Rate this book
This modern and quirky spin-off of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic is a must read. Set in Dublin Ireland, Book One covers the curious story of Dr. Watson, a doctor who was wounded and lost his leg and his funds. In an effort to keep financially afloat, he becomes a caretaker for a Ms. Sharlock Holmes, a single mum with Aspergers and hypoglycemia. Watson is shocked to realize that Ms. Holmes has many strange hobbies as well as brilliant obsessions. She remains shrouded in mystery, and often disappears to odd places. With a few clues from her cook and lifelong friend, Omar, Watson soon realizes that the more he knows about the odd life of Ms. Sharlock Holmes, the less he can deduce as to her identity. However, an odd misplaced insult leads to his discovery that Ms. Holmes is an incredible detective. This begins a whirlwind journey filled mishap, mystery, mayhem, and many misadventures with Ms. Sharlock Holmes. This start to an incredible series is an essential addition to any Sherlockian's / Holmesian's library. The decision is elementary. With black and white illustrations.
