4 STAR Spoiler Free Review for JKL by Kimille
She looked at him like he was crazy, as she applied her lip gloss. “Seriously? Ni##a it’s two things I never move without. That’s my Bible and my gun. Hell, I even sleep with both.” – JaCherry Kelanni Little
Listennnn when I tell you, the book opens dramatically and keeps that same energy until the very end. It starts with our female lead Kelanni setting a trap for Dax, the guy she’s been recently seeing.
The trap ultimately ends with the death of Dax at her hands. All is going according to plan until she leaves the police station and notices a dark-tinted SUV sitting across the street.
Soon after Kelanni finds herself being summoned over to the vehicle by Duke, Dax's older brother. Apparently Duke is looking for answers and he knows she has them. Not really feeling satisfied with her answers Duke eventually decides to keep Kelanni close. This of course only takes place after she catches another body of someone close to Duke; when Kelanni just so happens to take out his muscle for assaulting her friend.
JaCherry Kelanni Little, the gorgeous, red weave wearing beauty that is sexy but deadly when provoked is usually down when it comes to getting money. However, Kelanni is completely pissed when she is told that she will be working for Duke. So much so, that at first she first refuses to work with him. She soon realizes there is no escaping it and Kelanni finds herself as Dukes. . . roommate. LMBO! Oooooh the craziness that ensues!!
Seemingly, Duke is aware that he can be easily taken by Kelanni if he is not careful. Knowing this, he plays it cool and keeps his guard up around the beauty. Which is completely understandable...Duke MUST stay alert because he knows whatever happened to his brother could just as well seal his fate if he gives in to temptation when it comes to Kelanni.
Soon he perceives that the beautiful daring redhead has a misconstrued view of him. Nevertheless, Duke is A BOSS! The sooner she understands that the better.
Neither one of them is looking for love.
Both of them love getting money.
The attraction they share for one another grows by the day.
Eventually, all three elements collide Love - Money - and Attraction. Things move along with the couple and then tragedy strikes. Only this time with the victim being someone you least expect. Sadly, everything kind of goes dark between the two. Readers are left wondering how can they come out of the darkness.
Suddenly a new mission consumes both Kelanni and Duke. For him, it's total R&R, recover and revenge. For her, it's strictly revenge.
Why 4 Stars? I actually enjoyed a combination of things with JKL. The fierce, sexy but deadly female lead with Kelanni and the boss mode ultra alpha male in Duke. All of this blended with the dramatically suspenseful action-filled plotline. Thus making it a pretty good read! All in all, it's a fun read with some serious undertones in it. At least one scene should probably come with a trigger warning for anyone that experienced that kind of trauma. Just sayin. I do understand that trigger warnings can give away storylines but for some they are necessary.
Series: No. However, if you read the XYZ trilogy then you will be familiar with certain characters.
Recommendation: To all readers that love a strong fierce fiery female and solid Alpha males!

OMG Y'all This Book Does Not Disappoint!!!! JaCherry Kelanni Little is a savage and I absolutely loved her!!! She truly does not F around and whatever you do, don't call her out of her name. Her relationship with her sister was everything but too bad she didn't take heed to her sister's warning. She could have saved herself a lot of trouble and pain. Dia was Kelanni's best friend and her ride or die chick and Kelanni was a true friend all the way. Lust does not get you love sugar plum, and Dia had to learn that the hard way. DUKE HAD IT ALL!!!! I want one of him! He was all man. Sexy as hell, seductive, protective, loving, caring, funny....just everything you needed and wanted. Not only did we get the characters from XYZ that I fell in love with in this story, but we also got glimpses of Kreed and iYanna's wedding reception and I devoured those moments. I needed them. This story was full of non-stop action, betrayal, revenge, laugh out loud moments, steamy scenes and everything I hope for in a story. Don't sleep on this story or this author because you are truly missing out on some bomb ass stories and some fantastic ass characters that will leave you wanting more.

I think I say in this every review I do about this author and her work, but she is absolutely amazing. These are not cookie-cutter, run-of-the-mill stories. She writes as a real person with passion and emotions, making her stories and characters come alive on the page; you feel a genuine connection with these people.

JKL is about Ja’Cherry Kelanni Little. She is a bad ass, independent woman with a temper and you do not want to cross her. When her temper gets the best of her it forces her into an unexpected situation that she is uncomfortable with to say the least, but this may turn out to the best thing that’s ever happened to her.

I really enjoyed this stand-alone Author Kimille really brought it she didn’t disappoint I was happy to see Kreed & iYanna make a visit. I was scared for Duke & Kelanni aka Cherry they made a cute couple. I wanted to reach out and touch Dia ole jealous A$$ that’s crazy how envious she was of Kelanni.

Romance and suspense!
This is not a typical read for me. I MUST admit that I have no interest in the underworld and the men and women who love them. But this story, was dark, engaging and beautiful. The love that overcame the doubt (bc of the game), was so powerful. I never discuss plot, but this dude knew how lay his lick DOWN. The steamy sex!!!!!!!! All of the above makes this a good read.

Excellent Book
Kimille NEVER disappoint. JKL was awesome. Duke & Kelanni was perfect for each other. I was glad that she bought the characters from XYZ back. Cannot wait to read her next book.

Great Read
This story was sooooo good!!! It was a crazy love and the chemistry between Duke and Kelanni was undeniable. I enjoyed the storyline and it kept me wanting more... I definitely recommend this story!!

Get Into Ms. Kimille 🏆🏆🏆
I started reading this book because it was free.....and I love a bargain. But boy did I get more than I bargained for. I grew up on both sides of the law so I could probably relate better than most. Kelanni made her bold statement right from the jump that she was nothing to be played with. I thought I was the only woman who felt that strongly about being called out of my name. Duke's presence was huge almost before he said a full paragraph. He was a man's man who didn't mind talking his ish about love and who he loved. And he wasn't slow about marking...and protecting what he considered his. Dia was one of those super-friendly, extra-supportive jealous ass friends we've all experienced. She got just what she deserved! I did not see one mistake in grammar or punctuation in this book.....and that's rare for me. The storyline was believable and flowed seamlessly. The characters were well developed and human. Not only did I read a great book, I found an amazing author! I've already purchased all of her other books and I'm looking forward to more. And I think I might have even gained a new sisters friend❤

This story had my attention from beginning to end. Although there were times when I could see what was coming, it was thrilling to watch unfold. The last twenty percent though, that was unexpected. Truly enjoyed this read.

Mo' better!!!
I loved this story. Ms. Alphabet Author has done it again. I loved how the author incorporated X,Y,Z into this mix without overshadowing Kelanni's shine. It was also relatable when it came to the good and the bad times of relationships, including friendships. The moral of the story... Love conquers all!!!

Great book!!!!
Kamille does not disappoint. I hate it had to end. Duke and Kehlani was a perfect match. The heat was at level 10++++. I was happy that Kreed and Yanni and the others made an appearance.

Yes, yes, yes... I'm glad we got a bit of Iyanna and Creed's intertwine with some of this book. Now to give my review about this authors writing, let's just say no one should be sleeping on her. Huntieee when I tell you this book was the ish! I won't say too much, but purchase the book for yourself. I was glad to had read her XYZ series and you wouldn't want to skipped out on that one either. The characters were totally amazing and I could definitely be the Bonnie to Duke's Clyde. Kimille you did your thing again even if this was a standalone, you brought this to an end. I just wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I really wish I could give this book 10 stars. Author Kimille has done it again. She is a true writer and she puts her heart into the pen. I could not put this book down I literally was at stop lights trying to read lol....that dog on Dia I wanted too literally choke her but I loved how Duke loves Kelani. I hate that the book ended I want more!! My favorite author!!!

Not your typical love story...
JKL was not a disappointment. After reading XYZ, I was anxiously waiting for this release! It was worth the wait. You can tell this author takes her time when creating characters and story lines due to the fact her stories are not the typical love story. Although it was a stand-alone, it was well written indeed. Looks forward to more of this author work.

Oh wow! The Alphabet Author does it again. Her story is are out of the box and contains just enough drama suspense and gunplay to keep the pages sliding. The characters are well developed and I love them. One click for another five star read from The Alphabet Author.

Kelanni was a shoot first ask questions never type of person. After getting played one too many times in life sis was doing the playing and she was winning! If I was a gambling woman, I’d bet it all on Kelanni! She made a living getting n*ggas to fall for her and fall hard only to take them for everything they’re worth!
Her motto was “No F*cks” and this was what she lived by. After ending the life of someone that violated her friend, her reckless behavior led her to be the new “muscle” for Duke. These two did not mix at all especially since Duke ended up on the wrong side of Kelanni trigger happy ass one too many times.
What started out as strictly business, quickly blossomed into more and these two did everything to fight the inevitable! BABYYYY!!!! This was a roller coaster ride!!! Duke and Kelanni were vicious on their own but together they were unstoppable! I love when two Alphas battle it out and HUNTY these two battled!!!!!

What a will ride..
Loved this spin off from XYZ...loved Kelanni and Duke together. That were soul mates and an odd moment in the men's bathroom brought them together. Cherry was a firecracker and loved her lady thug persona. Jealousy and Envy fueled this amazing story line. Bravo!
