A curse far more deadly looms over them all, one that could bring the world to its knees. With Knight by her side, Lisbeth must seek answers from the most fearsome legend of them all. But the truth they uncover there may end up being their greatest weapon.
Can Lisbeth and Knight rekindle their love in time to save them all? Or will their failure plunge the world into a nightmarish madness?

As mentioned in the description, this is a slow build reverse harem paranormal romance. You may not see the harem for several books, but don't fret! It's definitely there!
If slow build isn't your thing, that's completely fine! But if you don't mind waiting a little for it, keep reading!

I was given a free copy of this book for an honest review.

The last and final book of the Born Vampire series has given us the perfect closure. With the many twists and turns in Lisbeth's life, she must focus on saving her race. With the war between Born and Turned Vampires coming, Lisbeth must act quickly to bring together the Lycans and Vampires if they want a shot of survival.

I admit this book brought me sadness and joy. I am truly sad it is over, as I really enjoyed the story and characters. And it brought me joy because I am so glad certain things happened. No spoilers here! Go read it to find out!

Thank you to Elizabeth Dunlap for sending me these books and for waiting so long for me to post my reviews. I can't wait to see what else you come out with.

Loved it

Have read all three books and they were outstanding. The story line was easy to follow and the characters were great. It was suspenseful and had you guessing who the traitor was. Can wait for book 4

I devoured this book. Elizabeth Dunlap’s writing style is so refreshing!
This third installment in the Born Vampire series is wonderful. Intrigue, love, war, action (in both the fighting sense, and the other sense if you get what I’m saying 😉), mystery, laughter... the ending was perfect. Bring on the next!!
Also, I’ll be sad when the series is over. I love it!

I'm jumping the ball here because I've already read this! Perks of being friends with authors. (Please don't discredit my review for that.)

So I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I do wish there were more of certain characters that showed up. I can't say who cuz spoilers! I do love how Lisbeth grows over the books and how her and Knight's relationship isn't INSTANTANEOUS. Spoilers! I like how Lisbeth finally had a breakthrough about that. Was that a spoiler, too? Oh I don't know! Go read the book and delve into the world of the Born! :D

Book review of War of the Chosen (Book 3 of the Born Vampire series)by Elizabeth Dunlap

Lisabeth is a force to be reckoned with. With Knight, Arthur, Lycan and the Born Vampires ... how can she fail.

She is told she will gave 3 sets of Visitors closer to the beginning of the book ... Whoa Momma ... does she get some interesting visitors.

She also find long lost parts of her life back with some surprising information to go with them.

Oh Arthur ... I need for him to get over himself and get out of his own way!

War of the Chosen by Elizabeth Dunlap is the third book in The Born Vampire Series. This stand alone book chronologically begins after the Child of the Outcast book ends. In this book, the council of born vampires calls a meeting with the Lycan’s Alpha’s to discuss a treaty to band together against the turned vampires who have started a war. The born vampire council has Lizabeth speak for them to try to convince the Lycan’s Alpha’s that working together to save humanity from the turned vampire threat is in all their best interests. These treaty negotiations occur right after Lizabeth is still recovering from birthing her newborn hybrid daughter. Upon greeting the Lycan delegates, she is shocked to discover that the Lycan she loved but thought dead is actually still alive which causes her quite a shock. This story has many different plot threads that are woven together so seamlessly that the story just flows together. There is lots of suspense, mystery, and romance throughout this tale as Lizabeth comes to terms with her current reality and the three unique men who she loves and who all love her. I adored this book! I couldn’t put it down! This story is not just entertaining but deeply compelling with an amazing sensual steamy romantic buildup that practically caused my ereader to overheat. I know any paranormal romance reader will love this book. War of the Chosen is an amazing reverse harem vampire romance!

This is NOT a Y/A book as stated in the blurb, maybe a N/A, but definitely not younger than say 16, since there is sexual type scenes & swearing. The book definitely had some flow issues & other things that did take away from the story. The world building is not real well done, and there's a lot of things that aren't clarified or just happen to conveniently. The character development is a disappointment, I really wanted more from the main characters. But it definitely does not read like a RH that the author says is there as a very slow burn RH. After reading books 1-3 -and never got the impression of a RH -at all. I was very frustrated with Lisbeth in this book, making me really hate her. I might have considered going on to book 4, except at the end of this book, is chapter 1 from book 4, and it takes place 35 years later, with no RH/ménage with Lisbeth, Knight & Arthur. Lisbeth is stringing the poor guy along (for 35 years!) and it just made me mad. The emotional connection between the 3 characters is just lacking. Knight was so different in this book as to not even feel like the same character from book 1 & 2. This book & chapter 1 from book 4, ruined the series for me...no way would I want to continue, & now I regret reading the series at all.

*After the fact = I've read books 1-3, and Ugh, I wish I hadn't bothered with this series now!

She did it, again!

I read book 2 and 3 in a single night because I couldn't stop reading. This authors imagination and penchant for action is unparalleled. I've never had so much fun being scared for characters before. Our heroine's die hard sense of humor in the best or worst of circumstances speaks SO loudly to me. And her commitment to her duty and her family is simultaneously heart-wrenching and heart-warming. I fall more in love with these characters with each book I read.

Gotta love a vampire, werewolf, and lichen story with all kinds of mixtures in the bunch. This story had some amusing exchanges but also quite serious in the complications encountered. My problem was that I felt like I had missed out on some previous activities and I was lost for a while. Even so, I was able to get into the story and enjoy it.

OMG! This book was so amazing, a total emotional rollercoaster, I was alternately laughing and crying through out the book! I did find it a bit frustrating that it took Lisbet so long to make up with Knight and it was hilarious how he leveled the playing field. I was sad for Arthur - I never saw that coming! Ellora Sen-Gupta's narration was good, she has a lovely voice to listen to. I'm diving straight into book 4, I need to know if Lisbet's vision will come true!

I mostly skim through the series by this point because of the direction book #2 went into. I didn't particularly enjoy that the heroine ends up knocked up by someone she didn't even love romantically. But I guess this was used as a plot device to keep the story interesting.

The story is good so it's more "Its not you but me." Definitely give it a try!

I've read several books by this author and I am never disappointed. This third book starts just after the second one ends. Lisbeth has her hands full with her new baby, the Council, gathering allies, plus numerous surprises. She will need every bit of help she can get to survive this war. There were parts that made me cry, laugh, cringe and fume. This is such a good book. I look forward to the rest of the series which I purchased as a complete box set. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
