*Note from Author* This can be a stand alone book, but would be better if read after both the Texas Knights MC books and the Texas Kings MC books. After a hard childhood and a long stint in prison for his mistakes, Tucker Martin is learning how to live a new life, surrounded by his new brothers in The Texas Kings MC. Life has taught him quite a few lessons though, and one of those lessons is to never show weakness. As much as he wants to belong, he can't do that until he bares it all to his new brothers in the club. As hard as it is for him, he has to know that they will be there at his back, supporting him through it all. Drea Dawson grew up around both the Texas Knights MC and the Texas Kings MC, and is considered family to the brothers in both clubs. Her smart mouth and fierce loyalty are appreciated by her friends, and through the years they have helped her deal with the problems she has in her family life. When Tucker and Drea get together, they have to learn to trust themselves at the same time they are learning to trust each other. Through highs and lows, and shocking revelations, Tucker and Drea find out that they are stronger side by side than they ever were apart.
Well i definitely wasn’t expecting that. I put it together after a bit but still surprised me. Didn’t see it coming. Another great read by this author. This group/family is becoming one of my favorites. They are up there with the Gallos and a few others. 🥰🥰
So I knew how this one was going to end as I've read all of the Texas Knight books and Tucker was a background character in a couple of the books. Drea has always been such a ball buster I looked forward to seeing how she and Tucker ended up together and this book did not disappoint. I liked that once again we had instant attraction that both of the couple acted on, loved how they were just together and how everything was great until Drea put 2 and 2 together and realized the story she heard from Kari was the same one as she her from Tucker. I hated how things were miscommunicated in the aftermath, hated how Tucker thought he lost everything, when for once in his life he had it all. It was a good thing that it didn't take long for Tucker to get sorted out and to see when he thought he had it all before, it was nothing compared to what he had now.
I loved how this one ended, from Drea and Tucker's first Christmas to a party oh so many years later, all with family around.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I loved Tucker! It was amazing. There was fun, love and family bonds. The surprise was holy shit this is intense and amazing.
Tucker Martin didn't think he would get a second chance with his life when his first chance led him down a destructive path of drugs and alcohol which put him in prison. Getting a chance for a restart he joins the Texas Kings MC and find his new normal. He doesn't expect to meet Drea Dawson who is a close friend of the MC, she is interested in him as well. What will happen when Drea finds out about his past will she be willing to stick by his side during the good times as well as the bad?
This was completely different then the other books in the series. I liked it quite a bit. Had some resolution to the stories surrounding the Dukes. Drea was interesting,s he carries a lot of weight on her shoulders. I liked Tuckers story quite a bit, great book if you are looking for one about redemption.
Cee Bowerman was introduced to me back in 2019 from a friend I had just finished book 3 of Lola Wrights books and was looking for something else to read along the same lines, I found that and so much more. We started off with The Texas Knights and after 2 books went onto the Texas Kings, I love all of them not so keen on Sonny's story if I am totally honest, and if you asked me why I couldn't answer honestly I just don't know, I loved Brenda but Sonny not so much. Any way onto Tuckers story one word BRILLIANT, I am loving how Bowerman is adding depth and feelings to her books the silly mistakes, when it was announced which book she was writing next I couldn't understand why, when there are so many other characters and Tucker was a relative newcomer only mentioned in Sonny's story but we were also given Drea' who I have loved and was hoping she was getting her story as well, this tale had me shedding tears there is one particular scene when he is walking in the snow had me sobbing. Cee Bowerman has brought us one heck of an MC story that is more an the family side how they all gel and knit together. Tackling blended families, racism, gay love, briefly touching on them with out having to have an entire backstory. I love these books. John and Mattie are up next or so I believe I also know who the lady love is going to be and yes I guessed correctly. Cee is my find of 2019, are they the best books ever written 'NO' what they are is a cup of love and who doesn't need that in these day
Reading Tucker answered my questions I had after Smokey!! It was so much better than I expected & I expect a lot from this series 😀 Tucker & Drea had several obstacles in their way, but they overcame it all I loved this book!!
What a sweetheart Tucker is. I liked him from previous books and was excited to get his and Drae’s story. I liked how out author worked in the issues and treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism. Sweet romance, great characters.
I do NOT consider it to be a STAND-ALONE read. Cee Bowerman authors multiple series set within Rojo, Texas and they are intertwined. There is a correct reading order and it can be found on her website (ceebowermanbooks.com). These really do need to be read in that order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are multiple reoccurring characters, details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe (world building), with past and concurrent timelines and overarching themes.
** There are some scenes that will be a trigger for sensitive readers. I have included examples below. Also, if you have not read the previous story in this series, the following may contain SPOILERS **
Another great story in Rojo, Texas! A secret or two are revealed, which may or may not lead the family to expand … The plot was kind of telegraphed for me. Despite this, I still highly enjoyed the way that Cee Bowerman handled it; could have been a disaster.
Tucker is a new prospect for the Kings. He served time with Sonny and they were both pardoned after they helped to save the State Attorney General’s relative. While I enjoyed the layers, they weren’t absolutely necessary, as his background and actions were enough imo.
One last note before I wrap this part up for readers not sure about the genre … the MC genre contains several different branches from sweet to outlaw to one percenters. While the Texas Knights MC is in the middle imo, the Texas Kings MC is more of the outlaw variety. Both focus on love, brotherhood, families and support, but the Texas Kings also bring vengeance to the table.
⛔️ The interwoven SERIES contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, (play) spanking for pleasure, restraints, “bottom” play, breath play, sensory deprivation, voyeurism, exhibitionism, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, alcoholism, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, rape, attempted rape, stalking, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, arson, drug use, drug addiction, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, polygamy, etc.
** Caution: The series contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females and children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **
There are a few grammatical issues in the story. Listed below are examples of errors I found within the SERIES: incorrect word choice (piece iso peace), incorrect word tense (one iso ones), typos (big[1] iso big, abou iso about, att iso at) punctuation errors (extra periods, commas, extra spaces, missed quotation marks, missed capitalization at beginning of sentence), missed words and extra inserted / repetitive words.
I highlighted one of the issues I found in this story specifically and uploaded it to Goodreads.com for anyone interested. I am mentioning these issues for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
Tucker has had a pretty awful life. He was in prison with Sonny and got the same amnesty after they saved the nephew of a powerful man. Sonny offered Tucker a place to start over and he went and became a prospect.
Drea has been around since the very beginning, and was in elementary school with most of the Texas Kings MC and the Texas Knights MC. She is intertwined with the group as though she was born into it. Drea’s life hasn’t been great either but she does have the MCs and her adorable Granny, which is a lot more than Tucker ever had.
Drea has been working like crazy and hasn’t been around much so Tucker and Drea had never met, despite him being around for a few months. When they meet they instantly click (of course they do, that’s what happens with this series!).
There are quite a few emotional and circumstantial hurdles Tucker and Drea have to get over in order to get their HEA, but they are up for the task.
This is another sweet insta-love book that has plenty of the warm and fuzzies, and I can’t seem to stop reading them!
With every story the Texas Kings and Texas Knights just get better and better. I cannot get enough (nor do I want to - I’m enjoying myself far too much)! I want to live in these books and be an actual part of this huge extended family. I love them all! ❤️
Like I wrote in my review of book #8, I feel that the author tends to get cold feet and doesn't thoroughly explore the most important characteristics or past experiences of her main characters. Here, Tucker has a really big secret. I think the author wanted to show that he had built it up so large in his mind, yet it wasn't this big bogeyman, because no one ended up batting an eyelid or judging him for it.
At the same time, how realistic was that? And why didn't anyone offer him help or encourage him to seek help? Cos there are now programmes to help people with this issue, and they have been quite successful. But instead of doing that, they enable him even more by just working around the issue. Again, like the author's treatment of PTSD in book #8, I felt the author did a disservice to those people who do actually struggle with this issue. (I'm trying to be super vague in order not to accidentally reveal any spoilers... but if you want to know: ).
The moment when Tucker tells his story to Drea was a very poignant one, especially when he subsequently feels that she cannot accept him as he is. Yet we never really see them talk it out or see her reassure him. This would have been a really emotional scene, more demonstrative of their love than saying the actual words, yet again the author chose not to include it. Somehow Tucker ends up being the one in the wrong for making assumptions, but his pain was very real and I felt that it should have been addressed.
There was a big revelation in this book that involved key people from both the Texas Knights as well as the Texas Kings MC. Although I liked how they reacted to it, it was honestly a rather odd plot and I didn't know how to feel about it. The issue of Tucker's mother was left open-ended and never resolved. Why did she leave her previous two families, yet not leave her current family?
After all the hype and build-up of Drea being crazy mean and so on, the reality of Drea in this book really didn't live up to it. She seemed really quite normal, if you compare her to the Texas Kings' other women like Terra (book #1) and Willow (book #5). I was quite meh about her in this book; she actually seemed quite a bland character. Tucker stole the show for me, he was real and raw and dealing with deep issues.
Looks like this series is getting back on track! There was a little drama and a tidbit of MC handling business. Great interactions with the couple. Not over done and not as much action or violence as I like in MC, but it was still a good installment. Tucker was really cute, sweet and refreshing. Drea, wow. I actually liked her! I liked how she picked around with the brothers. And I adored how open and accepting she was towards Tucker. She was into the relationship and caring. I love that they did super thoughtful gifts. I like there was some mentioning of holiday stuff. The secondary characters were involved just enough. It was not dark. But still a little drama. NO cheating! NO club girl or OW drama. It’s safe! There wasn’t an over abundance of kids in this one thankfully. They made some appearances, they discussed having kids. But the book wasn’t about kids, so it was enjoyable! The author appears to have reined it in and didn’t go overboard with the amount of unbelievable kid or fluff make believe as some of the previous installments had. It still had some comedy. I came away from this one pleased and happy. Was annoyed Drea did not discuss her concerns about Tucker’s reading with him! So definitely took a star off for her ignorance and ignoring behavior about that before he brought it up. It was obvious and she should have talked to him.
I am reading these sort of out of order... so, I sort of knew a lot of what happened from other tales.
I can completely understand why Tucker didn't shout from the roof-tops about his 'personal business'... his choice to share unless it effected other people. I liked Tucker, very much. He came across as a person who made bad choices as a way to deal with life. Who hasn't done something similar to one extent or another? No blame... no shame. I really liked Tom ( it is weird, this part of the story felt incredibly familiar to me... ), he was a truly decent man... ( yeah, in the back of my mind he has some sort of tragic back story that will be told... or, perhaps, has already been told... )
I didn't like Drea as much... not really through any fault of her own, but even though she has been in several other books in the series... I still didn't feel that I really got to know her. I also wanted more of a conclusion with what happened in her work-place.
Cee Bowerman is definitely one of my new favorite authors. Her stories are sweet, sexy, exciting and totally hilarious and Tucker just proves my point. Love, love, love this book! Tucker is the most precious guy...sweet, polite, with just a little bad boy edge to him. And then you have Drea. What can be said about Drea? That girl is a total nut! I found myself laughing out loud at her conversations with Clem and Polka Dot....the woman has made sarcasm an art form, oh my gosh...hilarious! I loved this book, it honestly almost had me crying at times. These fabulous characters, old and new, just grab hold of you and don’t let go. Loved my visit in Rojo Texas and can’t wait to see what Ms. Bowerman brings us next.
Drea has been a ball buster with all the guys from the beginning and I've been wanting her to get swept off her feet since. I struggld with this one. Drea is stronger than me because I don't know if I could have stayed with him since she grew up with an alcoholic. I knew from the menu that Tucker couldn't read. Plus when he mentioned his last name to Martha in a previous book I started putting that together. I'm wondering if they met with the mother. I thought she left to protect them but she left to protect herself and created a third family. Idk. One thing that I noticed in the epilogue he's a grandpa but Esme who is older than his grown children gets hassled over a guy. How old were his kids when they had their own?

Bowerman's approach to the subjects of alcoholism and dyslexia was done very tastefully. She blended them into the story, without beating us over the head with it. Alcoholism is a bitch that can destroy individuals and families. While people with dyslexia deal with feelings of being less than.. even tho that's the farthest from the truth. When my nephew started school, dyslexia was not well known. The stigma of being unable to read and teacher's making him feel stupid was a hard pill to swallow for him and my family. Thank God my family was friends with a lady who made it her mission to bring in educators to our town who could address the issue. Thank you Mrs Bowerman! And, as usual, great story!
oof was this book an emotional rollercoaster. i just want to hug Tucker so much 🥺
so much is revealed in this book. and honestly i am so proud how the Forrester brothers handled not only who Tucker and his father ended up being, but also his addiction and dyslexia. the MC only gave him support for his addiction and what he would need to continue being a prospect for the club.
i also loved seeing Drea’s relationship with the guys and how much shit she gives them. she’s been a constant secondary character in all the books, it’s good to see her get her HEA.
dual pov 28fmc / 34mmc no OW/OM drama found family HEA ♡ epilogue interconnected standalone

Wow if you could find two peas in a pod, then this couples dads/ sperm donor will win the prizes for being the sorriest excuse for human beings on this earth. It was sad to read that Tucker had been wronged from the time he was so young, and it lead him to alcohol and drugs at a young age as well and then prison time, but thank goodness he found a new home with his brothers in his motorcycle club and then step brothers and a step sister as well. It was also sad with the way that Drea's dad treated her and her precious granny, but it's never good to enable someone for their disgusting behavior. I am very glad that they found each other and learned what real love feels like. Happy reading ladies.
I enjoyed this book. Found both MC’s good characters that were suited to each other.
I honestly thought Drea’s book would be painful. She’s such a spitfire I thought it would be her fighting a relationship and the push pull that comes with.
So it was nice to see her give in so quickly to Tucker who I thought matched her perfectly.
It was obvious where the sub-plot was going and his connection to the Duke’s. This plot would have been great fleshed out more across the books. Build up suspense.
Like this whole series it’s full of insta love and lots of kids. Thankfully this one was a reprieve some secret children popping up and the MC’s taking them in!

I normally don't right reviews , because I have a learning disability that my spelling is horrible. I love to read. But the book home to me. With a disability and acholicism runs in my family. So I can relate to Tucker. I can say this author can make you cry laugh and what to rage when someone something wrong. She also so sometimes wrong for right reason is not to codem someone for there choice. I would recommend read as her books. The each touch a bit in everyone's heart .
This story will answer some family mysteries and still leaves a little unanswered. You don’t need to have read all the other MC books (this is a standalone). But this one does bring practically all the characters together for various reasons and parties. There is romance, angst, family mystery, and most of all, family coming together to for each other. I am going to have a book hangover for many days. Reviewed on Amazon & Goodreads. Just wish it could be more than 5 stars. Loved it!
This book didn't quite hit the mark for me and, quite frankly, I was disappointed that Drea wasn't the ball buster she had been built up to be in previous books. I liked Tucker's general character and loved how open he was about his primary struggle in life. I'm not happy with how a secondary issue was addressed in the book (or not addressed as the case may be).
Sometimes in a series there will be a book that doesn't work for you, just like songs on an album, but I'm loving this family and will continue with the series.
This was a great addition to this series. I really liked Tucker. The subject and his problems are a real fact of life. And Drea's character was strong too. I thought these two were perfect for each other. I love the closeness of these amazing characters and the storyline just flows. I can't wait for the next book. I know who's next but I'm waiting on Jenna's story. I highly recommend this series. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
I just finished reading this book. I am so sorry that it is done. I have read all in both series, Texas Kings and Texas Knight, but this one was so down to earth and real. I absolutely loved this one. I have found the series to be heartwarming and very well written. Again this one just tugged on my heartstrings. I wished more authors would take the time to create such in-depth characters that you can create a relationship with. Just an excellent read.
I chose this rating because this was actually a really great book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of compassion, kindness, understanding, and being the best person that you can be. I really enjoy Tucker and Drea story. They had to go through a few ups and downs but yet it still all turned out well. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
This series is awesome I just don't know what to say each story just continues to get better, I love MC Biker stories and have read a plenty some great, some good some not but this series I think really shows the Brotherhood and Family that a MC is built on. Again this series is awesome strong alpha men and the women who captures their heart it's a beautiful thing. Well Done Author !!!!!
Tucker & DREA are magnificent , story line plays out so beautifully. Who “Tucker” ends up being is pure Amazing. Kari ‘s mission to find the truth , revealing it to her best friend. And Tucker’s story puts all the pieces together for a happy ever after reunion.
As usual Fee Bowerman knocked it out of the ball park. This is the story of Drea and Tucker. Both had gone through abuse in the past. Tucker is an ex con with a history of addiction.. Their love story is sweet, hot, amazing . You really should read this book in the reading order listed on the authors website. It will enhance your reading pleasure when you are more familiar the characters. You won't regret it!
