KELLY THOMPSON has a degree in Sequential Art from The Savannah College of Art & Design. Her love of comics and superheroes have compelled her since she first discovered them as a teenager. Currently living in Portland, Oregon with her boyfriend and the two brilliant cats that run their lives, you can find Kelly all over the Internet where she is generally well liked, except where she's detested.

Kelly has published two novels - THE GIRL WHO WOULD BE KING (2012) and STORYKILLER (2014) and the graphic novel HEART IN A BOX from Dark Horse Comics (2015). She's currently writing ROGUE & GAMBIT, HAWKEYE, and PHASMA for Marvel Comics and GHOSTBUSTERS for IDW. Other major credits include: A-Force, Captain Marvel & The Carol Corps, Jem and The Holograms, Misfits, Power Rangers Pink, and the creator-owned mini-series Mega Princess.

Kelly's ambitions are eclipsed only by her desire to exist entirely in pajamas. Fortunately pajamas and writers go hand in hand (most of the time). Please buy all her stuff so that she can buy (and wear) more pajamas.

This cover was missing the detail I loved from the past covers, but it was still fun.
I CANNOT BELIEVE this series is coming to an end while other shitbag lesser Archie series are still getting printed. This series was giving me hope for a brighter future for Archie and the general galaxy, but now I guess I have to let that go. At least this reboot got five issues, though it deserves infinitely more.

Wow wow wow wow wow.

This is my favorite issue of anything I've read this year. It's absolutely everything I didn't even know I wanted out of this comic and I'm so happy.

This one was probably my favorite so far in this series. The ending was breathtaking, and I really enjoy this lighter hearted Sabrina storyline, as opposed to the dark atmosphere of the modern remake. It is reminiscent of 90's Sabrina, but set in a modern age. Come to think of it, I'm not really sure if it even is set in a modern age. Either way, it feels more modern, and while this is not necessarily better, its refreshing to see. I really like the supporting characters as well, I hope I get to see more of them as the story progresses. Also, the art is beautiful!

This review contains spoilers.

With the aunties missing, Sabrina seems to take things into her own hands in this comic. Along with having her date with Harvey and having it interrupted by Ren.. Sabrina's secret of being a witch possibly being discovered by Rens sister in the school bathroom. There's just so much going on and to know that there's only one more comic to this series to wrap everything up before it advances into the Something Wicked series, I hope everything goes smoothly.

My Thoughts On: Sabrina the Teenage Witch #4

1. Aunt Hilda and Zelda didn't come home, and Sabrina and Salem are worried little beans about it. I love how Sabrina is depressed about it while Salem is very high-anxiety worried. What a duo!

2. Do the "witch women" that the townspeople want the mayor to lock up include Hilda and Zelda? And who is Della? So many questions...

3. I have no clue who I ship Sabrina with at this point, but I do know that I love this exchange. "You like horror stories, huh?" "Sure... Although, does a story of witches have to be a horror story?" "Huh. I guess not? I never really thought about that before?"

4. Wait, so Radka didn't know Sabrina had magic before this? She didn't even assume it since Sabrina said nothing about the weirdness of anything that's happened? This feels strange, but okay...

5. I don't know what Professor Sampson's deal is, but he needs to chill. Clearly, he has some sort of history with the Spellmans, and he's taking it out on poor Sabrina. I'm curious to see if this is explored in the next issue.

6. Sabrina's complete rejection and utter disinterest in two boys fighting over her like she's a prize to be won fills my heart with so much joy. "You guys work it out amongst yourselves. Let me know when the duel is or whatever. I'll see you at school on Monday." "Sabrina! Don't g--" "Sabrina? Wait, I'll walk--" " NO. "

7. I live for scenes between Sabrina and Salem. I always have, but this issue especially has such great exchanges between the two of them.

8. Veronica and Andy Fish's art in this issue is utterly fantastic, especially in the last few pages. The colors are just beautiful and vivid. I want a poster of the page where Sabrina rises in the air!

9. Salem's nonchalant reaction to Sabrina's epic transformation shows me that Thompson understands Salem on a deep personal level. "Not bad." "Not bad? Really?" "Okay, fine. Pretty good. "Pretty good from you is like a five star rating. I'll take it."

10. SALEM'S UPGRADE, GUYS! I CAN'T EVEN!

I'm not going to write a full review for this one, as it was a comic issue, but I can still tell you that I really, really enjoyed it. This is, for me, personally, much more entertaining than The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and is quite a nice mix of paranormal and regular teenage stuff, in my opinion. I'll definitely be purchasing the trade paperback of the first few issues, because I honestly have enjoyed them all a lot so far!
