My name is Randall Lane, and I am an Author of all things Horror, Mystery, Suspense, and the Unexplained. I grew up loving and watching R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps. It wasn’t until the age of ten that I discovered a Frank Peretti novel titled "Monster" in a rural South Carolina Walmart. I never heard of the man, but thought the cover looked "cool". I read the book front to back at least three times that year. As soon as I learned it had something to do with Sasquatch, I couldn’t put it down. That book introduced me at an early age to the world of writing fiction. A little more than a decade later, I took the dive to become a writer and have yet to look back nor do I ever plan to. I enjoy developing unique and relatable characters who find themselves forced to confront terrifying circumstances.
Some of my most read authors include Stephen King, C.J. Box, Ted Dekker, Frank Peretti, Steven James, and James Lee Burke. I love the way these guys craft their stories, and their work has had a tremendous influence on my style and voice. If you enjoy reading a book from one of the fellows mentioned above, then my books will be right down your alley.
I enjoy kayak fishing, watching Brave's baseball games, and cooking various sorts of seafood while jamming out to some Creedence Clearwater Revival, Alabama, Bob Seger, etc. I'm also a huge fan of John Denver, Chuck Berry, Howlin Wolf, Hank Williams Sr, and so many others from the "good ol' days" as I'm quite the old soul at heart.

Having had an interest in the whole Sasquatch lore since I was young after me and my family's unexplainable encounter, I must say I have read countless books on the subject. Both fiction and non-fiction. Omah is 100% my favorite. The way Randall Lane crafted the story made it all feel so believable and it was impossible to put down. I found myself not wanting the story to end. The characters stuck with me for days. I still find myself thinking back about the family and all they went through. And the descriptions he gave of the creature's appearance, habitat, behavior, and mountainous terrain were so profound. This is a can't miss read just like all of Randall's books. Give him a try if you haven't already because you are certainly missing out.
I really enjoyed this story and its characters. I loved how Randall described the mountains and how the creatures navigated and survived in the wilderness. He did a great job creating the family dynamic and making the readers care about their outcome. This book was hard to put down, and I loved all the bigfoot stories and encounters layered in. Great read and one of the best Sasquatch books out there!
