I totally enjoyed Glykorans story. When he is sent in to exile he leaves his mate and his daughter on his home world thinking that it was best for them and their survival.
Time will tell if that was the right decision or not.
Celeste falls for this hot stud of an alien but she fights her feels because of his family.......see what happens.......
No matter how many times I read this story it affects me.

Sweet commitment

Even though this story comes from a heartbreaking tragedy, it was endearing to see the patience and commitment that was given by the female character in this book. This story may have broken a few tears from my eyes.

I loved this

This was another nice story. I love the way all the characters from the books prior to this one are present. Everyone’s story builds with each book. Keep them coming.

Celeste falls for Glykoran and refuses to leave his side even though he has a wife and child. When he learns they've died he doesn't think he'll ever recover. Liked the twists and turn of this story.

This is the seventh story of Rebels of Sidyth. You don't have to read the previous books to understand, but it does help and characters from previous stories are in this one too. I really have had fun reading this series so far and I am looking forward to the stories to follow about the rest of the characters. I can see this series going for many more! (There are a few spin offs and prequel type stories about some of the girls in this series.)

The background of this series is that an alien race, the Sidythe, on their home planet, treat women very poorly. If a man is unhappy with his wife, she gets sent away and never heard from again. Females have no rights and the only thing they are good for is for breeding. There is a section of males, mostly younger, who believe that females shouldn't be treated that way. Among these believers is their Prince Korben, so their king has sent these believers into exile on another planet. They 'purchased' 20 human females who are space entertainers. In this story, humans are thought of as just barely better than speaking monkeys. These females were brought to the new planet of Hethdiss, it was really to find mates. Here females have rights. They are NEVER to be forced to do anything they don't want. Punishment is death. In the previous stories, the females have mated with some males. It is love and most of the females are now preggers and there are a few children (sprogs) too. The males adore their females and the females adore their males.

In this story, Celeste gets her chance. Since she was forced into becoming an Interstellar Call-Girl, being around Glykoran she finally feels safe. She knows he has a mate and a sprog on their home planet, but just being around him she feels safe, not only from outside influences, but she knows that he will never try anything with her because he is an honorable male. She has always kept her true feelings from him, not that everyone else can't see how she feels. When a supply ship comes, news from their home planet comes too. There were many murders and riots from people who like the old ways and people who support the Prince's ways. Glykoran's family was murdered. Not only murdered, but murdered as a way of showing people what happens to those who support the Prince's way of thinking. She wants to comfort him, but he won't talk to her. Over time, she starts to put more space between them. It breaks her heart that he won't talk with her, even look at her. She goes from sleeping outside his room every day, to every other day, to once a week, now not at all. Over time, she starts to put more space between them. She tries to get on with life, but she can't. She helps the others with their babies, knowing that she will probably never have any of her own. Now that Glykoran is no longer around her, there are a few males that are interested in her for a mate. One of these males is Iriel. He tried two times to claim a mate that wasn't interested in him. He has been getting more aggressive with Celeste, and the more aggressive someone gets with her, the more timid and submissive she gets. She doesn't want to report him, because she doesn't want to draw any attention to herself. She doesn't tell anyone. Now that it is a year since Glykoran's family died, he is slowly coming around everyone, except her. She tries to keep up with what he is doing, and she is really concerned when he goes out for long periods of time and is hanging around the Great Cliff.

Glykoran is an honorable male. He is there to support the Prince and is his principle advisers. He usually would stand guard at the opening of their home and Celeste was always with him. They were friends and could be around each other for hours on end and not get on each other's nerves. Now he feels guilty about his feelings for Celeste and also feels guilty that if he claims her for his mate, that there are other males who have never had a mate, why should he have his second? He fights himself the whole book about this, which I wanted to hit him upside his head about. When he thought about other males claiming her, he would get jealous. One male kept asking him if he was going to claim her, that if Glykoran didn't, he would be interested in her.

I won't tell you what happens from there, but I am happy to announce that Iriel was banished!

Exiled from their home planet for refusing to follow Sidyth customs and sent to an out of the way world to fade into obscurity, these aliens are different in their respect for women. Most of them are looking for a new start with a Chosen mate. Many have already found their mate and children are being born. Glykoran’s situation was different. He had been exiled, leaving behind his wife and child. So he was not looking for a mate. Instead, when a human female pays excessive attention to him, they turn it into friendship. Celeste stays by his side through his mourning. But he doesn’t think he should take another mate when the other males haven’t found their mate yet, not questioning if that is what Celeste wants. And Celeste lives with guilt that his loss was her fault because she selfishly wanted more from him, and now only a shell of the man she loved remains. But gradually, over a year, things started to be better – even though Glykoran barely spoke to her anymore.

Celeste went to get something to eat, happy to find herself alone in the kitchen-like area. At least until the creepy Iriel joined her. She didn’t trust him; his leer brought back memories of the aliens in her past who used and abused her while they paraded her around in a collar and leash. Without Glykoran around, several other males had started sniffing around and she didn’t like it. Iriel, a natural bully, made his moves on her, and her submissive training toward men who terrified her kept her from putting him in his place! Fortunately, feisty Mia strutted in and told him to back off and let Celeste pass so she could go check on Glykoran. Will Glykoran ever be able to realize she loves him and stop resisting her? How long can she hold out against the advances of other men if he won’t stake his claim?

I have followed this series from the beginning and really enjoy it. Some stories are more intense than others, but I’m comfortable with the characters and really like them. Grab your copy and see if Glykoran will finally make his move before someone else takes his woman away from him.

After years of being abused as an Intergallactic Call Girl, Celeste finds peace when she arrives on a planet with 20 other women where the aliens respect the women and do not force them to engage in sexual acts. The arrival of women is aimed at finding equal partners for both men and women. Man and woman choose each other.

Celeste is a traumatized woman and insecure when dealing with men. She quickly feels intimidated and anxious as a result of her experiences. With Glykoran she feels safe, he already has a mate and a child and does not see a woman to use in her. Then comes the message that Glykoran's wife and child have been killed. Glykoran is overwhelmed by grief and does not know what to do with Celeste who stays close without bothering him.
Before the death of his mate and child, Celeste and Glykoran were good friends, but the feelings goes deeper for Celeste. She would like to help him but he keeps his distance.
During the period that Glykoran is in mourning, other men have turned their eyes to Celeste. She has never given in to the wishes of others, but it is not made easy for her. If Glykoran does not choose her as his mate, how long can she continue to reject the others?

A well-written story in which the traumatized Celeste tries to find her happiness despite all the bad experiences she has had with men. Where she fights on the one hand to get the attention of a man and at the same time tries to evade other men. Where she is empowered to Glykoran (where she feels safe) to her submissiveness to men who come too close.

Too long

I have followed this author through this series and the books have been so different reflecting the different characters. I have loved many of the books in the series and I did want to know if and how Glykoran and Celeste would get together, or if their relationship would grow as friends

This would have been a great novella, but the story was stretched to fill a novel so is was a long gloomy book and not a book I would read again. I found myself skimming pages wanting the tone of the book to change, or the pace to increase, but it never did.

I finished the book simply because I wanted to know what happened, not because I enjoyed the book.

Ironically the next book has a feisty character and if the author is true to form, it should make a great read so I will be grabbing that when it is released

Book seven in the Rebels of Sidyth series and this has been my favorite of this series. A well written story with a great storyline. Glykoran got news that his wife and daughter had been killed and he takes it very hard,Celeste has been by his side since the human women came as a friend. When he first hears the news he wants no one around him, it has been a year and he decides he wants to join his family in death but Celeste stops him. Will she be able to help him heal and will their friendship turn to love? To find out those questions I say read this book, and if you do I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I recommend this book. A male who lost his family and the women that will not give up on him. Glykoran chose exile leaving his mate and child behind when they are killed to make an example he does not think he will ever recover. Celeste has always had feelings for him but they never took it further as he has a mate. When they are killed in his mourning he stops talking to her. However she never gives up on him and when he almost chooses to die things change. Can Celeste show him he is the one for her and can he get over his guilt enough to show her he loves her? This is my first book in the series and although I enjoyed it I think I would have understood the world do much better reading form the beginning. I will be going back to read this series from the start definitely a good read.

A well written paranormal read. The story flows well and keep you interested till the end. The characters are likeable and you feel their emotions. The chemistry between Glykoran and Celeste is steamy. Celeste has always been attracted to Glykoran, but there is a problem he has a wife and kid back home. So she will be his friend only, and when he becomes a widower she stays be him being his friend. Glykoran isn't looking for love again, but as he spends more time with Celeste, his thoughts start to change. Will he love again?

Celeste met Glykoran and had an attraction to him but realizing he has a family back on his planet she satisfies herself with being his friend. Then comes the news that his wife and daughter have died. Glykoran is crushed. But a year later he feels attraction to her but at the same time guilt for those feelings. Will Celeste and Glykoran be able to become something more than friends?
Another wonderful story in the series that adds more infor about the Sidetha and their ways that forced the Prince and many of his friends to leave their planet.
Fantastic story and read.

Committed to the Alien by Sabrina Kade is the seventh stand alone book in the Rebels of Sidyth series. In this book, a human woman named Celeste is in love with an Alien named Glykoran on an alien planet named Hethdiss. This books characters are likeable and the plot is compelling. This is truly a special love story where the feelings of the female character drive the plot and her willingness to wait prove that persistence pays off. I loved this story and was really was happy to see Celeste and Glykoran get their happy ever after ending. Committed to the Alien is a sweet and sexy romance.

This is a little different than a lot of human/alien stories as they are on a planet where the women are treated well and not forced to do anything by the male aliens. Love has been blooming in the heart of a human female for a while, but the alien had a wife and child on his old planet and then on hearing they were dead he had to go through his mourning which broke him. Can the human female’s love help the alien heal or has she been holding onto false hope for all this time?

I loved this story. It really tugged at my heart strings when Glykoran lost his wife and child, he was just so sad. Celeste had been his friend for some time but knew that he wouldn’t appreciate her attempting to console him, she also was so sad. However, their story develops and their friendship restarts and turns into a meaningful relationship. A fab read and looking forward to reading more.

The inner fight that both Glykoran and Celeste were heartbreaking to read about, yet comforting for me.

Finally, it’s Glykoran and Celeste’s story. I was always wondering about them through the other series. It was a heartbreak at first, trying to recover from the lost of a mate, the grief, the feelings of guilt but they made it through and their relationship is much stronger. They both deserve a chance at finding love and happiness.

This is the seventh book in the Rebels of Sidyth series and while you do not have to read the rest of the books in the series, why would you want to miss out on a great series. I have really enjoyed reading through this series and getting to know the girls and their Sidyth and can not wait to read about the rest of the girls including those in the second group.

Great series

This books touches on difficult issues of loss and quilt as well as devotion, friendship and love. This book was more of an emotional read rather than an action packed one. Waiting on next couple of stories as well as the plot with the "outsiders".
