to write a short story and for it to work... And what a great success this was!
I'm not always a fan of short stories but I absolutely loved this book and are chopping at the bit for the rest!!!!

I would definitely recommend reading this short story not only because it's an awesome read but also for the fantastic reason this book and the following sins represent.

A great short read by René Folsom. It is the first time I have read this author and can't wait to read more.

Intense attraction brings two people together. Two people poles apart. But lust can do that to you.

I cN not wait to read the other books in the seven deadly sins series. This is for an amazing cause and a life taken too soon.

A nice short read by Rene Folsom. This nice little insta-lists story will keep you reading it the very end. Their attraction was on point. I enjoyed reading their story and wonder what happens to them and hope to see them at a later date.

A SHORT READ ADDED TO THIS SEVEN BOOK SERIES IN HONOUR OF THE LATE LAVINIA URBAN. IT WASN'T A BAD READ BUT COULDN'T CONNECT WITH THE CHARACTERS. INTENSE ATTRACTION BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS RELATES IT TO THE TITLE.
