Having two men in your life, vying for your attention, is hard enough, but what if one of those men is dead?
Peyton Clark moved to New Orleans with two thoughts in mind--to escape a bad marriage and to fix up the huge mansion her great aunt left her. While her bad marriage becomes a thing of the past, her ownership of the house on Prytania Street is threatened. By whom? None other than a relative of Drake's, the ghost who happens to be haunting Peyton's house. Luke Montague is the embodiment of Drake in everything but disposition and he's proving to be a big thorn in Peyton's side.
To make matters worse, Peyton's health and her very sanity is suffering by some unseen force. Visions of ghosts dance in her head, warping her understanding of what's real and what isn't. Furthermore, these visions prove to be a warning of a larger threat that's impacting the city--antiques are going missing, stolen by the ghosts of children.
When Peyton gets involved, she'll face more than she bargained for--including witches, possessed dolls, a strange dog, ghostly pirates and her teenage niece.
Join Peyton Clark on her fourth adventure and prepare yourself for an ending that will knock your socks off!
I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.
My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.
Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!
Oh my, H.P. did it again! Playing with our feelings and leaving us hanging :) I love this series and have waited a while for her to write this book, hopefully it won't be long before the next one is out for us to read. This series is a must...💖💖
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! This book was SO good! So much is going on & then ending!?? I can not wait for the next book! I need to know what happens next! Great series! Payton is my favorite!!
Welcome back to New Orleans where the ghosts live among the living . Peyton is loving what she is doing . She has two men in her life Ryan the sexy next door neighbour and Drake the sexy ghost that inhabits her house . He once spent time in her body . She is torn between these two men , now lets throw in a niece who coming for a visit . To make the whole situation worse she is feeling horrible . Her health is declining and it seems like she is starting to go crazy. With the visions and Ryan drifting away from her . Her health declining and a dog that seems to help her out when she is feeling crappy . Then there is the mystery of antiques going missing being stolen by ghosts of childresn . Can she survive and will she ever get the happily ever after she so deserves . I really liked this series I love the characters . Peyton is a fiesty woman who can see ghosts . She is a really fun character . I really liked her and guess what I really like her with Drake . Who is dapper and suave . He will melt your heart as you read him Ryan is a sweet guy too but sometimes he can be a real idiot and you kind of want to hit him over the head cause well he is a male . Like Drake he is tall and sexy as sin . We do get some recurring characters back Lovie is back and trying to keep Peyton safe . We also get a new addition to the family Maggie Peytons cousin . Don't know what to think of her, I believe there is more to her then we know and I hope the next book will bring her out more . This is one a newer series by the author and I truly like it . The characters are well written and complex and you truly get invested in them . I love the fact that the story is set in New Orleans one of the most haunted city's in the world . The author takes us on a rollercoaster ride through out this book and you will gladly go along for the ride . The story will suck you i from the very first chapter. You will get invested in the characters and you will want to hug them or slap them upside the head with a frying pan . Oh and the ending will make you go what the heck . Its a great ending people and I so can't wait to read the next installment . So if you want a really good series to start your 2020 check it out . I promise you will love it .
This is the first book I’ve read in H.P. Mallory’s Peyton Clark series. I went into the book unsure if I would know what was going on since If You’ve Got It, Haunt It is the fourth book in the series. I worried for nothing. Sure, there are a few things that I didn’t understand but they weren’t anything that detracted me from the story or left me feeling left out or confused. Peyton and her resident ghost, Drake discuss things from the past but the occurrences were explained enough to keep me up-to-date.
Peyton Clark is a medium with regular contact with ghosts, spirits, and others in the world of sensitives. She and her boyfriend, Ryan, a mundane, have so much going on this book. Peyton is having weird visions and dreams, causing discombobulation within her mind. Someone is threatening to take her home away, and by that, Drake’s home. There are ghost children stealing certain artifacts from various placed around New Orleans. Mysterious women keep popping up in Peyton's dreams, visions, and life. To top it all off, Peyton's niece, Maggie, is here for a visit with news of her own. There is no end to the weird occurrences in this book.
I really enjoyed reading about Peyton, Ryan, Maggie, and Peyton's voodoo friend, Lovie. I enjoy the author's smooth and conversational writing style. The characters are likable, complex, and easy to read about and story is fun yet terrifying. I was thoroughly engaged and invested in the characters, story, and book, overall. Nothing in the book was resolved, leaving the reader with a cliffhanger ending. I highly anticipate the next book in the series.
I love the series but Book 4? It was quite disappointing. It was also somewhat boring. There's a story but it's a mundane one. The author has introduced a new character, Maggie, Peyton's cousin. I'm not sure why the author decided to add another person to this eclectic group. Whatever the reason, I found her to be annoying. Okay, she was irritating as hell not to mention childish. All she did was argue with Drake. She's a new "Sensitive" who thinks she knows all when she knows basically nothing. In fact, she came across as stupid. By the way, I thought Peyton didn't have any relatives?? Drake was hardly around which was disappointing because I love Drake. Such a great character he should've been up front and center. The only thing that I thought was terrific was how the book ended. Now that got my attention. But the rest of it? I honestly felt no suspense or intrigue; thought there were plot holes throughout; and the characters lacked depth, basically, it was boring. I'm hoping Book 5 does not disappoint.
Peyton Clark has finally found her niche. Her ties to the supernatural take her all over New Orleans. She loves helping others and learning about the spiritual world.
Peyton is still hung up on what to do with the two men in her life, Ryan and Drake. That's a decision for the back burner, because Peyton has family coming for a visit. On top of that, something strange is happening to Peyton, and it will take the work of family and friends alike to dig herself out of this mess.
IF YOU'VE GOT IT, HAUNT IT has to be my favorite installment in the Peyton Clark series. Peyton has really grown as a person since the start and she's someone to admire. Peyton may be a fly by the seat of her pants gal at times, but she's all heart. She'd do anything to help anybody. I'm not going to say what, because of spoilers, but things that have been going on since the beginning really start progressing in IF YOU'VE GOT IT, HAUNT IT. And that cliffhanger!!!!
I've enjoyed several different series by the author, and though none of them are super intellectually stimulating, they are what they intend to be - entertaining quick reads. I felt the same about the first 3 books of this series, but the latest book falls short from several plot holes. First, there were several mentions of Paytons low running financial resources. The first book set up that her divorce basically set her up for life with no worry of money ever again. Second, it was also established that she had no contact with any family besides her mother, but this book speaks of family reunions and a familial lineage of sensitives, along with an aunt and cousin playing key roles in the story. There were a few others, but I don't want to give away too many details. Overall, the writing of this felt rushed and less enthusiastic about telling the story than the others. Hopefully the next will get back on track.
Peyton Clark has moved to New Orleans where her ownership of the house on Prytania Street is threatened by Luke Montague, a relative of Drake, her ghost love interest. Peyton's health is causing her problems, and she is having some confusing visions and dreams. Then there are ghost children stealing certain artifacts from various placed around New Orleans. Peyton's niece, Maggie, is here for a visit as well, and the action never seems to stop! Will Peyton find out what is wrong with her? Will she lose Ryan as her other love interest? And what are the ghost children stealing for?
I never get tired of this author’s books! The story line will pull the reader in, and the primary characters are familiar to the reader by now. Grab your copy and catch up on everything going on in Peyton’s life right now as she tries to make sense of it all!
Peyton Clark finds herself a victim of dark magic and her relationships up in the air in this installation of the series. Friends and a visiting cousin work together to try to keep her safe. I love New Orleans and it is always fun revisiting landmarks in books. How do you choose between a hot boyfriend who resembles a lumberjack and a romantic ghost? Hmmm
This was an entertaining, well-written book. Peyton's health is suffering, she is having some confusing visions or gaps in time and Drake's descendant, Luke, is trying to claim ownership of her house. There's non-stop action, and there's no predicting what will happen. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.
O....M....G!!! This book just through me for a loop. You think that Ryan and Peyton have a great relationship but this is truly testing...and the outcome is shocking. Peyton gets basically body hijacked and has to find a way to cure herself. There is a fabulous sex scene and a very shock end that ends in a cliffhanger. I’m just begging for the next chapter in this drama!!!
This book is so good. I loved reading this book so much I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. If you have been reading the other books in this series then you definitely want to read this one.
Reilly enjoyed this addition to the series! Loved the twist at the end and hope, hope, hope it won't be long before the next book comes out to find out what's next for Payton and Drake. Totally enjoyed the ending in this book!!!!!
I loved this series and was glad to be back in Peyton world. While not my favorite book in the series it was a game-changer and it had a shocking ending. Now I'm curious on how this will all play out.
I absolutely love the Peyton Clark series. It is my favorite series by H P Mallory by far!! That ending!! Omg dreams really do come true!! Wish book five was out NOW so I could binge read it. Sooooooo good!!
