Devil In Her Bed

Before Lincoln Zager, I was submerged in a happily ever after. It all came crashing down. The love of my life had gone missing and was presumed dead. That's the day I died inside.

Then Lincoln came along, and he was relentlessly determined to protect me . . . revive me. He offered me a second chance at forever. Lincoln had to thaw the numbness surrounding my heart. He fought me ... for me.

His sexy, muscular body is blemished with scars. And he taught me that my emotional scars have enhanced my beauty.

No matter how strong Lincoln's love is, another man harbors a dangerous affection for me. I have an obsessed stalker. Like Lincoln, he also claims that he will never let me go...

This book is a ***RERELEASE*** and now includes an alternate ending for your enjoyment.

"Devil In Her Bed" by Amarie Avant

My Thoughts...
Be ready for a very interesting erotic romantic thriller...

From the Stalker...[boogeyman, real crazy man] Jeffery Peterson aka Donald Dudley

......the stalked...Siobhan Lewis

who was killed? ....Samuel, Regina & Everett Godwin...funerals and a few more killings totaling...[15], Alton, Glendora Wilson.....now what has happened to Hosea Murrell...September 12, 2019

What did I think about it...well I like the ending with Siobhan and Lincoln.. the other alternate ending was OK but I like the first ending better. To get a look at the alternative ending please check it out... It will be a good read too!

.. Siobhan's ex? This is really some good reading!

saver of the day... Lincoln Zagar and his friend Bernard

add into this wonderful story more colorful characters...Siobhan's mom[Shania], dad[Deon] and friend from work... Siobhan's Executive assistant...Tamara...Siobhan therapist, Dr, Beck, Detective Ortiz, Maggie, Agent Quigley, Lenard Murrell & Elora Zager

This story taking place in several locations... Northern California, LA...Willow Bluff [hundred miles north of San Francisco], San Antonio, Texas, San Diego, Monterey Beach, Sweden, Fort Brags to name a few.

As the story moves along we are in Willow Bluff where Siobhan is hiding from the stalker.... she has a home and decides to go for a run and who does she meet up with during the run? Yes, that Lincoln Zager.

Now this story will take the reader on quite a long journey. Many questions will be asked.... Will Siobhan be willing to put her faith in this hot guy? What was it about Lincoln that even this stalker felt threatened? There will be lots of twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages to get more of this wonderfully told story. Now, I will say I had some problems with the heroine...to me, I felt she didn't think about certain things...like what could be the reason she wasn't able to get in touch with her best friend and her mom? Didn't she think that there was something wrong with the phones especially after not hearing from her best friend and mom after several weeks? Oh, well as the story continues..we find out more about that crazy stalker...wow is all I have to say. You will have to read this story for yourself to see how well this author presents us with such a thriller of a read.

Will Lincoln be able to find out who the stalker was and how does he handle it with the help of his friend Bernard? What will happen as Lincoln meets and becomes involved with Siobhan family? What had happened in Lincoln's life that had caused some of his weirdness toward his own family? What was it about Siobhan that kept Lincoln so captivated with her? Moreover, what was it about Hosea [a childhood friend] that Siobhan held so dear to her heart about him? But was it the same kind of love that Lincoln held in his heart for her? To find out all of these questions you will have to pick up the novel "Devil In Her Bed" to find out!

As the story moves on.... it seems like this stalker will stop at nothing! Or will he? This is a real nut
case!

Now, I definitely don't want to leave out the two...Siobhan and Lincoln...oh yes! It was definitely right on for this two...after they met after that run. I loved the music this author-supplied for the readers...Al Greens...' Let's Stay Together' and all of the hot steamy chemistry they had for each other! Why couldn't Siobhan believe that Lincoln wanted more than just keeping her safe? I know she said that she didn't want him hurt with all that was going on with her ...but really?

OK, moving on why was Siobhan hesitate in wanting to call the police about what was going on with her after she moved? What had happened earlier to her when a certain police Detective Ortiz was involved with her brother Sammy's death and Hosea disappearance? It was always interesting seeing these two falls out and then [Siobhan and Lincoln]...you know...getting back together again.

This stalker..what's he up to now? As the story goes on the reader really gets to see deep down just how crazy this person really is... messing with Siobhan's drinking waters, her security system, phones, and...well I will stop here and just say you will have to read what all this mad man had done or was planning to do! How will he be caught? But before he is caught who next will he kill and then he stopped but then started up again due to ***** asking about Siobhan? What had happened to him during his childhood that had greatly affected his mind? How this person was able to get in and out doing the things he did were simply off the chain...downright scary! This creep seems to be all over the place! Get ready because there will be a lot more happening in the read. I know I have told you lots but there is even more...

And who comes in and saves the day after it is all is said and done?!

Now, it will take a minute for this story to all come together. Then at the end when the reader will be seeking for....well after this author gives the readers one good read but to get there the reader will be presented with two endings. My favorite one was the first one. Will we get a HEA? ...[here is a quote at one of the endings]: that I loved.....
James 1:2-4
"Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

but you know how this author thinks [very well indeed] giving the reader another surreal ending...so the reader gets to choose which one they will like or really it could have both endings that could have happened in this romantic thriller. I am going to stop now only to say this story is one very well written story by this author. Will this Peterson creep get what is due to him in the end? Well, I have said more than enough so to find out all the answers to all of the questions asked you will have to pick up 'Devil In Her Bed' and see for yourself how this story has been presented so well to the reader. Be prepared to be blown away with this erotic romantic thriller read...especially with those two endings! Would I recommend "Devil In Her Bed?" YES!

****So, I picked up the next alternative ending on September 12, 2019****

What did I think about the alternate ending? Well I like the ending with Siobhan and Lincoln.. the other alternate ending was OK but I like the first ending better. To get a look at the alternative ending please check it out... It will be a good read too! This author has done a good job of trying to please all of her readers.

Wow!!! This story was truly awful. I do not know where to begin. Why are there so many freaking 5 star ratings? This story was so long and there were so many unnecessary details, that I could barely focus on the plot. I hated Lincoln. I thought he was the stalker. There was no character development or chemistry between any of the people in this book. After a few chapters in, I was sooo freaking bored!! It was a struggle to finish this book. The story was repetitive and the "plot" was too drawn out. This book could've been finished in about 20 chapters, probably less. Hosea's treatment was the worst for me. Siobhan was annoying and superficial at times. There is no way in Heaven or Hell I would forgive Lincoln's betrayal. Also, how in the world could you get over decades of being in love with someone and fall in love with someone new in a few months? LOL. Yeah ok. Hosea got no love from this author lol. You should write a sequel where Hosea gets his revenge and kills everyone LOL! JK.

Worth giving a chance

This is an a suspenseful and thrilling read. Lincoln is absolutely the best thing about it. The story is griping and I was kind of a roller coaster there at the end. My main issue are the beginning which the writing style make it hard to get through the first 20% and then the moment where that same, choppy, loopy, internal musing writing come back into play. When it’s all dialogue it’s great. The rest varied between interesting and confusing. But it was not enough that I’ll be giving other work a try

A Stalker and a strong woman

Siobhan was the object of a madman’s desire. She didn’t know what she did to Spark his interest and she doesn’t even know who he is, but she feels his presence all the time. She went to the police but no one believed her so she’s left to try and protect herself by herself.
One day while jogging she runs into an attractive rich guy who happens to be jogging at the same place. While sparks flew with Lincoln, Siobhan knew she was still being stalked.

I listened to this story and that was a big issue. Lincoln was British but the narrator’s accent was terrible. It was a distraction. Second, the dialogue wasn’t smooth and at times I thought “no one talks like that”. I liked Siobhan and I liked Lincoln. They were hard workers and they seemed like good peephole. The chemistry between them was okay but it didn’t grab me. The sex felt more mechanical than sensual but I think it’s the authors writing. It was telling the readers instead of showing.

The actual story itself was okay, but it dragged. It took me four days or imploring myself to keep going since it was recommend by a couple of reading buddies. I didn’t enjoy this one and I wouldn’t continue with this particular series. I will try another story by the author.

Didn't like it at all

I hate writing bad reviews, but I have to be honest. This book was horrendous. I don't understand the need for all the name dropping. Why did we need to know the designer of every outfit, shoes, watch, painting.... everything. Lincoln's car had buttery leather seats... I mean seriously? Every page she was going on and on about how beautiful the main character was. Regina was supposedly her best friend but the reaction she had to her murder didn't seem adequate to me. To be honest I skipped half of the pages in this book. It was too long, there were a lot of unnecessary descriptions, a lot of stupid reactions to situations, the way it was written was confusing, and the book was boring. I'm not sure why this book has a 4 1/2 stars maybe some of her friends rated the book, but I don't think I'll be reading another book by this author.

Devil

I *hate* 1st person, present tense narration, but I can work with it if the story is well written otherwise. This one is not. Scenes & POV jumped around so much that I couldn't keep track of who was who. I didn't get past the 1st chapter. It's too bad, cause I enjoy romances where the man is so strong & takes care of his woman against all odds. I just couldn't tolerate the writing style. 👎👎

This is my review and how I see it. In the Devil in Her Bed, author Amarie Avant takes you on a suspense-filled ride until the very end. She evens throws in an alternate ending like the Dream sequence like the 1986 third season of Dallas when Pam 'dreamed' that Bobby had died.

Siobhan - the lead character in this [how I see it] suspense story. Is being stalked by an unknown person. She has lost so much, first her beloved brother and then her best friend.

Lincoln - the knight in shining armor. Who falls in lust, then love with our broken heroine. Lincoln is such an alpha male and it was a little tragic for him near the end when he uncovers the very thing he least expected.

The Stalker - really tragic what happen to him that lead him to do the things that he had done. Man, this stalker was a clever little bugger.

This author really did her homework to delve into the psyche to write this story.

This story is for anyone who loves a good book. This book right here, for a minute there I almost thought that this was all in Siobhan's head.

The author has provided a free copy of her work in exchange for an honest review.

This is my review and how I see it.

This is like one of those murder mysteries we love to watch on TV. Siobhan has a stalker who keeps killing off people that she loves, so that she will turn to him. Her stalker is creepy because he manages to get into her bed with her at night and hold her while she sleeps without her ever knowing. Her Knight in Shining amour is Lincoln. In order to discover how he saves the damsel in distress you will have to read the book for yourself.

OMG!!! What a book, I really wasn't expecting this. It had all the emotions in this book from first page to the last, The love story with Lincoln is a bit dark so it makes you wonder who he really is and Jeffery what can I say about him, other than sick. It was fantastically written and has you gripped from the first page. This is truly worth it's 5 star rating.

Ok read

This book was OK for me. The plot was different. Lincoln and Siobhan's relationship was good, but I didn't feel the chemistry and connection between them. Some details were confusing to me. Even though it was a thriller, it was OK and didn't keep me on the edge.

This book was positively riveting! Imagine a pain (death) so consuming that you push the very essence of your soul away and he still returns when you need him. Imagine your percieved better half lying beside you when you close your eyes only to see no one the very next morning. What in the same heck are you gonna do? Who can you turn to for answers? Will the police be a hindrance or a blessing? Oh, and did I forget to mention, you have an obsessed admirer!
Siobhan decides to move to another location that allows her to ....... but she meets Lincoln. Her plans are slowly being ........ Siobhan is finally deciding to let her guard down and allows Lincoln on the inside. Will that open access become his demise?
If you ever want a book that will give you a rollercoaster ride with chaos, impatience, fear, manipulation, and plenty of passion, check out this awesome read!

Didn't want to put it down

I couldn't wait for this book to come out. I love Ms Avant's books and I must say this one exceeded my expectations. I was intrigued from beginning to end and didn't want to put it down, but I needed to sleep. There was so much pain, heartache, suspense, sadness, delusions, and anger from the characters. Siobhan definitely did not ask for all of the tragedy that she had to endure. She was stronger in spite of it all. I loved how she and Lincoln met it had me cracking up. Lincoln was amazing sure he did screw up a bit, but he was in love with Siobhan and couldn't stand seeing her to through what she was going through without doing something about it. I think we all need a Lincoln in our lives

What Dark tale to tell!

This story tells about what goes on in the mind of a stalker. I literally had to stop reading this book so my heart rate could return to normal, and give my brain some time to recover. The suspense and drama in this book was on point.

The stalker, Jeffery Peterson was a very sick demented psychopath. He was devoid of a loving relationship and bullied as a child. The love of his life and best friend, Glendora, rejected him and married someone else. He just could not accept that. In his mind he wanted to punish her for that. His way of thinking that if he sought out women who resembled her, he'd find out where they went wrong. Naturally, they could not tell him. Once he imprinted on a person, heaven help them.

That's what happened to Siobhan Lowe. Her cries for help when her brother Sammy died, imprinted on the stalker that she needed him. There was just one difference, she was not a blond with bright emerald eyes, she was totally opposite from Glenny. In the Stalker's mind, he was in love with her and was determined to make her see that, in his own demented way by stalking her.

Siobhan, totally shut down after the death of her brother and retreated even further when her best friend and lover Hosea Murrell disappeared, and retreated further into her own so called secure world. What she did not expect was to fall head over heals for her neighbor, the mysterious Lincoln Zager. She questioned her love and devotion for Hosea versus how she felt for Lincoln. He was able to get her out of her shell and bring life and love back to her.

Lincoln was totally taken by surprised how fast he'd fallen head over heals for Siobhan as well. He was determined to protect her and keep her safe under all circumstances. It was not until Hosea was saved that caused Siobhan to go into a tail spin. Lincoln was heartbroken by this, but Hosea, realizing he was broken as well gave his blessings for Lincoln and Siobhan's HEA.

Amarie wrote a very compelling story that describes the results of what happens to a person who survives bullying and the Angst and drama the victims of stalking go through to try to feel safe again. I knew from the reading of the book that something else had to have happened to Jeffery that kept him from being able to love, but I did not dream that it turned out to be what it was. Well done Amarie Avant. I enjoyed reading this book even though it almost gave me a heart attack.

I found this story to be filled with page turning suspense with just the right amount of romance. I was glad Siobhan was not a weakling. Jeffery was the ultimate crazy creep, and Lincoln...He was definitely meant to be a part of Siobhan's life. Great storyline. This was a well written story that I truly enjoyed

Fantastic and devious plot

This offering by Ms. Avant was a fabulous read. The storytelling was intriguing and held my interest from beginning to the end. The characters were complex and well developed to the point that I had to know how it would end. This story had all elements of what a truly satisfying read should be. Ms. Avant scored a perfect score. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. This work is highly recommended.

Super suspense

Amari Avant did an amazing job with this book! She sucked you in from the start and kept you hanging on to the seat of your chair. I kept thinking she would make a hero Lincoln out to be a bad guy and I would have stopped reading. All the characters were well developed and Peterson was a sick monster and believable, a monster that you kept waiting to be caught! I loved this book
