This book is horrible. If I didn’t have to read it for work and know that we were having a meeting to discuss it I would have thrown it away after the first few pages. I get the concept. However as the book suggests it is common sense, it’s so simple. If people don’t understand that this is how communication works before reading this book it may convince them to not communicate ever because the book makes you feel dumb while reading it. The over use of descriptive words after each person speaks is ridiculous and overkill. It doesn’t need to be a novel that was not the right genre to choose for this type of information to be brought to the work force. It makes me cringe thinking about the fact that I read it and still have to discuss it, almost like watching those horribly make CPR videos from the Red Cross and AHA. Do not waste your time reading this. Just communicate your thoughts and feelings in a positive and constructive way and you can avoid this debacle.
