Eron Regha Horde never lingers in one place. They come, they raid, and they leave. I’m counting on that. Because I stole the Omega the Horde raided the house for, and I'm keeping her.
Kate Abducted, auctioned, then stolen, I will resist for as long as I damn well please...

Several years ago I read a few shorts by Milana Jacks and wanted to read more of her worlds. This book turned out to be a bad match for me, as I didn't like the heroine's nor the hero's personality. The hasty worldbuilding disappointed too.
Annnnddddd.... BOOM! This series is SO ON! I love it when you have a big series stretching out in front of you. Ice Planet Barbarians 1. Psy-changlings 1. I love that there is do much more to go and I have just dipped my toe into something good.
So far, it’s alien abduction meets weird class system and uncontrollable sexual impulses.
I just really like her omegaverse books. They are hot, funny, and sweet. Most omegaverse books aren't sweet but I love that Jacks has taken a softer approach to this world. She has created a unqiue world with unique characters. I wish this one had been longer.
It wasn’t a bad novella, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. There really wasn’t much of a story to it, the heroine was a tad annoying and the love didn’t ring true to me - more like lust.
This alien society used females as breeders and apparently they must be Omegas and the males Alphas. The Alpha needs dominance and his omega to submit. Thank goodness this was short.
HERO /HEROINE Kate was hiding in the bushes during a college hazing ritual and ended up getting sucked onto an alien planet. They call her an omega and are planning on selling her at auction. Eron is the only Alpha of his village of two thousand. He steals from the Alpha King to feed his people.
OVERALL THOUGHTS It was okay. I like the idea of this kind of world. I did not like the execution.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE This was written fairly choppy. From the story to the actual dialogue between characters. I was annoyed by how short they were with each other. The reader only has a vague sense of what is going on for the entire story. Also not a fan of the relationship development between our couple. Kate his hell bent on escaping and not having sex with Eron. Eron never says he “loves” her but that she is meant to be fucked by him and he doesn’t share. That’s it. By the end of the book she is so desperate for him because of her heat and says she loves him and he says it in return? That’s awful.
Is the love in the room with us right now?
The smut was below average at best. I don't even know if it's worth it to continue the rest of the series. The reviews are good but this one was shit.
Nah. Not really for me. This one was HOT, and I LOVE a hot M/F omegaverse, but I didn’t feel good about enjoying this one because of the Hero’s attitude. He was way too arrogant and entitled. I liked him when he was being tender and protective of the heroine, but he would revert back to his smirking arrogance, and not in a good way. I just wanted to punch him. It didn’t feel like he EARNED her submission, he just assumed that he was entitled to it because he was the better option/person for her to choose. Didn’t like that. I like a guy who knows when to be arrogant or possessive, and when to be humble and respect the heroine.
Still wanted to rate this book better though cus it IS a very enticing idea and I know some people aren’t as annoying as I would be by heroes with this kind of arrogance. MAYBE I’ll try one of the books later in this series, hopefully with an alpha that’s a little more willing to work with the heroine, or maybe a heroine who immediately off the bat is okay with his “alpha” personality 🤔.
Milana Jacks has a rare talent when it comes to writing her alien novels and from the very first book of her's I read I was hooked. Because of her intriguing stories I started a list of most favorite authors to read and she is on the top. In this story we are introduced to Kate and Eron. I fell in love with Eron and have decided I'm going to fight Kate for Eron - I want to adopt him. He's cute and funny. Every time I see a book with Milana Jack's name on it I'm getting it. I have recommended her to friends.
I really got into it. At first the writing style was stilted in that the FC is narrating so matter of factly about herself and the predicament she finds herself in. The Regha Horde guy brought it around for me. He is arrogantly funny and right about all his predictions. Otherwise, the conflict between these two is standard Alpha/Omega interaction, which frankly, I have not tired of yet. There is a twist, however, which is the lead into book 1.
I’m not sure how I feel about the whole knotting genre. I enjoy a good alien romance but knotting, females in heat, males in rut and Omegas are just not my thing I guess. I enjoy this author and think she is extremely talented. Her characters are always interesting and her world building phenomenal. I just couldn’t really enjoy the story because of the type of “heat” involved.
I feel like some of the romance and spice were summarized. Probably, the story could have supported more pages, but it was good. It wasn't offensive or ugly either, so I'm not sure what some of the more negative reviews are referencing. I don't think they read past the first few pages. Overall, it was a satisfying read.
Kate is kidnapped from earth, held prisoner, put up for auction and then stolen by Eron. This book is full of sexy scenes between an alpha and his omega human. Eron is protective and Kate is stubborn at first until Eron is taken into custody and she realizes what she had.
Im not sure I liked this book very much the FMC seems like she just accepted being in a relationship due to her dynamic, circumstances and attraction so if you're trying to get a good romance I would skip it If you enjoy the omegaverse then you may like it more also the MMC hes written so arrogant that even when hes being 'kind' it does not come across authentic
I loved the start of the Omegaverse! Eron is so Alpha Male!! I loved the chemistry between Kate and Eron. Thank you Ms. Jacks. Can't wait to read more about the Omegaverse.
Ok, this alpha male, Eron is different. He is the perfect Alpha in my view. I think it is his humor that softens him a lot! Interested to see if Kate is mentioned again in The Hordesmen series! Bravo Milana Jacks!
The story was solid, but I did get a little lost at first. Since it is so short, I had to figure out how this world that Kate came from was the same as ours and little details like this. Once I had that down, it was good.
This series is not for the faint of heart. If you like hot alpha alien men you will love this book! I am addicted to this author's stories. Eron is an Alpha, but is not part of the Horde. He stumbles upon an auction in his town of an alien female who appears to be an Omega. Kate was on Earth one moment and on an alien planet the next. She tries to do what she can to escape. But then she is taken during a raid of the house of the male who kidnapped her. This man seems different but is he different enough for her to change her mind about staying?
I like to think of Novellas as tasty little morsel bites you get from a fine dining establishment.
Then you get the bill.....and they tend to cost the same as the full course meal....
Anywho, with Kindle Unlimited, no worries to be had!
This book was definietly intriguing, and since it's just a novella i'll cut it some slack, Cause i dont expect to be WOWED in less then one hundred pages. I'll have to check out the full length books to see if the intrigue stays....well....intrigued.
